Merry Christmas...Before and After

Good morning!  It's been getting pretty busy around here in the kitchen.  Cookies, candy...cake.  And I'm not through.  We enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving with the kids, all but three.  Will and Tylar are in the Air Force...and doing duty, Ty in Hungary with his wife, Sara...William is stationed in Arizona, off on duty somewhere in the world that he can't tell us about...We miss them all something awful...Praying they all are safe and well.

Made the traditional turkey feast.  We all had a sweet time.  But then...they all leave. 😒  I believe, if you've been following me long, that I don't do "empty nesting" well.  I'm so use to the noise...fun...all of it.  But, they grow up, get married or whatever, and fly the coop.  Oh yes, I know...It's normal.  I did the same thing growing up, to my parents.  But...I can still miss it.  I love being a mom, gamma.  I turned 70 this last summer.  Life really is rolling by fast.  Now my granddaughter and hubby are trying to become parents themselves.  No luck yet.  Do I feel old?  Nope...not in the least.  But I scare the crap out of myself every time I pass a mirror!  Who in the heck is that old biddy??Hahaa...Oh well, such is life.

Well, I hope you all enjoy your Christmas celebrations, no matter what they are.  Here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  Be safe out there!

Update...👀

Christmas made its appearance and then, just as quickly, disappeared!  I got so busy that I totally forgot to finish this post!!  SO, I'll close here...leaving you with photos... (of Course I am)!

A Sweet Thanksgiving...

Good Morning Guys...Decided I needed to pop in and leave an update.  Again, it's been a while.  I hope all of my American friends enjoyed a safe and peaceful Thanksgiving!  We did...and of course, I made too much and ate too much.  Starting a halfhearted diet on Monday.  Our two Air Force grandbabies couldn't come though...Busy doing Air Force stuff...Christmas is coming and I don't want to pack on any more weight!  I had been SO good and lost that pesky 20 lbs in about 5 months...wasn't really hard at it..walking mostly...but I felt so much better.  Then I was bad!!  Chips and apple fritters are NOT calorie free!! 😞

I've made turkey tetrazzini...it's in the oven.  But I scaled it down to just two servings for Larry and one for me.  I think I need to freeze the rest of the smoked turkey...don't want to waste any of it.

Well, I hope you all are well?  No covid??  I pray not...Larry and I are staying well...no illnesses so far.  We did get the vaccines and will probably get the booster.  Yes, we're Republicans and feel very strongly about our right to choose... but I had Covid in 2019 and it almost got the best of me.  Pneumonia set in...soooo... We are too old to be playing with our health.  I'm 70 and Larry is 74 and our immune systems suck...

Well, hope you all are enjoying your day...will be coming to check on you!

Until next time....💖

I Never Found...Normal!

Good Morning...or should I introduce myself, again?!!  Good grief...It's been a while: a long while.  I suppose my only excuse is, life happened.  It tends to do that.  We've been plugging along here...things have changed and yet they seem to be the same.  Long story yet, one I really am not wanting to go into.  So, what am I up to these days?  We sold our motorhome...it sat more than it rolled on down the highway...I got into cakes and cupcake, cookie baking...Board building...cutting board building, that is.  Larry and I have found something to do while we trudge through our retirements.  We sell them.  It's such a peaceful thing to do...We both come up with designs...he cuts and I do the finish work.  Nothing like zoning out while sanding something! ;o)

Hope you all are happy and well?!!  Let me know what you've been up to!  I promise to not be away so long next time... I've been bad.  Enjoy your day or night and I'll be around to check up on you!  Later...

This is the couple we sold our motorhome to...really sweet people.

Our granddaughter Samantha...all grown up, married and working as a stylist, doing extremely well at it.

Grandson William...still in the Air Force...Tucson, Arizona...doing great.
