Chocolate Cherry Cake & Mowing The Lawn?

Got to work early this morning, as usual, and so did the plumber who loves to loves to make desserts. Matt came into my office saying, "Come hither...", so meekly...WHAT?!!!...I can be meek!!LOL.....Anyway, I follow him into the break room and what do I see? Chocolate Cherry Cake...homemade. Goodness! Coffee was ready...Yes, I did let the plumbers have a go at it first, but I must admit, I was waiting around the corner, with the baited breath of anticipation!LOL...Yes, it was Baited...hook, line and sinker! Gads, it was delicious. Moist, chocolaty, a hint of tartness from the fresh plump cherries.......That guy can cook!!!
Oh Yes...Had to mow the back yard lawn this afternoon. That green, moss like grass was almost a foot tall in some places. Mowing the yard can start early here in central Texas. 74degrees today but looking for a low tonight in the 40's with the high tomorrow 48 and tomorrow night, 31, possible SNOW....geez...So, I thought I'd do a little mowing before the bad weather caught me.It should be back in the 70's by Sunday. We play this up and down through most of March then it starts to level out.
Guess I'll load some pictures and y'all try to have a happy rest of the day!

I can't believe I'm the first to comment! That's some lawnmower you've got. I have a petrol mower that starts by pulling a string. When it's cold I just can't start it, so I have to leave it in any patch of sunshine there is to warm it up, the I can start it. So far, I haven't tried this year yet. Chocolate cake sounds delicious. Any leftovers?

That cake looks soooo yummy!!

I love mowing my grass. I put on my MP3 and off I go! We have a fairly big yard, so it takes me an hour or two to mow. Hubby and I have a few other yards we cut too during the summer, and I love it!

You talk about temperature ups and downs; we are in March and having another heatwave; mid to high 30's. It is going to be 39 on Sunday (That's 102 in your terms) Whew! Last week was in the low to mid 20's. (70's for you) - and still no rain, so not much mowing happening here.

Great, first I'm being tempted by all kinds of cinnamon buns all over the net, and now you show up with cake. It's so cruel a thing to do to a dieter.

My goodness - you've been pinked!!
