So Ready for The Bookstore

Well this is a good thing! Got off early today (wonderful) and stopped off at the grocery store. I was able, once again to find a parking spot close to the door (with a little help from my Angel) on this extremely busy Friday afternoon. I go inside, do the shopping thing, check out and head to my jeep. Cars are continually making the rounds, vying for a good spot to park....I'm not fast enough unloading my groceries...a woman waiting for me to pull out of said choice spot, told me so. Loudly...Four cars behind her...waiting for her to move along. She had a handicapped placard hanging from her rear view mirror...after she was forced to move along, screamed at me and rounded the corner, she pulled into a Handicapped parking space...got out of the car and...ran...yes, I said Ran to the doors of the store, all the while, looking back at me. The woman with the handicapped placard hanging from her rear view mirror....Boggles my mind. How do they get away with obtaining those placards??? Oh well...
I'll be going to the bookstore in the morning to meet Ellani for coffee and a good chat. I'm So ready. Hope your evening or morning is wonderful and happy.

Some people are downright crude, and cruel. My theory on the handicap stickers - family members who have them sometimes have other family who use them thinking somehow they are entitled even when the disabled are left at home. It isn't right by any means. And, I'm with you - how in the world can some people actually get them in the first place? I know my dad had one, and was deserved. I would never EVER think I should use it when I did errands for him. I'm sorry that old grumpy person was mean to you. You sure didn't deserve it. I'm leaving now before I crash right into this computer. I is tired!!

Have a great time at the bookstore!

I hope your coffee and chat with your friend got the 'handicapped' person off your mind. I think her handicap may not have been physical.

My wife and I are both disabled. We each have a handicapped sticker. I am not allowed to use her sticker and she is not allowed to use mine. A doctor had to prescribe our stickers and the state issues them. The minimum fine for using one not belonging to you, here in Ohio is $260.00. The police check store parking lots and arrest people who have fake stickers.

We could not shop without them as neither one of us can walk that far.

Wow, that was some Friday afternoon. Enjoy your weekend, see you (your blog).

Gordon- She obviously was not handicapped in the physical sense. And the "girls" had a Very good time! We visited for almost 3 hrs! Then we shopped for Books!lol
The time just zipped by! You enjoy your weekend!!hugs

OML- Hi There! The woman, as was obvious, had to have "borrowed" someones car. This is where the problem is. There's Never security checking that I have ever seen. My Dad also had a placard but I would never have "borrowed" his car. It's a shame. These people take up space intended for the people who Really need it. It's a Real problem here. Wish there was an eletronic device of some sort at the spaces, to help stop this type of misuse! Wishing you a happy day and come back for a visit...hugs

Dick- Thanks Dick...Hope your's is a fun one also!! Now get out there and get some more beautiful shots!! LOL....hugs

I hope the coffee and chat were both good!

I sure could use one of those handicap stickers some days but I just keep dragging my old butt across a mile of parking lot. :-)

Did that broad think you were gonna whip her for her mouthing off? LOL

Donna said...

Brenda- Both were excellent! And I truly believe she Knew..that I knew..at that point, that she had done something Very wrong...and I guess, in Her world, people who act that way, usually wind up getting the snot beat out of 'em...what a shame! Hope You had a restful weekend?? hughugs

You know, I think if someone gave me grief for taking too long to unload in the parking lot, I'd not only take longer to unload, I'd probably sit in the car and chill out for a while just to cook their goose! But then, that would only be if they were still sitting there waiting. Otherwise, it wouldn't be any fun! I would probably wave at them, too.
Some people just have no joy in their life.
I can be a real stinker sometimes...

Jazzi- She was truly not a Happy Camper!! I was Really trying to hurry and unload..to accomodate her...but there were just too many people behind her wanting her to Move!!!...Goodness, she was mad...almost un-naturally. I use to be a stinker as well...just too many shootings to chance it any more. Now I just...sigh...and keep doing what I'm doing. And you had a happy weekend I hope???hughugs

When people do that it really leaves a bad taste. But just think how awful she must have been feeling in her head to shout at you like that. I think your idea to 'white light' her is a good one. Stay happy.

Donna said...

Dabrah- It's what was going through her "mind" that I really didn't care to see!! I know they say that "bullies" usually run when confronted...I just felt she had too many demons to deal with...anyone who does that has a demon or two tucked away Somewhere..lol..Hope your weekend was a happy one?!!hughugs
