Freedom!

Well...We're FREE at last!! Hubby called the federal jury line Friday night and they said...we don't need you!! Three months of this is finally over...I'm getting on the Internet and plotting our get-out-of-town trip!! You don't realise how long three months really is until you start counting those Friday nights!
Samantha is good to go...feeling much better today with No fever for over twenty four hours. Thank goodness. William is fine as well, so Gamma is batting a thousand!LOL...Today, anyway. Crystal is still smiling, so that's a good thing.
Weather has been it's normal self...windy, muggy wettish. I suppose I'll first try to get online and check out the weather forecast for the month ahead. Sure don't want to schedule a trip in the rain!
So, here's hoping you have a wonderful and beautiful Spring day, and I'll talk at 'cha tomorrow.

She's Home......

Well, Crystal made it home! Got in around 3:45pm this afternoon. Stayed the night, but she said they hardly stopped to take a deep breath. There were visits to fancy restaurants with valet parking, to tacos at a local hangout. She met over 30 of his friends and said they were, each and every one, the nicest of people. She felt So welcomed into the "group". Teachers, police, traders...all types. Needless to say, she had a blast....thank heavens. You'll have to go to her blog for more details (give her a bit to get settled in. She might not do it tonight...but then again, we ARE talking about Crys...lolol). The GranBabies have been all over her since she got in so there hasn't been much time for a full "briefing"...WHAT??!!!....LOL
I must say, I was glad to see her. Between the fevers and "runs" to the bathroom, I think I'm going to call it a night. She's home and she's....happy. Thank God.

Houston Update

Well, it's 5:00pm......just sitting here....LOL....Been playing with the Granbabies, running back and forth to town, getting odds and ends for the weekend. A couple of toys...WHAT???LOL...yes, I'm a BAD Gamma.

The phone just rang...Crystal calling to ask "What's wrong with Samantha"?...I sit there wondering HOW she knew Sami was sick (fever with a cough starting)...A mother's intuition??? No, a mother's cell phone. Sam texted her just to say "Gamma said I was sick with a fever..." Well, you know what came next. "Do I need to come home"???..."NO"!!!...I DO believe I have a nursing license to Prove that I can do the job correctly"!!!LOL....That seemed to work. BUT, while I had her on the phone...LOL..."Are you coming home tonight or tomorrow"??...."Well, I guess I'll stay here then head home tomorrow"...(she had said before she left, that if they hit it off, she'd just stay there, if Not, and he was a jerk, she'd be home tonight) I just simply told her that really was preferable to her driving 2 1/2 to 3 hours at night, by herself. We really do Not like the fact that she drove alone, but what's a parent to do...let go and let God. So, we have. He told her he had a spare bedroom and he WAS a gentlemen. She said they were having a blast. They were somewhere in Houston...restaurant...I didn't get the name. When I told Hubby that she was staying in Houston for the night, we just looked at each other...."So, he's not a jerk...good for her..."he said....I'm feeling So many things right now...Loss??? Oh My....but damn, she sounded SO happy! Trust me when I say, It has literally been five years since I've "heard" the sounds of "happy" coming from her. SO, we'll see.

Guess that's all for right now. Gotta go check on the sick one. Y'all have a wonderful night or day, and....be happy.

Daughter Has A Date...

Yes....Yes....Crystal has a date tomorrow! With a real, live, man. At least Hubby and I have been led to believe this. They are going to partake in "the dinner". The First dinner date. As some of you already know, she's been single for almost five years. She's Has tried to find someone to share things with, but the "man market"...stinks...at least around here. This new gentleman, 38yrs old (she's 34) dark headed, Scorpio, is a Trader (oil & gas) from Houston. I can't imagine what it must feel like to have to Start Over with someone new. As a woman, who's been married to the same man for almost 36yrs, I do believe I'd run screaming at the prospect of a "first date". I love my husband with all of my heart...but if Ever I found myself alone....I don't want another one...WHAT??!!!LOL.........So, until tomorrow, I'll let you get back to having lots of fun and.....HOLD ON.......WHAT???.............GEEZZZZ.........Crystal said she Just got an IM (instant message) from...Him....He said, "Cool, tomorrow works out better than this afternoon. That way, I can get my hair done, nails buffed and get my body waxed"!.....................LOLOL......He's Also a commedian...........?

Wonder Woman and the Loo...

Goodness! Got home yesterday and I became a virtual, Powerhouse! When I drove up to the house, I drove slowly...observing the landscape. Yuck!! The yard needed attention. Got inside, opened all the windows to let that cool breeze blow through all the rooms. We have an attic fan but the wind was blowing hard enough that I didn't need to turn it on. Then I had a look around...Yuck!!! I'd need to get busy in here to. So, first things first, outside I went, lawn mower key in hand, and started. The Dixon powered right up and off I went...got it all mowed in less than 45 minutes, front and back...love that Dixon! Then it was time for the inside...geez...nooks and cranny type of cleaning. Got all that done as well and was actually rewarded for my work as well! The kids didn't find all the Easter candy that was hidden!!...WHAT?!! Yes, I ate ONE of the three I found!!LOL...gave the other two to Sami. William doesn't...(gulp)..like chocolate...Can you believe that??
In my efforts to get the bathrooms cleaned...when I opened the door to the bathroom the kids use, my eyes immediately fell to the floor. Laying BESIDE the toilet And the TRASHCAN was what you see in the picture. I dearly love my little family...I Do!! BUT, are their little fingers broken? They have cast on both of their hands and I just missed seeing them?? You know, after a while, you want to make a statement. I did. I picked the offending items up, wrote my message, placed them in a strategic position on the carpet, backed out and closed the door. Would you believe? After everyone came home, Sami comes to ask me if I left said items on the floor... I reply in the affirmative...then she says..."How funny Gamma"!...and walks back to her room.....
I say nothing. About ten minutes later, Crystal comes in asking for my camera. When she's finished with it, she hands it to me and says, "Now you have something else to post about"!...laughing. I download the picture and the above is what I saw. Geez....Oh well, I didn't ask who eventually picked the items up, I "heard" who picked them up...the offender was Sami.
I believe I heard her say something like, "But Gamma did it"....but I can't prove it...LOL...never a dull moment.
Here's hoping your day is a peaceful and happy one.

Bubbles and D.B. Cooper

Glitter Graphics - GlitterLive.com

Doesn't this look like fun? It's going to be 83degrees (28.3C) here today! I'll be opening the windows for a while at the house. Won't be able to leave them open for long though...too hot to try to sleep. That means running the A/C for a bit to cool it back down.
SO...I hear they may have found D.B. Cooper's parachute in a farmers field! My goodness, he got away with about $200,000.00 in 1971 by jumping from a plane. Two kids found some strings on the ground and started pulling...Needless to say old D.B. must have lived, if the parachute was buried. Can they Still get finger prints from the parachute after all this time?? It was a Big deal in those days. "Anti Establishment" feelings were still very prominent. Lots of people were "rooting" for him to get away. Looks like he did.

Well I suppose I'd best get to work. Here's hoping your day bounces along happily and lots of warm winds and sunshine come your way.

Warm Winds

This post is dedicated to all my fellow bloggers that are sitting in a cold room, perhaps with the fireplace going or the heater running full blast. Spring is arriving here in central Texas and I just want to share some of it with you; and to try and remind you that it soon will be with you as well. Wishing you wellness and peace on this Monday night.....

Just stare for awhile, at the picture above. Lean your head back and close your eyes. Pretend you're actually there. You're sitting on the beach in your favorite, reclining lawn chair. Cool tropical breezes are washing over your entire body. You can hear the sound of the roaring ocean throwing it's waves of water upon the shore...Your body is relaxed and your arms are hanging over the sides of the chair, digging into the warm sand. You hear seagulls circling overhead but you don't open your eyes...you just listen to the sounds of the water...see the water, in your mind's eye, as a beautiful blue.....Sparkling, shimmering in the warm sunlight. Feel yourself at total peace. There is no pain...only total relaxation....rest........<3

Eggs and Emma

Well, we had a really nice, quiet Easter Day. The only time we left the house was when we took some tulips to Hubby's Mom and Dad. We didn't stay long though. They had just gotten home from being gone all day, and were tired. They are in their eighties, so naps are often on the agenda.
The GranBabies had their Easter egg hunt though. Crystal and I hid them all over the house then they rounded them up with a repeat of same outside...As you can see, Samantha really got into it by running to what ever she found!LOL...William kept saying, "I need help"! They both had bunches and soon tired, so inside we all went.
Lunch was Hubby...(I think he gets nervous when I linger in the kitchen too long..)LOL...cooking the roast. It was very good. Then we watched the movie, "The Seeker"...Cute...I wasn't really impressed though. Now, the day seems to be coming to a close. BUT...Emma with Kate Beckensdale, is coming on PBS at 8:00pm and I've Got to watch it. I Love Emma...
Here's hoping your day was a Happy and Blessed one and I'll talk at 'cha tomorrow.

Happy Easter From Our House to Yours

Just came in from the outside garden...Gads...weeds everywhere! Fire ant beds everywhere. I'll just have to deal with those after the holiday. It'll be in the 60's with a chance of rain tomorrow, so it would do no good to get anything on those ant beds today. I want to plant tomatoes but until the ants are dealt with, I can't. Several stuck to my hands and stung me. Nothing like dancing the jig and flapping your arms around..LOL....the neighbor understood though...just waved, shook his head and smiled. We live in Texas. It just goes with the territory.

Earlier, I did go to town to buy some new shoes...I am NOT a shoe shopper. The tennis shoes I now own are almost seven years old. That's just how I am...wear things till they fall apart. Hubby tried to hide my housecoat last night as well. He stated that I WOULD be going to town today for a new one of those, as well...Humphhhhhh....LOL....Well, I did look!!! I Did!! But...all that's in right now are the Spring ones!! Too cool yet to wear on a regular basis right now. At least that's what I told him...LOL...I just got "the look"......

Well, here's wishing you all much happiness, love and joy. Gather up all your babies and have fun finding those eggs!! All of you Big Babies...don't forget to hunt yourselves some eggs...Ever tried to beg for just "one"??LOL...they look at you like you've lost your mind!!!!

A Blooming Good Friday

Good Friday Morning to you all! Hope you had a peaceful and safe night. It ended up being a pleasant day here with temps ending up in the mid 70's. I got my "wandering" shoes on and went on a "Spring" hunt with my camera and I was flabbergasted at finding that a Mountain Laurel,(top picture) that we had planted in the front yard bed (about six yrs ago), had finally started to bloom!! My Word I was excited!...but looking around me, I had no one to express my glee to...Ever done that??LOL...makes you feel stupid! Well, you can bet that when Hubby got home, I made sure I shared my "astonishment" with him!LOL...
I also found that my Wedding Wreaths(middle picture) were almost fully in bloom. There's two of those and they "drape". Then I ventured to the back yard and found an old Wisteria(bottom picture) had started to bloom as well. An old farm house was in the center of our neighborhood years ago, and the Lady of the House, must have planted it. It still blooms.

Well, we took the day off today. Several of the employees were wanting off anyway and since it was a tad slow, we just closed the shop. Guess I'll run out to Sam's Club and see what's happening and check out what I'll be COOKING....geez..LOL...for Sunday's lunch. You all have a bright and wonderful day and I'll talk to you later.

Paula 'Dun Lied 'Ta Me!!!

Oh Yes She Did!! Ms. Paula Deen...lied to me when she said this recipe only took EIGHT minutes to prepare!!! PREP TIME: 8 minutes......COOK TIME: 25 minutes....Prep time 8 minutes, my rear!!! Try, ONE flipping HOUR...I guess she meant, that my STAFF could do all the chopping, sauteing, pot locating, picture taking, condiment grinding, can opening, box opening, Excedrin taking prep work before I even appeared!! Not To Mention...That dadgum elbow macaroni blew up in the pot and Almost ran over onto the stove!! And YES, I used the whole box!! LOL....Geez!!! I can Just FEEL Hubby laughing about now!!! I've got enough Wayne's (who Ever the He** he is), Beef Macaroni and Cheese, to feed Everyone at work plus dinner here at home!!! Oh Well, guess I'll go turn on the oven and let it "turn to a delightful crispy brown"......LOL...'Ya know, that Trash duty that I wrote about in Sunday's post, is looking better and better by the minute!! I'm Not making this again.
PS- It turned out dry. Hubby didn't laugh...he tried to make suggestions to fix it. He Did say it was pretty good though. But after everything it took to make it, it just wasn't worth it. SO...guess I'll go make a cuppa coffee, find a comfy chair and "plant" it. Y'all have a happy day!!

Wordless Wednesday (Right...)

It's wordless Wednesday today. It's not easy finding pictures that I really like and this time of the year, I have No imagination with my camera! I really need to get out more and scout around for images. Everytime I think I'll get a chance to, something always pops up to change my mind for me...I know, I know...wordless...Sshhhhhhhh.....Later......

Tuesday, At The Speed of Light

Goodness, it's Tuesday...again! I can't believe how fast it zipped around! Well, hopefully Sami is feeling better today. Crystal will try the old Milk Test on her later on...if she can hold that down, she's "good-to go".

A Sign You're Driving Too Fast........This one is destined to become a classic, If this doesn't make you laugh or at least smile , you need to think seriously about getting professional assistance.
I GOT STOPPED FOR SPEEDING THE OTHER DAY. I THOUGHT I COULD TALK MY WAY OUT OF IT UNTIL THE COP LOOKED AT MY DOG IN THE BACK SEAT.
I know we've All rode with someone, at some time, who thinks they're Mario Andrette!LOL...I know I have. This is Surely, a warning sign!!lolol...Y'all have Lots of fun and happiness today!!

I Think The Worst is Over...

Well, when we got home, Sami was still asleep. Crystal was making dinner. William had asked me if Sam was alright...(he's a worrier) several times on the trip home. Of course, you have to answer several times. That's alright though. I'm glad they are so close. Crys and Sami just wanted you to know she's feeling a little better, especially when I pull out the camera and say cheese!LOL...Even William had to have his picture taken!
Hopefully, the vomiting has now fled the scene and only a fever remains. She's had 7Up and Coke, crackers and not much else. She Loves strawberry milk (Nestles Quick) but I put the brakes on that. NO MILK...It's actually a solid and that's a no-no with an upset stomach. Fruit juices also are an irritant, so those are out. If it's fizzy then go for it...Anything that helps you burp! Relieves gas build up...LOL...You Needed to know all this, didn't you!!!
After dinner, I took another stroll in the yard, looking for more signs of Spring. Snapdragons! Blooming like crazy. Made for a peaceful ending to a worrisome day...
Interesting Info: Julius Caesar's bloody assassination on March 15, 44 B.C., forever marked March 15, or the Ides of March, as a day of infamy. It has fascinated scholars and writers ever since.
Just thought you wanted to know that....LOL....

St. Patricks Day and the Flu...

glitter-graphics.com

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! Samantha (GrandBaby) is at home, sick...flu, we think. Mommy's with her... I took William to day care and will be picking him up after work.
Hopefully, it won't "get" the rest of us...Have a wonderfully "green" day!!

Sunday and I've Been Doing...What??!!

Cooking???...Gads, let me sit down! (straddles chair while fanning face with cuptowel)!LOL...YES...I've been in the kitchen turning out three hots today! Well, two hots and one cold. I made breakfast...eggs, bacon, with wheat toast and coffee. French toast for the kiddies with heated grape jelly..(Yuck), but that's what Sami likes...Will likes just plain syrup. Turkey sandwiches for lunch and now I'm doing bar-b-qued chicken, potatoes with sauteed onions and extra fine green beans with butter and almonds for dinner. And there's always strawberries (the size of your baby's fist) with whipped cream. WHY am I cooking...in the kitchen....me...when Hubby Almost always cooks on the weekends?? Well...I came into the kitchen to get my coffee at 6:45am...Hubby's in his chair, reading. I say, "Would you like me to cook a wonderful breakfast for you (innocence...all over my face)"??
He starts to laugh.....it started out softly...then became enhanced, a little louder. Oh Hell no, he didn't..."Dear?...I have cooked before...I even know how to turn on the stove" I said..., "In fact, I shall be cooking all the meals today And all of next week (dratted Spring Break...kids will be at daycare so I will also be doing the dinner time meals because Crystal will pick them up at 4:45pm) "So, that means You can carry out the trash"..."That's fine by me (smirking the whole time)" Hubby retorts (love that word..LOL)
The Day has clicked along beautifully...it's slowly coming back to me. Turn knob, flame comes on...piece of blooming cake!! LOL....UNTIL!!!

"Honey? Where do you keep the charcoal?"....Time stopped for Hubby...a vision appeared in his mind...Wife wants to use My Grill!! My Brand New Grill!!!!....I've never seen him move that fast! My beloved Hubby, throwing himself out the back patio door...why is he running?? "But Honey!! I'll do it" I said. "Oh No Dear! I Really don't mind helping..."step away from the chicken now Dear!"he says....Is that a tear I see rolling down his cheek?? Nah, couldn't be! I Know he loves it when I grill! I Only burned a hole in one other pit...years ago.
Oh well, when you look at the pictures, please note, that I really wanted to grill the chicken...honest! LOL......
So here's hoping your evening has gone as well as ours has and that Monday brings you all, happiness and sunshine....

So Ready for The Bookstore

Well this is a good thing! Got off early today (wonderful) and stopped off at the grocery store. I was able, once again to find a parking spot close to the door (with a little help from my Angel) on this extremely busy Friday afternoon. I go inside, do the shopping thing, check out and head to my jeep. Cars are continually making the rounds, vying for a good spot to park....I'm not fast enough unloading my groceries...a woman waiting for me to pull out of said choice spot, told me so. Loudly...Four cars behind her...waiting for her to move along. She had a handicapped placard hanging from her rear view mirror...after she was forced to move along, screamed at me and rounded the corner, she pulled into a Handicapped parking space...got out of the car and...ran...yes, I said Ran to the doors of the store, all the while, looking back at me. The woman with the handicapped placard hanging from her rear view mirror....Boggles my mind. How do they get away with obtaining those placards??? Oh well...
I'll be going to the bookstore in the morning to meet Ellani for coffee and a good chat. I'm So ready. Hope your evening or morning is wonderful and happy.

Is it Friday Yet?

Well is it Friday yet? Did you see how fast it came back around? Not a whole lot happened that's of much interest. Ken (office manager) went back to San Antonio with his wife to say her oath of US citizenship. They've gone down there at least 4 or 5 times now for various things pertaining to getting citizenship. She's from Mexico and has been here a long time. They left here very early this morning (takes about 3 1/2hrs to get there from here). He sent a text message saying that the ceremony wouldn't start until 2:00pm and already, they were weary. I imagine there were tons of people taking the oath.

Went out to the front yard when we got home from work and got a picture of the Wedding Wreath bush that's really loaded with blossoms! In a few more weeks, it will be absolutely full of flowers. I love Anything that blooms.

We also went to Williams open house and book fair at school. The classroom was typical 2nd grade design (stuff hanging from every conceivable space) LOL...a bunny rabbit..a tarantula and a turtle and lastly...Mrs. Almond, his teacher. She seems to be really nice, and Will likes her so that's what counts.

Well guess I'll go wart someone...one of the kiddos...easy targets.LOL.. Y'all have a happy and peaceful night...or day, and I'll talk to you tomorrow.

How To Annoy People at the Office, Wednesday

Some great ways to annoy people at work...

1. At lunchtime, sit in your parked car and point a hair dryer at passing cars to see if they slow down.

2. Page yourself over the intercom. (Don't disguise your voice.)

3. Insist that your e-mail address be xena-goddess-of-fire@companyname.com or mailto-elvis-the-king@company%20namecom.

4. Every time someone asks you to do something, ask if they want fries with that.

5. Encourage your colleagues to join you in a little synchronized chair dancing.

6. Put your garbage can on your desk and label it 'IN.'

7. Develop an unnatural fear of staplers.

8. Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 weeks. Once everyone has gotten over his or her caffeine addictions, switch to espresso.

9. In the memo field of all your checks, write "for sexual favours"

10. Reply to everything someone says with, "That's what you think."

11. Finish all your sentences with "In accordance with the prophecy."

12. Adjust the tint on your monitor so that the brightness level lights up the entire working area. Insist to others that you like it that way.

13. Don't use any punctuation

14. As often as possible, skip rather than walk.

15. Ask people what sex they are.

16. Specify that your drive through order is "to go."

17. Find out where your boss shops and buy exactly the same outfits. Wear them one day after your boss does. (This is especially effective if your boss is the opposite gender.)

18. Send e-mail to the rest of the company to tell them what you're doing. For example: "If anyone needs me, I'll be in the bathroom."

19. Put mosquito netting around your cubicle.

20. Five days in advance tell your co-workers you can't attend the social event because you're not in the mood.

21. Pretend your phone is a CB when talking with clients.

This was suppose to be "Wordless Wednesday"....but you know me...LOL...Have a Happy night!

Sunshiny Day

Oh My Goodness! I Almost talked myself into a...FUNK!! LOL...Oh Yeah...Oh My...There is Nothing I can do to change Anyone else. In my universe, there's only me. This is the only place where I have Total control. And I choose...Happy.

It has turned out to be a really nice day. It rained a bit here last night; a big fog rolled in and stay with us until about noon. Now the sun is finally out. Feels good!!

I'm still trying to decide on April or May for our little trip. I think May will be best, weather wise. Isn't there a way, on the Internet, to find out what the averages, in any one area, are? Guess I'll experiment tonight and see what I come up with. Hope all of you are staying warm or dry. The rains left here, headed east, so if you're in the line of fire, stay safe. Y'all have a wonderful and happy night!
PS-This was sent to me by my MIL...have a giggle.......

THREE WOMEN , TWO YOUNGER, AND ONE SENIOR CITIZEN, WERE SITTING NAKED IN A SAUNA. SUDDENLY THERE WAS A BEEPING SOUND. THE YOUNG WOMAN PRESSED HER FOREARM AND THE BEEP STOPPED.THE OTHERS LOOKED AT HER QUESTIONINGLY. 'THAT WAS MY PAGER,' SHE SAID. "I HAVE A MICROCHIP UNDER THE SKIN OF MY ARM".
A FEW MINUTES LATER, A PHONE RANG. THE SECOND YOUNG WOMAN LIFTED HER PALM TO HER EAR. WHEN SHE FINISHED, SHE EXPLAINED, 'THAT WAS MY CELL PHONE. I HAVE A MICROCHIP IN MY HAND".
THE OLDER WOMAN FELT VERY LOW-TECH.. NOT TO BE OUT DONE, SHE DECIDED SHE HAD TO DO SOMETHING JUST AS IMPRESSIVE. SHE STEPPED OUT OF THE SAUNA AND WENT TO THE BATHROOM.SHE RETURNED WITH A PIECE OF TOILET PAPER HANGING FROM HER REAR END.
THE OTHERS RAISED THEIR EYEBROWS AND STARED AT HER. THE OLDER WOMAN FINALLY SAID.........WELL, WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT?... I'M GETTING A FAX!!

What Do You Do When You Can't Do Anything?

What a title huh? Geez. You know, I've really been in a quandary today about what to post about . I've been really preoccupied, over the last several days, with our daughter Crystal's BF, Tasha. We've known her since she was about 12 or 13yrs old. A little girl, with So much potential. We love her. We've made her a member of this family. She calls us Mom and Dad...and she has the ability to absolutely, break our hearts. It's Not intentional. Some would just laugh and call it a Blonde thing. Not me. I Know better. I know Lots of Blondes that are powerful, strong and loaded with self-esteem. They Know when to get off the tracks when they see a train headed straight for them.
All of you, that have followed my blog since I began, Know me fairly well. You know that I do Not like to blog about the Drama in life. The pain or anguish of life, which can and does happen to all of us, in some way or other, every day. I Love life. I believe in magic and happiness. I can't stand it when I see someone in pain. I want to "fix" it. Forgiveness and joy are just the flip sides of destructiveness and anger. I've had my share of the dramas. I Totally believe drama in one's life, is self induced. It absolutely boggles my mind when I watch someone just sit down and let life just roll over them instead of standing up and making each moment count for something! There are several faithful readers of my blog that have had the very worst of life reach out and grab them and it's really hard to not be able to "fix" it for them...BUT....They are dealing with what life threw at them. They are Not just sitting back and letting life run over them. They're fighting for happiness and I salute and admire them. If you slap someone and they slap you back, have you not induced a drama? If you continually repeat the same mistake, over and over again, are you not inducing a drama? If you continually do things in your life, that are self destructive, are you not participating in Drama?? What do you have, when the drama in your life, is all you have to hold on to?
Tasha forgave...Again...someone who is a Big producer of drama. I can't fix it. She just does not understand the concept of...trainwreck. What else can I say to her that I haven't already said? Sometimes you just have to let the trainwreck happen...and it breaks our hearts.
I'm sorry if I actually wrote a "downer" post today...I Should have just gone to the bookstore and gotten lost in the aisles of books, drinking a Grande Chocolate Mocha coffee...lol.

Deepak Chopra and Waking Up Crystal

Woke up to sunshine this morning. Had a good breakfast made by Hubby of scrambled eggs, onions and cheese with a side of fried potatoes. Really good.

Made sure that we set those clocks forward one hour. Wouldn't want to be late for work now would we..LOL...I also got to scare Crystal good this morning. Sometimes when you're not paying attention to life , things tend to jump out at you. So, it follows that I became her wake-up call!LOL...Got her Good, to! She was coming up the hallway...and I was hiding just around the corner in the kitchen; she comes around the corner and BAM...I give her a Big growl and she says something rather unpleasant...and loudly.LOL...Fun...SO much laughter...That's a good thing. Now I'm back doing this post while watching Deepak Chopra on PBS. I love to listen to him. He's So peaceful. My kind of Church on this Sunday morning.
So, hope you all find Your purpose in this day and find much happiness...right around the corner.

3 Pigs, A Horse and a Cuppa Coffee & Set Your Clocks Ahead

Boy, what a Do Nothing day!! Crystal got in around 11:30pm or so last night, and we stayed up, for a while, talking about her night out. Little Stitch (William) tried valiantly to stay up for her return, but couldn't make it. He passed out at 9:30 with his butt in the air!LOL...poor sweetie. He wanted to call Mommy several times but I only let him make one call. Then I had to explain that Mother was trying to relax and enjoy her friends, just like she lets him enjoy his friends...He seemed to except that and settled in to the evening. We watched a movie about "growing up different" and "doing the right thing". It is called, 3 Pigs and a Baby. It was cute, but I was just a little uncomfortable when the wolf baby was going through adolescence. I don't want Will to think its alright to talk to your parents disrespectfully as a teenager...which, this Wolf-teen was doing to his Pig fathers...Makes Sense??? LOL...sorry. If you get it, watch it first and see what you think. Don't Ever just pop something in the DVD player for kids and walk off...geez. Can't trust Hollywood...nope!

I went out to my sister's this morning to check on her and Mary and to see Red (the rescued, abused horse). I was really Shocked by his appearance!! He looks Wonderful!! Ruth Ann didn't want me to take his picture yet because he was muddy, but I should have anyway!! She has Really worked a miracle on him! Three different Doctors told her to put him down...but thank God she's hard headed...he looks wonderful!! I Will get those pictures.

Anyway, just took a break to get a cuppa coffee. Wonderful little tool I found at Linen's & Things that makes it easy to make a quick cup of latte. Foams a nice frothy head on you coffee. Coffee and sanity...they just "go" together!lol

Well, guess I'll get my pictures loaded (if Blogger will let me!! It's been Very cranky today). Y'all have a warm and happy night and I'll talk to you tomorrow!
PS- If you're in the US, don't forget to set your clocks ahead one hour before going to bed!!

Snow and Sweet William

Tonight I get the pleasure of playing with my Grandson, William, without fifty gazillion interruptions. Crystal is going out tonight with her friend Tasha and Tasha's fiancee, Daniel. So, that means, Gampa and Gamma will be able to corrupt...I mean...play and enjoy him without Mama being around. We rarely get to be Really bad and let loose with the child...poor child...deprived child...LOL...And Crystal? Since you're leaving Straight from work to go out for the evening, I just wanted you to see what awaits Will when He gets home!!LOL....
I also wanted to show everyone that it Does snow in Texas! See that Huge Drift???LOL...I almost didn't make it to work this morning because of all the snow...LOL...Gads, I'm Glad it's Friday, and I hope you all have a terrific weekend!!

Where To Go and When

I'm sitting here trying to decide where Hubby and I can go for a little "get-a-way" trip. Four or five days should do it for a while. We haven't been anywhere in SO long, and now that we have Christi back, we can GO; hubby just has to stay here until he's through with the federal jury call-up stuff. I pray he doesn't get called the last Friday in March!! If he can make it until the last Friday in March, and doesn't have to appear...we're free! So, now I'm trying to figure out a place and time. I use Reserve America to make reservations for the RV campsite. It's a great way to do it. You don't have to call every time to set things up. I'm thinking Fredericksberg, TX. Great town for resting, shopping & eating. The Admiral Nimitz museum is also there and we haven't been through it in years. They've added a new wing, so that'll be fun.
So, Y'all have a great Thursday...try to stay warm, and have lots of happy thoughts!!
PS-I Can't Believe IT!!! That IDIOT Burglar, that broke into the back yard last weekend, ALSO broke into our 5th Wheel Trailer!!! My warehouseman yelled at me to come to the back lot, where the trailer is parked, and said the idiot not only broke into the yard, he also broke into our Trailer!! I can't believe the cops didn't check it when they were here!!! Oh Man...(leaning back in chair trying to get SANE again)!!!!! Can't tell that anything is missing. When a trailer's slides are pulled in, that stops you from being able to open a lot of the drawers...Thank Heavens!!! I'm going back out there to get pictures...later!
The pictures at the top are after Hubby cleaned up the mess. Wasn't much of a mess, but enough to make you feel "violated".......

Chocolate Cherry Cake & Mowing The Lawn?

Got to work early this morning, as usual, and so did the plumber who loves to loves to make desserts. Matt came into my office saying, "Come hither...", so meekly...WHAT?!!!...I can be meek!!LOL.....Anyway, I follow him into the break room and what do I see? Chocolate Cherry Cake...homemade. Goodness! Coffee was ready...Yes, I did let the plumbers have a go at it first, but I must admit, I was waiting around the corner, with the baited breath of anticipation!LOL...Yes, it was Baited...hook, line and sinker! Gads, it was delicious. Moist, chocolaty, a hint of tartness from the fresh plump cherries.......That guy can cook!!!
Oh Yes...Had to mow the back yard lawn this afternoon. That green, moss like grass was almost a foot tall in some places. Mowing the yard can start early here in central Texas. 74degrees today but looking for a low tonight in the 40's with the high tomorrow 48 and tomorrow night, 31, possible SNOW....geez...So, I thought I'd do a little mowing before the bad weather caught me.It should be back in the 70's by Sunday. We play this up and down through most of March then it starts to level out.
Guess I'll load some pictures and y'all try to have a happy rest of the day!
