The Moving Coffee Cup and Plant Ho!!

I'm loving my Blue Willow dish set...

Good morning...Please don't faint...Yes, you're seeing another blog post from me.  What is wrong?  Nuttin...
I've really been a bad blogger in the last few years.  I really miss this medium, and you.
Since I retired, I've had to sort through a whole basketful of emotions.  I absolutely hated not working.  It's not been pretty.  When you've worked since you were fifteen and then...nothing and you're sixty seven, it's sort of a shock.  Some people, like my hubby, take to it like a duck after corn.  Maybe it's the combination, empty nest and no job that causes it, I don't know.  Anyway, I'm adjusting slowly but surly, I mean surely...there's light at the end of the tunnel.  'Nuff said.
Had to have a coffee (hubby roast the beans) while creating this magnificent post.  Posting and coffee go hand in hand!
While out putting fresh water in the furrbabies bowl on the patio (you put their water outside so as to entice them to go potty while out there), I spied some Noah's Ark popping up by a tree close to the patio!  We haven't really had many nights below 30*F so I suppose it's going to make it.  There's only 27 more days until Spring...yeah...so we'll see.
Well, guess I'll close for now.  Hopefully, I'll continue to be a good girl, and post more.
Stay warm or cool my friends!

Hey there lady! I miss blogging too! One day I plan on getting back to it more than once a month or so! I plan on retiring in November and hopefully can make a smooth transition. We'll see!

Shifting gears is difficult, no matter the age...and no matter how long you worked for. I quit my job and they called me back weeks later. I now work part-time and from home. Still...I miss doing what I did...but not the office environment. I think you have to actively decide what you like and what you are going to do each day/week. I signed up for a watercolor class and a calligraphy class. These are interests that I have always put on the back burner--until now.

You will figure it out. The key is to still get yourself out there...meeting people, doing things, stretching yourself.

I've often said that I can't wait to retire. I wonder though if I'll find it less wonderful than I imagine.

Like your husband, I'm a duck after corn. I love retirement! It gives me more time to write and garden. Hope you find something that makes it enjoyable for you.
Love the blue willow pattern.
I'll be back Tuesday:)
Have a great one.

Good to see you again, Donna. Here.

I'm here but not. Came home today instead of waiting until tomorrow. I expect an explosion at "their" house this afternoon or when Matthew gets home from work. Hunt "adopted" a rescue today; he's very sweet but #1 He's part Burmese (I know that's spelled wrong) mountain dog mix with either collie or German shepherd; 1 - 2 years old. He's huge! #2 Before I left, he had found the cat (Stormy) and it was not funny. Stormy wouldn't let Britt pick him up but she grabbed him he looked like a cat that had been struck by lightening. Plus, he clawed her pretty bad. Well, okay that's all for now. I'm going to chillax. :)

Oh please, please, please blog more, Donna! You could look at it as a job! Ta-da ... you're once again employed. Your dishes ARE incredibly gorgeous. I love them. They are so cool and classic. Is that plant called Noah's Ark? I have SCADS of that in my yard (I did not plant it) ... it goes black at the first cold night, then comes back lush when the weather warms! I haven't seen it yet this year, though. I love the purple color. And "slowly but surly" .... haaahahaa that's going to be my new mantra. Be happy, my friend! So many folks love you. xoxo
