Not Happy Campers...

I saw this one day about two weeks ago, on QVC Shopping Network.   I was busy doing something and just had the TV on for noise, when I hear them talking about all the things you can do with this little cooker.  Well, I quit folding clothes...oh yes, you just know that was hard for me to do... ;0)  anyway... when I finally understood that it would fly me to Mt Olympus...give me 20 years of my stolen youth back and provide me with years of endlessly flowing meals like magic...I bought one...I did.

I believe it's a glorified rice steamer, only better.  And I really think it is.  I bought the ultimate tester...a tenderloin.  About 12 inches long and four to five inches wide mostly in the middle of the loin.  Then, I curled it around the pot, snapped in place the lid and hit the cooker timer for the first hour.  It took three hours to fully tenderize but the timer only would cook in 60 minute increments.  After hour one, clicked off...I added 60 more minutes...time went by, clicked off...I added the last 60 minutes.  Time stopped...I let it sit for about ten more minutes the took the lid off...omword!  Did I tell you I added some chopped bell pepper and sliced onion, salt and pepper?  It was pull apart perfect!  It's like a mini pressure cooker and can cook tons of stuff.  If you're interested, look up HERE .  I love mine and it'll work great for the motorhome when camping!  I tried to make fajitas in our regular rice maker but didn't work...the difference is the lids.  Rice cooker just has a glass lid that you just set down on the cooker...the Cooks Essential has a lid you have to close and lock in place...makes steam cook under pressure.

Yes, I like to put out flags and such around the camper...

BUTT...before you head out onto the highway...the fur babies must have their annual toenail, butt, heart, rabies, worm, shots visit...and they stayed pissed at me and Larry for a good part of the afternoon!Hahaa...Bless their little hearts!  Libby looking straight at ME with that LOOK of treason...

Buddy trying desperately to find the escape hatch..,never did find it.  But, all ended well...they are good to go for another year.  Some parks want you to produce their shot records so don't forget to keep everything updated!
Well, guess I've bored you long enough.  Hope you all are safe and peaceful.  Will be over shortly to check on you!

Oh...did I forget to mention that I made some chocolate chip pecan cookies?

We used to bring a crock-pot when we went camping. This looks like a good option too.

Poor dogs. :(

What with the dogs and cooker, it looks like you're good to go.

Interesting little cooking thing. Shame it doesn't stay on for longer like a crockpot. At first I thought by your post title you were and unhappy camper with it! LOL but I see it was just the pups that were unhappy. Guess you are going on a road trip. Have fun and stay safe and go somewhere cooler than Texas!!

Your furry babies are beautiful. Our furry mates certainly do let us know when they're not happy with us...I know my two furry rascals do.

Your new cooker looks like it will come in handy in your camper. I'm sure you'll make a lot of tasty meals. :)

Oh my gosh, those cookies! YumYum! And me on yet another diet! Haha!
Hey, that little cooker sounds great, but I'd have to make a case for one more kitchen item (unused bread maker, waffle irons, steamer, Cuisinart still in the box after 2 years...)!

Glad you take such great care of your fur babies, even though their resentment is obvious. That look! Oh my! Well, I'm supposed to be listing my "stuff" on eBay. So long for now!
HUGS! :)
