Good morning, Friends...
Well, we got Dad buried this past Wednesday. Larry says he's okay, but I believe he's a bit depressed. It's only natural though. He's had his Dad around for all of his 77 years. Larry's younger brother isn't doing a whole lot better...but maybe just a bit. I lost my Mother at 45 and my Dad at 51 so my experience was different from Larry's. I just know what depression looks like and hopefully, we will work through it. It will just take time.
We went to lunch at Rosa's, unintentionally running into Larry's brother Kenny, and sister-in-law, Debbie...after running errands preparing for Dad's funeral. Great minds and all...
The elderly gentleman with the walker is hubby's and Kenny's Uncle Harvey...the last of the siblings.
Happier news...me and my side-kick, Sloane. She makes our "air" breathable these days...we've had enough sadness to last us for a while. The girls picked me up for some sweet time being together.
Our daughter and silly-girl, Crystal.
Our Samantha who's about to deliver our little Lottie Lynn in the next few weeks. If she hasn't delivered by June 11th...they will induce labor but...I think she'll deliver before that.
Sloane...so much fun and love...
Another beautiful card from blogbuddy, Ann. She has so much talent! Thanks Ann!
Finally managed to get our little Sydney's quilt top finished and it's now ready for the longarm lady, Sherrie. I'll take it later this afternoon...can't wait to get it back!
A BLT from Miller's...SO much bacon!
Fajitas...So good!
Turkey thighs and Loaded potatoes...
And of course, we had to go to Rosa's...(see brother photo above). This was our food picture.
AND!! I ran across this photo on a video I was watching about the year 1944 at Penn Station! I Swear the guy on the right is my Dad!! He and his best friend use to catch the train at Penn! I'm trying to figure out how to get it clear!
Stranger things have happened...like..."The Pill" incident that happened to Larry and me the night of Dad's burial...
Proof that Larry really needed this... his mood already has improved today. Thanks for reading to the end! lol
Later friends....

A beautiful post with a some sadness at the loss of a loved one. I've been keeping you all in my prayers that your family would be comforted by the passing of Larry's dad. Goodness...this is an awesome picture of you and Sloan. I love the beautiful smiles. God knows just what we need and this new baby will lift the spirits for each of you. Delicious looking food dishes and the quilts..oh my, they are beautiful. blessings to you all...
LOVE the photo of you and Sloan, and the quilts amaze me, since I can hardly sew a button back on. I have to keep looking for pills we drop and we drop them quite often, both of us have neuropathy in hands and legs/feet. Beau grabs anything that hits the floor, which reminds me of not to long ago I was hold Beaus pill for him, and giving Bob's to him, mine was on the counter and I took Beaus. no problem, it was gabapentin which gave me a good nights sleep but what it is was a BP pill and I gave it to Beau... glad you found it and that is a mystery how it got there
That photo will be interesting to see if the guy on the right is your dad! Oh, the Mexican food at your favorite restaurant looks so delicious. They give big portions! All the other food on here looks good as well. The quilt is so special, and the colors are soft and pretty. That tortoise is amazing. Loved reading the tid bits on him. Wow, he's old! A sweet picture of you and Sloane. Little ones always seem to tell us, everything is right in the world. And lastly, that was awesome that Larry's brother showed up at the restaurant at the same time as ya'll. : ) Love those colorful tiles on the table.

Quite a lifespan for Jonathan. I think some sharks also live that long. Your food looks very good.
That photo of you and Sloane is so sweet!
Your quilts are just incredible. I know they will be treasured for years.
Your food always looks wonderful.
Praying that Larry continues to do better, it's hard to lose a parent.
You have such a beautiful blog. I agree with Shug - a combination of a little sadness with a lot of love. I am sorry about Larry's dad. It is hard to lose a parent.
You and Sloane are so cute. I get to be a great grandma in September of little Mackenzie - but I don't think they will let me put pictures on it.
I LOVE Ann's card.
I'm so glad to read to the end and see the grin on Larry. Prayers for peace in his soul and that his grief will soften into good memories.
Love the pictures of precious Sloane and your whole family.
(((hugs)))

Dear Donna, I am so sorry to learn of Larry's dad's passing. I haven't done much blog visiting for a while due to being ill, but I am better now and am trying to catch up. Now, I am sad to hear this news. Thank the Lord for Sloane, who always brightens things up wherever she is. Both of the quilts that you've been working on are beautiful.
I lost my dad at 35 and blessed to have my mom for 66 years now. Thoughts and prayers for Larry. So glad you found that pill. I was afraid Sloane found it. Wonderful that you had time to spend with her. Janice
Sorry to hear that Larry is taking the loss of his dad so hard. I lost mine at a much younger age. I was late 20's when he passed away.
Glad you got some Sloane time.
Glad you liked the card.
Lovely post Donna. I do hope Larry will be feeling much improved soon. It's definitely final when both of your parents are gone.
Food looks good, the photos too.
Love your AI'S, you did well with those. Love the last one of Larry and his Dad.
The quilts are looking lovely and you must be proud of them..
Take care.
Gorgeous photo of you and Sloane - you're a very good looking family! Some happy coincidences dotted throughout your post. Wouldn't it be lovely if you can get that Penn Station photo cleaned up and it does turn out to be your Dad.
I think it is normal when a parent dies to be a tad depressed for a bit. Thinking of you both as you adjust to a new normal. My best to the new baby and Mom...exciting:)
The loss of a parent is a major life event what ever age we are. Sending kind thoughts to Larry, he’ll get through this in his own time.
I'm so sorry about Larry's dad. Cherish the memories. Love your beautiful family photos! XO
No matter what age, it's always hard to lose a parent. I lost my Mum weeks before I turned 40 and my Dad when I was 55. There's not a day that goes buy when I wish both were granted more time.
Loving the photo of you and sweetie pie Sloane, and Crystal's sweater made me smile. Both of your quilts are absolutely gorgeous and will be much loved and treasured, I'm sure. xxx
All I can say about the 'pill' story is WOW, just WOW! Sloane is growing too fast, she is so precious, and now you're having another grand to love. I love her name, it's unique and sweet. I wonder if there is a professional that could help with your picture. Hopefully you will be able to enhance the photo to see if it's your dad. My daddy has been gone 25 years and I still miss him everyday. Hope Larry's grief will end soon and he is able to enjoy precious memories of his dad.
Hope Larry starts to feel better. He has lots of memories of his dad and that is great. I lost my dad when I was 21 and that was a lifetime ago. I still think of him and miss him. Sloane sure is getting bigger. Enjoy the long weekend!
I’m sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a parent, but particularly a dad I think. I lost my dad six years ago in February, and I still can’t get over it.
Our family’s get us through these sad times, especially the younger ones. They are so innocent and a true blessing. My heart goes out to you all. I hope Larry will feel better soon but I am thinking it could take a while. He is blessed to have you by his side. Interesting about the pill and that is amazing about the photo and your dad. I saw Ann’s card and it gave me a smile. I posted about the one she sent me today. Take good care of yourselves and sending lots of hugs.
Keeping in prayer...wish I could give you all a hug.
Families do help us all get through bad times, thinking of you and sending good wishes across the miles.
I must just add that the photograph of you and Sloane is so cute.
All the best Jan
So very sorry for your and Larry's loss.
Loved the information on bats:)

At this time of sadness for your family, Sloane brings rays of sunshine to each day. Such a lovely pic of you and Sloane together and a fun one of Crystal too.
It's a good job I had eaten before I saw your foodie photos. They all look delicious.
Thinking of you and the family, through the bad days and the good. ❤️

I am sure your are excited for the next few weeks to hurry up so that you can hold your newest little one! Such wonderful looking food. Oh lovely the quilts are.
Such lovely quilts! So very sorry for you and your family's loss......prayers and hugs. Your little granddaughter is so cute!
In that first picture the two brothers sure look alike.
It takes a while to grieve one's parents no matter how old you are.
I hope June is better for your whole family. Boys look the same to me. Glad they got to spend time together.
