The Wanderer...

Do I feel like I'm wandering and not getting much accomplished these days?  You 'Betcha!  Is there a cure for wandering?  Not that I know of.... A good old bowl of hot chili can chase away the cold of Winter for a bit while donuts kill a few cravings...and some fun time with Miss Libby takes my mind off of things that life throws at me, long enough to remember how good I have it while others are having a sad time.  This last week and a half, hubby and I have seen the loss of three people...two classmates and one cousin of Larry's.   All of them in their early sixties!  Larry and I just look at each other when the phone rings...that silent "message" between longtime couples.  Geeeez...
Now that I've given YOU a complete downer for the day...Go off and make it a Great day!  You just don't know what's around the corner.  Say all those things that need saying...and doing!

You are l00% correct; we don't know from one minute to the next. I'm very sorry about your friends and Larry's cousin. :(

I'm so glad you have each other and Libby too. :)

So true, you never know what's around the corner, so live for today.
Your chili looks delish, and I sure could go for one of those donuts right now!

Tis so true. You never know...sorry for your recent loss of friends and family. The chili looks delicious. I don't think we'll need that though this week as much as we did last week. Ha, ha. Libby is a cutie, of course. :)

One of our famous skaters died last weekend. He was younger than I am. Feels a bit strange.

I am so sorry that you have lost some more loved ones in your life. And you are getting constant reminders on how fragile our lives are. Time marches on and it is not always for the better. Take comfort in what you now have and count those blessings!

I so very much enjoyed talking with you on the phone a week or so ago. You are a hoot and a treasure! God bless you, sweetie, especially for making me laugh and feel some joy.

Far too young to lose someone; it really does bring home to us how short life is.

The chilli looks superb!!

Even though I just ate a bbq burger and a cinnamon roll less than an hour ago, that bowl of chili and those donuts had me hankering for some.

Enough silliness, I'm sorry for the losses you have gone through. Life is just stinking hard! Seems we just get through one challenge and there's another. Praying you will get through it with strength and a whole lot of peace! Sending "BIG HUGS" to you!

Russell has heard about at least three classmates of his dying in the last couple of months...early sixties, as you say. Disturbing. Love your bowl of chili, and oh, can't look at the donuts! Started a diet almost a month ago, and am doing well! :-)
