Pack-Rat?

I think I've been busy...I'm not sure. Cleaning things out (Lordy, I save too many things!), Hubby replacing our privacy fence...of which our Buddy had to supervise. Know what I found while cleaning out a closet?? Two record albums of Crystal's! Like a Virgin (MaDonna) and Jon Bon Jovi's, Slippery When Wet...Hahahaaa. See what I'm facing? Stuff! All carefully packed away and being saved for...what? Crystal isn't a pack-rat. I asked her if she wanted them and the answer was, "Just hang on to them..." I remember telling my own Mother to just hang on to things for me as well so I guess it's karma.
Well, it's a Monday again. I'm faithfully back at my desk at work and yes, I've done all my entries...I even swept and emptied trash!Hahaa....SO, guess I'll sign off and go find something else to do...Have a wonderful day!

Hi Donna; I have finally got back to blogging - no excuses for the long absence really, only maybe that I have been trying to get things sorted here too. Like you we still have things the kids want us to hang on to ... but I am getting ruthless; drop a box off most times we visit!

That reminds me of last summer when we were trying to clean out our basement. My son has a whole bunch of crap down there and when I called him to see what he wanted to keep and get rid of his reply was "I want everything...there's nothing I don't want" So needless to say it's all still down there! Hopefully not too much longer! Have a good week!

Lol, well I just see my payback for that as Sam wanting me to hold on to all HER stuff! And she IS a pack rat!!!!

I did the same thing to my parents, but I didn't have children so that didn't happen to me ! LOL

Buddy is so cute and I saw that beautiful rose. Such a pretty color !! Have a great week !! :)

I'm finally getting my son to actually go through some things. I feel better when HE gets rid of his stuff LOL

I'm doing the same thing here. They recognize me at Goodwill hahahahaha

Hahaha! The kids tell me they don't want the stuff and I hang on to it anyway. Go figure, but as soon as I throw it out they say, "Mom, do you still have that...". Have a great week!!!

Aw, that Buddy is so cute. I love... Yep, I try throwing stuff out and end up keeping most of it again. When I do have a RUTHLESS clear-out, you can bet your bottom dollar, a week later,I'll wonder "now what made me throw THAT away?" Have a great day Donna dear. Hugs Jo

Cleaning out sure brings back memoories, doesn't it? Enjoy the process but remember to take breaks!

Maybe you could pack it all up (very nicely of course) & send it over to Dd's doorstep that would really decide how much she really wanted it Ha Ha! but golly gosh Donna could I come over for a dance off & belt out those old tunes on those ultra 80's music records.
Oh the memories!!

We are going through that here too Donna..so much STUFF!!! The kids keep telling us they don't want it...wouldn't it be nice if they had told us that about ten years ago???

My kids do the same thing. I'll tell them about something of theirs I found and I get the "just hang on to it for me" I wonder if that really translates into "I don't want that junk in my house, you keep it"

Oh, wow. I thought when I moved to that one bedroom condo, whereas I'd downsized big time, that my pat rat days were over. Then, moved to a house, and now I have Brit's and Patti's "stuff" they want me to keep. aarrgghh :)

Love the photo!!

Some day, it's best to step off that *I'll hand onto it for you* stage.

If they want it, they take it, and hang onto it, themselves.

Tough love, yes!

it finds homes for us everywhere."

I've got four kids and the youngest is 23. Nobody lives at "home" anymore. But you won't believe! The first (oldest) two took every scrap of their belongings with them. The younger two? LOTS OF STUFF still crammed into "their" rooms!!! I'm about to lay down the law and tell them, come get it or it goes to the dump! I'm over it! LOLOL Happy week, Donna dear!

Oh, I've missed reading your blog! Just spent a few minutes catching up. My life has been so crazy, and so has yours it seems. Between photo shoots, Buddy, hubby's tooth, and nearby tornadoes... wow! Anyhow, I think I'm home for a while. Maybe I'll get back to blogging soon too!
*Big Hugs*
