As The World Turns...

Libby wondering why I don't pick on Buddy more..."Cause Buddy won't hold still long enough for a photo!

Buddy getting ready for a 100 yard dash...away from the camera!  Surprised he held still long enough for this terrible shot!

Lemon, butter and powdered sugar German  pancake breakfast...

We drove over to Green's Sausage Haus last weekend and on the way, we had to pass a town that was bustling when I was young!  Saturday morning and nothing there...dead...I just can't believe it....Mom and Dad would pack us kids up and drive up to Lott, Texas on those rare Saturdays that Daddy wasn't working.  Blue jean buying...boot buying...then lunch at the local café...ton's of people shopping at the Western Fair store...cars up and down main street...now look at it...nothing.
I just feel old...
Guess I should say something about the horrible shootings in Dallas...I just don't know what to say.  There just is nothing to say...
I see a hell of a Summer coming...two conventions; prime targets for the paid activist to spread their hate.   There's already been more police ambush killings just since Dallas...
SO...think I'll come visit your corner's of the world.  Hope you all are safe and happy...

I had to laugh when I saw your intro pic before I opened this. Small town is hard to keep going.I try to shop local rather than large chains.

Fun photos of Libby and Buddy! Been thinking of adding a pet to my family again. I'd like a dog, but family wants another kitty, so we'll see. Those pancakes look sooo good! My hubby made french toast with fresh, crushed strawberries this morning. Yum!

I'm with you on the news. It's just painful to think about. I keep believing for every crazy act or person in the news, there are millions of good people and things we hear nothing about. I have to hold on to that, otherwise the sadness would be overwhelming.

Sending you BIG HUGS!!!!

So glad y'all have your pets!

Yes, it's so discouraging, sad, awful what's happening. I cannot wrap my mind around it. Honestly, when voting day comes around, and that won't be very long the way time is fleeting, but I really don't think we have a choice on who to vote for. I may be really "off" but I don't think it would be necessarily wrong for Trump to name the general as running mate. At least someone would have experience and hopefully good knowledge on military. The last one had none!

Sorry, you didn't ask for a "book".

That breakfast looks so good. For now I have to stick with my SlimFast shakes though.
Libby is such a cutie and Buddy is quite handsome even with his laser beam eyes....lol

Your breakfast looks delicious!! Now I am hungry! It is sad that so many of the towns that used to be bustling...are not doing anything and all the stores have closed up. Sad.

The Dallas situation is just dreadful. I am fearful of what's to come as well. There were many, many people arrested at home in our city last night...we are up north right now so not there, but I can read about it in the news. I cannot even imagine what is going on in your state right now. It truly is hard to wrap our heads around it.

I sure do hope that people smarten up and stay safe.

Love those pics of your pups Donna!

Just so you know, after I read this, I immediately went into the kitchen and made French toast. Didn't look as good as yours, and surely not as good! But, I like it. LOL

The world is crazy....hateful...and self-righteous. I'm not sure where we can hide to get away from it. Dallas is not alone in the madness.

The smiley dog photos help us to cope, though. :)

I'd have a ball in that small town, with my camera. But you need to feed me those pancakes first. The shootings this year, and the racial hatred coming from BLM, is so sad, I can't even. Anymore, I just stay home. xoxo
