What A Week....

The word Frazzled, comes to mind....I'm not really tired but I seem to be going in Too many directions at once!Hahaa....Since my kiddo decided to be out of the office for a few days, I've had to wear another "hat" at work. That's always fun but I think I wore it a little crooked this time. Oh well, it all comes out in the wash so onward and upward.
I don't think we've got anything wonderful or exciting planned for today...Guess I need to check with Hubby on that one. I know the patio needs to be cleaned off and doing a load of clothes wouldn't hurt...so...Coffee...I think I'll start there First. Y'all have a happy and Peaceful day!!

Women's Rights!Hahahaa....I think we need to go Back to being Women instead of "Male Wannabes!" I Like my doors opened for me...my man picking up the tab...flowers on special occasions, or not...my man checking for "boogers" when I get scared...squashing nasty bugs that have their flight plan aimed, straight At Me...taking my hand as we go down stairs...doing all the heavy lifting...mowing (most of the time)...cooking...WHAT?!!!!Hahaaa...
You get the picture. Don't get me wrong! I can squash bugs with the Best of 'em! Milk a cow and shoot guns....But, if I had my drothers, I'll just continue to let my man do the man things. Besides, I think he Likes it that way...Everytime I try to help him, he keeps confusing me with someone else named, Move!! Y'all ever hear of her??

I Missed It...

July 20th marked my Three Year Blogaversary. Can't believe the time has passed so quickly! This should be an excellent time to say a Hearty Thank You, to all of you, my Blogger Buds. Through all my highs and lows...you've been here. I try to not whine or moan...drool or cry. I want you to leave here with a smile and not shaking your head, thinking, "Lord, what a twit!"Hahaaaa.....or throwing your head back thinking, Oh Lord, not again!Hahahaa...I like it short and sweet...right to the point because that's the kind of person I am. I try not to be boring or long winded about...anything. And if I DO? I'm just venting. I write more like I'm using a diary instead of a journal. It just works for me...We all are different and I rejoice in the differences. You're my friends...family...and I'm SO happy you are in my life....Here's, hopefully, to another three years...

Toys...

Two new toys this weekend! The first one is a liquid soap dispenser (Bed, Bath & Beyond) and I LOVE it!! Had my hands full of pots, stuck my wash rag under it and "buzzzz"...Soap on my rag!!Hahaa....Then, I Demanded....my OWN grill to be placed on the patio! Makes it so much easier to grill when you don't have to walk to the back "40" to cook. I made pork ribs and think they turned out pretty good. I still need practice when cooking asparagus...over cooked them! Oh, and by the way...Our buying the grill is Totally Donna's fault (Cottage Days)....totally!! I couldn't unstick Hubby's face from the photo on her blog post about Their grill...Hubby was salivating all over my computer! Hence...MY new grill. It IS pretty...brown enamel. Should be easy to keep clean. I Also finished the book I was reading, The Help. Wonderful!

Well, hope you all have a wonderful Monday. I need to figure out what I'll be making for supper...on MY grill.

Not My Fault!!

I KNOW I've been taking a little longer to answer comments lately and I am SO Sorry! BUT!! I DO have someone to BLAME!!Hahaaaa...DELORES at Moving Forward with Alzheimers is TOTALLY to blame!!Lololol...Well, she IS! She left a comment the other day saying "how it was a nice day for reading a book called, The Help...Well, I went to the bookstore that very night to meet a friend and the first thing I saw, when I walked into the store, was The Help! I bought it...didn't get to it for several days and then picked it up 2 nights ago...Guys!!! I am Loving it! Here's a link to the book if you think you may be interested in reading it. I think it's the author's first book and it's Already going to be made into a movie! Same line as Driving Miss Daisy. Civil rights era. Thanks Delores! It is the first good book I've read in a Long time! And I can't Believe all the things you can do with Crisco!!!Hahahaa..... Can't wait to finish it.

Stirring The Pot...

Of Beans, I mean! Crystal CAN cook...I think...although it's been SO LONG since she's made anything for me and Dad!Hahaaa.....She came for a visit Saturday and took over the stirring of onions, bacon and bell pepper for me. We had pork ribs...Wonderful!

Well, it's Monday...The work week begins again. Guess I could gripe about it but seeing that so many people are Out of work, I think I'll just say...Thank You God.

Well, It's Gone....

Alright! No wiseguy comments!Lol...I got it ALL cut off! About a month ago. We will Not go into a lot of details about the initial beauty parlor trip but, suffice it to say, I was Less than thrilled. But, it grows fast so...I've had TWO appointments since then getting the First cut job repaired. I've finally found a lady that knows what she's doing. All the hair that was cut the First time, at least, was donated to Locks of Love, an organization that fixes hair then gives it to children with cancer. I feel good about that! And, the short style has grown on me. It's SO much cooler and easier to fix. Guess I need to get me some big bangle hoop earrings...maybe some bells...pluck the old eyebrows...a little makeup wouldn't hurt...geez...Hahaaa... Crystal freaked out and Hubby just stared at me...with a lopsided grin. I give up. I'm keeping it short. Hope you all have a Great weekend!!

Just Being Lazy...

Hello All...I have just been plumb Lazy!! I think I have a good case of the "Don't 'Wannas"!!!Lolol....Don't wanna cook, clean, watch the NEWS...do laundry, clean the yard, go to work, talk on the phone, drive...Nothing!! I've been a BAD Blogger Buddy for about a week now. (Hanging head in shame). We're suppose to have a Solar Eclipse on Sunday, the 11th. The Sun, the Earth and the Moon line up making the gravitational pull on the Earth...hair lifting. This Has to be my problem!Hahaa...I just pray there are No earthquakes targeting the Gulf! Hubby says I listen to Coast to Coast too much (night time radio show). That's probably why I have the "Don't 'Wannas"...'Ya Think??Lololol...
Every night, we've started having a small glass of red wine after supper (WHAT! Medicinal!!!Hahaa). I thought it was suppose to help you relax a bit. Seems to be working in the reverse for me! I think I'll just give up and give in...Chocolate. I think that's what I need...Hope you all are having a more peaceful time of it. Hey! It's already Wednesday! This is Good news!

Hot and Wet Equals Sticky!

It's been raining off and on for several days now and with the heat, it's also steamy. That's alright though...Better this than Snow!Hahaa...Hurricane Alex has stirred all this up but this is fine as well because we really needed the rain. Thank goodness Alex turned and decided to take a vacation in Mexico....;o) Not so good for the oil blowout (notice I say blowout instead of spill? That's because this is what it Actually is...). The only good thing about it is that Maybe the high winds churned up the sludge on the ocean floor enough to bring a lot of it to the top where the ship or ships can harvest it. We need help BIGTIME and are NOT being listened to. Deals...Guess I'd best just shut up.
Hope you all have a great evening...I'm picking William (Grandson) up from daycare today so it's going to bring some "happy" and laughter to our house tonight. We need it.
