Happy St. Patrick's Day
Love these cupcakes! Found them on a blog called, Happier Than a Pig in Mud. This link will take you to the actual recipe. If you want to see her full blog, just erase the back half off her address up to the dot com and go explore.
Happy St. Patrick's Day! May the winds...'ya know...blow your skirt up or something like that...WHAT???Hahahaa....and may the Blarney, somethingsomething, ahhh....top of the morning thingy...for 'ya! Ok! Sounds good to Me!
Hubby decided to repeat the cheesy, green onion scones in honor of the Day. Always Wonderful!
If you're like me, you're rather tired by the time you reach March and would just wish Holiday Marketing would go take a proverbial, HIKE!
I understand who St. Patrick was and appreciate Ireland's devotion...I think...I was raised Catholic so I had a pretty through diet of saints and their "holidays", but what I take issue with is the selling of the holiday. My main holiday is Christmas. It's the one that says Jesus. We celebrate his birth. We try to remember that life is super short and that maybe Jesus' message really does mean something...Love...nothing more, nothing less. How can you sell that...you can't but retailers think they can so I just try to navigate through the seasonal mess.
They say St. Patrick's Day is also about the food SO...Here's to the devil running down the road...the birds nesting in unison and the clover never leaving stains on the knee of your jeans.
Now...Go eat hardy me maties and just love and care about someone today...I think St. Patrick would approve.

Both look very good and may be a reason for me to dislike you. ;)
Hahaaa... Never in a million years mister! I bring you greetings from the food gods...
Hughugs
Yum, both look so delicious!
Enjoy your week, Donna!
Hugs,
Donna
I agree with you that the holidays are getting too commercialized. I don't get into buying all the trinkets and doodads for decorating. I'd rather spend my $s on photo equipment and vacations! No surprise there!
The food looks delicious in the photos. If you have a scone left, toss one over to me, will ya? Nom, nom, nom...
Hey tomorrow is St.Joseph's day a little recognized saint here in the states.I did put on some green today and will wear red tomorrow, but that is about it.
Fabulous cupcakes!
Happy new week ahead.

Your food always look FABULOUS!! Happy St. Patrick's Day Donna! Now go forth and EAT!! xo
oh yum, I'll take a cupcake and a scone :)
It makes me crazy how retailers go nuts with holidays.
Oh, I love any holiday! Yes... too much commercialism, but I miss most of that since I rarely leave the house anymore, and I watch Netflix and Hulu for most of my programs. My husband started a loaf of oat bread in our bread-maker (he had to dust it as we rarely use it anymore). I plan to relax and watch Celebrity Apprentice with him tonight, while we enjoy bread with butter and jam, and try not to get indigestion from all the backstabbing on the show. It's one of our "guilty pleasures"! Lol! I hope you enjoy your goodies. They look delicious! ((((Hugs))))
Those look delightful!
Happy St. Patrick's day, dear lassie!
Hey, I'm with you Donna. Hunter spent the night Sat. and woke up tomorrow with "I can't believe the leprechauns didn't leave us something!" Ha. I told her "Don't push it little girl!"
We rode along the beaches last evening and I've never seen so much green. :)
I went to Savannah one year for St Pat's. OMGosh, what a mess. Never again.
Have a wonderful day.
xoxo
She woke up "yesterday" not tomorrow. I need to go back to bed. :)
Here, we got take-out Corned Beef and Cabbage from a little family Diner. Purrrrfect way to have it. :-)

And the portions were huge, so we have left-overs. And he will make home-made corned beef hash!!!! Mmmmmmmmmmmm...
He will cut off the fat, so it will not be horribly full of Sat/Fat, like the canned corned beef hash is.

Thanks everyone! Hope you all enjoyed the holiday...Hubby's scones did me in!Hahaaaa...Love those things.

Really fun-looking cupcakes, and of course those scones look delicious! I know what you mean about all the commercial marketing, but I just ignore it and celebrate Christmas (and Easter) in my own way. I pretty much ignore the other holidays, except to gorge on turkey and stuff for Thanksgiving...except I will enjoy the things pertaining to my grandson's enjoyment of any holiday while he's still young! But, I keep the spirit of Christmas and of Easter in my heart, and those are the two holidays that mean the most to me.
Great post though...may the wind blow up your skirt too! :-) Have a great week!
I'm a bit holiday'd out me self by the time o'march blows along. But I think I would have been happy as a pig in pud with those cupcakes! LOL

Hi Donna! I have just come from Ann's blog, where I found you, so thought I would pop over. Your background is so pretty! This food sure looks yummy. I love your tulips below. But the Inca Doves...WOW! I am a birdwatcher, yet I have never heard of them, they are amazing to see. And how they blend right in with the ground.
Hi Donna...nice to meet you. I'm visiting from Ann's Monday blog and just wanted to pop by and give you a biggo 'howdy-do'... Texas style, as I live in the Coastal Bend, Texas.
