Daddy & Daughter...

Crystal with her Dad and my Hubby on her birthday. I can rarely get Larry to sit for a photo but on this ocassion, Crystal grabbed him before he knew what was happening!Hahaaa...and with a few edits, I think it turned out well. Nothing like having our workplace as a backdrop...sigh. If you're on FaceBook, you've already seen these...sorry for the repeat but....:O)

This is Ken our office manager but whom we consider, family! He held Crystal in his arms when she was just a baby...Lordy, time is zipping by!

Hope you all have a Safe and peaceful weekend. The 4th of July will be here next week! Can you believe it?!

Happy 39th to Our Crystal Anne!

We blinked....and it was 39 years later. I don't know how it's possible but I can still hear her making those tiny "baby" sounds...the gurgles and grunts. She was our gift from God and we will never stop thanking Him for her...We love you Over the Moon Baby.....Now and forever...

Energy...If Only!

This is a shot of our GranSon, William, that was taken while the kids were all out on the playground at the zoo. I just did a few small edits so you could see his face better. Look at all that Energy! I remember running around a playground in total abandon at his age...but now at 60, the memory is fading!Hahaaa....geez...
Hope you all had a safe and happy weekend. We just did the regular grocery trip to town on Saturday and watched three movies in a row, on Sunday. Now I'm back at my desk at work...and it's a Monday again. I've got the TV on waiting for the Supreme Court's decision on ObamaCare and Arizona's Immigration Law...and drinking a coffee. Mondays are usually slow for me...
Here's hoping your day is a great one! My coffee cup needs a refill!

Brenda's Photo Challenge (Childhood Memories)

Morning Guys! Well, I had a few childhood memories laying around...Who doesn't remember the long handled back scratcher or the kitchen clock with your family name on it, hanging in your Mom's kitchen? Also, back when my Dad was still living, he made a set of ceramic coffee cups. He was SO ill but determined to finish them... We owned a kiln and Mom and Dad use to turn out all kinds of things with it. The set of cups are my favorite because they were made right before he passed...He was SO proud of them...sigh...miss them....
Anyhoo, these are my takes on memories. For more, go HERE.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Texas vs New York...

Texas......
New York...
New York...
New York...
Tim, Ty and his girlfriend, Stephanie, looking, in awe...at Our Special Lady...
Statue of Liberty....

I Know! I'm a BAD Blogger! Crystal and Tim left for a trip up North...taking in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York. Meanwhile, back at the ranch....I've been doing a little double duty and sincerely...have not had the time to think of anything decent to write about. Writing about turned ankles or my neck being out or how hot it's getting is Extremely boring fodder! SO, I won't...bore you.
The photo at the top of the post was one that was shot by Crystal on their way to the airport in Austin. I really, upon first seeing it, thought it was copied off the internet as a joke but no...she said the man was actually standing on the side of the road holding that sign! All I can say is, Great marketing skills!Hahaaaa.....And God Bless his Wife!
Hope you all are having a great Wednesday!

Flag Day!

Franklin K. Lane, Secretary of the Interior, delivered a 1914 Flag Day address in which he repeated words he said the flag had spoken to him that morning: "I am what you make me; nothing more. I swing before your eyes as a bright gleam of color, a symbol of yourself."

Happy Flag Day! To learn more about it's history, go HERE. Enjoy your day!

Do You Know?

Anyone have any idea what kind of grasshopper this is? When Hubby and I went to San Antonio a few weeks back, these things were Everywhere! They're migrating from the South...moving North. They're prettier than just the typical green species but they seem to be coming up in droves! And they especially seem to like the tasty Pin Oak leaves...sigh.
What next?
Hubby and I didn't do much this past weekend...GranSon William spent the night on Friday and Crystal and I went to a baby shower on Saturday...I hope you all had a more interesting time of it!Hahaaa....Enjoy the beginning of a new week!

Dusted...

We were up at 5:30am last Saturday to head to a town called Zabciksville, south of us. They sell the BEST sausage I've ever had! Since we had a few errands we needed to take care of, we decided to hit the road early. On the way I captured this crop duster in action...He Almost "dusted" US but, we made it past him just as he was getting ready to dump his load on some cornfields across the road. Nothing was going to stop us getting to our sausage AND cottage cheese kolaches!Hahaaa....
Hope you all are having a good week... I need to get back to blogging more but it has been pretty busy here...But...I'm here now and headed Your way!! Enjoy your day!
