The High Life...

Hi everyone...Yes, You noticed I haven't posted since Saturday...unless I'm out of town, I don't usually wait so long.  I've been trying to learn the Kim Klassen Mouseover trick on my sidebar but It Does Not Work for me!  Four wasted days.  I'm pooped!  I Give Up!  Nothing I did would work.  Oh well...just can't figure it out and this New Blogger template would RE-copy the html in places it should not have.  I'm Done! (Until the next time).
Hubby and I were up on Aspen Skylift and this was a lookout point...See how high we were?  11600ft.  Nice view.  When I got through shooting photos, I looked down and saw the teddy bear that had been lodged into some rocks...I felt so Sad.  Whose child did it belong to?  Don't know but I said a prayer.  I could almost feel it's presence...the longer you stood there, the sadder you felt.  We left.
Hope you all are having a good week...Headed over to check on what You have to say!

The Trip...

We were SO flippin' tired at this point all we wanted to do was crawl under that coach and sleep....
Hubby, his Mom and Dad...I told Hubby to smile and all I got was a grunt...
This bird was our CONSTANT companion!  Noisy!

Well, we are finally home from our eight day trip to Ruidoso, New Mexico.  Beautiful country but an area that caters mainly to people who love to fly by the seat of their pants off mountains with only a pair of skis and two sticks...oh joy.  There's the museums...The Space Museum which was interesting, Ft. Stanton, which was Also interesting...The Apache Indian Reservation, which REALLY upset me.  With all the casinos around the area (3 or 4) I guess corruption has no nationality.  Lots of poverty on the Res....

But, the main point of the trip was to check out the Condo accommodations of Hubby's Mom and Dad and to spend some time together.  They have a time share and you can spend up to three weeks anywhere in the world.  This is our third time to NM in less than three years so really nothing new for us to see.  We ate too much, read a Lot, ran up and down roads...shopped a little.  I found a T-Shirt.  Oh yes, I did!  How much you say?  Try 27 bucks...no thanks...so we went to a casino instead where I lost 40 bucks the first day and quit...Good Girl!  Hubby's Mom Won 117.00.  Second day, and last, I Won 135.00 (and quit), Hubby Won 150.00 (and quit) and his Mom Lost all of hers.  Hubby's Dad claims he lost One Dollar...He's a suspicious character anyway so who's counting?!

There were deer galore that would come straight up to you if you Really wanted them to.  That's a bad sign.  Simply means, people have been (say it WITH me) Feeding them!  Morons...Good way to get killed.  We ALSO had, Bears.  Oh yeah...Our bedroom was on the street side...so were the trash cans...starting at about 11pm they'd come a raiding.  Trash Everywhere the next morning!  One night they even came up to our second story DOOR!!  Geeeezzzz...Oh well, all ended well and we woke up at 3am Friday, threw our luggage into the truck, Hubby's folks climbed in the back and off we went.  Nine hours later, we were Home...Nice.  Excedrin...a coffee...and bed.

So, that's pretty well my story about our adventure...and yes, I'm sticking to it.  Hope you all were Good boys and girls while I was gone 'cause I didn't bring you a darn thing....Hahahaa....WHAT??  You should have SEEN the prices!!!  Oh, and I took more pictures but I don't want you overloading...

A Quick Check In...

Just a quick check in... The weathers beautiful and I must say, we are certainly getting enough rest time. Larry's folks are 86 & 84 so we don't get around too much. Hope you all are well... Sorry that I can't check in much to see what's going on in your worlds. I'll make up for it when I get home... Have a super day!

Smiling Wednesday...

Just checking in on this hot Summer day...105 today. Hopefully, from now on, it's suppose to be cooler...mid to high 90's. That's a relief! Still no rain though. Maybe someday.
Sam got her braces removed this morning but I didn't get a chance to get a photo of her new smile. I pick her up from school though at 2, so I'll get one then...She's SO pleased. Hope you all are having a good Wednesday...I smell coffee...I'm going in for a cup!

Braces Freedom Day!

September 14th, Wednesday is the day Samantha has looked forward to for the last two years! Off they come. We've always told her she was beautiful WITH them and to QUIT worrying about it. I think we've talked ourselves into a corner....if she's Beautiful WITH them...what is she WITHOUT them...Hahaaaaa...needless to say, no more sore mouth, special brushes, cut lips or wax....she's thrilled!
I never had to have them so I really don't know what braces "complaints" are all about but I am SO glad I didn't! She was in pain at times....but she was also determined. I'll try to get an "after shot" soon.
Hope you all are having a better day...I think I am. Night all....

Remembering...Without a Doubt!

These are just a few of the reasons  why I will Never Forget....and will fight to my last breath to defend.  They deserve to grow up and live in a free America....God Bless America.
Blessings and Love to all who lost their lives on that horrific Day....9/11/01.

What a Week...

These are some photos of the fire that wiped out the town of Bastrop, Texas. There were lots more but you get the idea. 1400 homes, people we know and lots that we don't. Horrible. The town is about 70 miles south of us. We also have fires just north of us...30, 40 miles...you can smell the smoke in the air. The ones north of us, they think teens set them. I pray God deals with them....Please keep Texas in your prayers. I also see Pennsylvania is suffering with the flooding...On and On. Hope you are safe and sound where ever you are!
I Also ask for prayers to be sent to Miz Brenda of Whats Up Down South. James, her husband, suddenly passed away Wednesday. He was only 59. If you want her address, please email me.
So much prayer needed lately....It's also 9/11 weekend...10 years.
Try to enjoy your weekend. Just be watchful. Sorry for such a downer post...I've had such an Awful time getting Blogger to post anything!! Anybody else having the same problem? You hit Publish and it just sits there...uggggg

Still No Rain...

I'm playing around with the NEW layout in Blogger....Don't think I like it.  If the print is small, I apologise.  Not MY doing.  Just checking in to experiment.  Guess I'll try to figure out how to get my OTHER layout back.  Have a great evening Guys!
Let me see now....hit publish.....right.....

Here's a smile while I try to figure this stuff out...

Ole and Sven are quietly sitting in a boat fishing chewing and drinking beer when suddenly Sven says, "I tink I'm gonna divorce my wife. She ain't spoke to me in over 2 months." Ole spits, sips his beer and says, "Better tink dat over...........wimen like dat are hard to find.".
