Toys and Friends...

Well, it's Saturday!! Hubby and I have been up since 5am...Gads. Oh well, I got up and put the coffee on, made scrambled eggs with tomatoes and bacon...loaded the dishwasher and went to get dressed. After lingering over several cups of coffee, we decided it was time to hit the road. We had serious shopping to get done and wanted to get In and Out of the stores, quickly! We can Not stand throngs of people...We hit the HEB food store, Walmart and Books A Million, then headed home...By 10am, we were Through! Nice!

When we got in the house, Hubby looked out the kitchen window and said our "visitor" was back...Sure enough, Buster The Cat was sleeping in one of our patio chairs! Well, this was Surely a Kodak moment!LOL...Poor kitty...it's a stray but likes to visit. I keep a bowl of water on the patio and occasionally just a "little" food for him...or her. My KiKi passed over several years ago (black cat) and I never wanted another...And I Still don't, BUT...Hahaa....

I also wanted an IPod Touch charger with speakers. Cool item. Did you know...if you have an IPod Touch, you can turn it into a Phone?? Yes! You have to get a service I suppose, through the internet...and somehow, magically...Hahaa...you can use it as a phone! I was listening to the Kim Komando computer program while typing this post and that's what She said! I'll have to research it.

Well, guess I'll get busy making me a cuppa Coffee!!LOL...WHAT??!!!...I need the stuff to keep up with all the new techie stuff...You think "they'll" tax THAT TOOOOO???....GEEZ! Heard about Tom Dashle??? Over $100,000.00 in UnPaid back TAXES!!! What a group of people to feel Proud about....goodgrief.

How to Put a You Tube Video in Your Post

Tabitha said she needed a little instruction on how to upload a You Tube video onto her blog...This always works for me...So come on Girl, gird your loins and lets begin:

1. Go to YouTube-Broadcast Yourself website
2. At the top of page, type in your search
3. Click on it...it will play while you are customizing it.
4. On the Right side of your screen, you will see URL & Embed boxes. You want the Embed box.
5. See the small square box to the right of the Embed box?? It looks like a small circle with tiny spokes sticking out of it...Click on it!
6. A drop down box will appear for you to start customizing.
7. First of all, Un-check the box that says "include all related videos"(sometimes nasty videos show up!)
8. Next is "Show border"...that's up to you.
9. Now you see all the colored boxes? That's the color the bar will be on your video. Pick any color you like. I picked green for this video...See it?
10. Next is the Size of the video box will be...This is new so I'd pick the 425X344 to begin with...Click once on it. (As time goes on, you may want to change the size...up to you).
11. NOW...Go back up to the EMBED BOX...Left click on the code until it turns blue...now...Right click on your mouse and copy the code.
12. Now, minimise the You Tube screen and go to your blog posting area.
13. Go to New Post
14. See on the top of the posting box? You'll see Edit HTML and Compose tabs.
15. Click on EDIT HTML
16. Position your cursor over the posting area
17. Right click and PASTE the code
18. Hit ENTER once or twice and write your post
19. When you are through writing you post, click on PREVIEW...Your Video should come up...If you're happy with it, Click on the HIDE PREVIEW and hit PUBLISH.
20. That's It!

Miss Hayley Grace...

This is Miss Gracie! She belongs to Crystal's friend, Tasha...Don't you think Crystal looks Good holding her? The Baby is Really responding to her I think...Don't you think so too???LOLHahaa...WELL WHAT NOW??!!! I know! You think I'm Still too young to have tons of Grandbabies...LOL...Oh Well...I just have the "cuddling" syndrome...guess I'll go find the hubby...But if he sees me headed his way with a blankie and a bottle...he might run...LOLOL...Happy day everyone!!

Feathered Friends...

Nothing exciting going on here! Just getting all the laundry done and getting things ready for work tomorrow. Hubby made a wonderful stew for lunch...so that means I'll be eating it for lunch tomorrow. No problem there! I think it'll be cold again and something hot to eat is always welcomed.
I wandered around outside this afternoon and remembered I had a bag of birdseed in the garden storage cabinet...went to check it out and the date was still good on the bag so I dumped it all in an empty planter by the birdbath...Hahaa...I have feeders but being in the mode of "domestic goddess", I just dumped it all in the planter....WHAT??!!!LOL....Oh well. Now the birds can All get something to eat...all at once....LOL....geez...I'm going in for another cuppa coffee. Have a Wonderful night and I'll talk at you later!!

Hahaha...I was getting in my car to head home last night when I "Looked Upward" and saw this Goose laying down in the sky....WHAT?!! I moved my car just in time...his rear end looked...ready!!LOL

Hubby said, "Lay Down!".....so I did and came up with this shot of our ceiling fan in the living room....

I Had To!

I could Not take those red hearts Another Minute!!Hahaa...I am trying to get my blog situated!! But, I figure since I can't move my sofa around, or lay around on a Warm Tropical Island... I may as well change things here! I Finally got my cooking blog background fixed again...And...I changed the Brenda Photo Blog up as well. WHAT?!!...LOL...WuddenME!!

It's suppose to be close to 80degrees here today. My head hurts...I just want the temp to either stay Up or Down...Not all in the same day! It was 31 last night and as I sit here, my feet are Still freezing! Guess I need to go outside and warm up....lolol

Historic Day

What a day, huh? Well, we now have a new President and First Lady....May he lead us down the path of prosperity, and guide and protect us with a loving and knowledgeable hand. I pray he succeeds.

Poor Ted Kennedy had a seizure at the luncheon...much too long a day for someone so ill....and Yes, I'm a Republican! I pray for Everyone...hahaa. Seriously though, here's hoping he's just pooped and it's not more serious.

My Word, there were tons of people at the inauguration...I don't think I could have stood outside in 14degree wind chill to watch something like this. I've got HD...LOL

The 100 day honeymoon begins...lets hope he can get Something going. Ya'll have a smiling night.

Weird Looking Day...

Well, it's just a funky little old morning out there! At 7:00 am it was Still Very dark. Guess it was cloudy, even then. It's suppose to get to the mid 50's Maybe even 60! That would be nice...but my feet are Still cold!LOL....
I'm not doing much today. I've got bookshelves to re-organize...getting rid of the books that I don't need or have read and held onto for Ages....Why, I don't know. Do any of you feel this "urge" to Organize????LOL....Gads!
Well, I guess I'll get into the kitchen and put that pork roast on to bake....then Back to cleaning stuff out. I guess one day I'll be glad I worked so hard...Hahaaa....right. Happy day to you all!

Chicken and Hillary...WHAT?!!

My Goodness, its been a few days since I've posted! I posted this chicken & dumplings recipe on my Cooking blog...and I posted on the Brenda Photo Challenge blog...LOL...my word! I plumb forgot to post Here! Oh well, I haven't really been doing anything hair raising or exciting. I brought the chicken & dumplings up here to work so we could share and have some for lunch. Seems Miz Hillary is having her Q&A session (confirmation hearing) today....interesting...the picture is awful...I only have my HP742 with me...bad lighting. So I suppose I'll finish lunch and get back to it. Am I retired yet???? Happy day everyone!

Sorry Joan (Canada)!

She forced me....she did! She told me Not to do it...she waved a red flag. Lust can be a terrible thing...a constant yearning. It Must be satisfied!!LOL....So I did! That frozen chicken kept staring at me every time I'd open the freezer door. I couldn't stand it another minute! I eased him out of the freezer door...gently. Placing him upon the counter, I waited until he thawed towards me...attitude is everything. I knew he'd give me the ultimate gift...Crunch...and he did! He insisted he wouldn't go alone so I baked up a couple of potatoes. They go well together, even to the sweet, crunchy end. My night is now complete. I'm sorry Joan. I failed you....LOLHahaa. I'm now off to find a cozy spot to park myself...sated. Forgive me.

It's Never Dull Around Here...Add'l Story for the Day

My office manager got a call from his buddy (policeman) this morning, who said there was a perp running our way. He had just stolen a...jacket...from Burlington Coat Factory, and was on the run. Ken called back to the warehouse to warn Tony (warehouseman) that we May be expecting company. No sooner then he put the phone on the cradle, he looks at the camera monitor on the counter and saw this guy running through our back lot and going into the area where we park our vans. He's seen a cop approaching...cop saw Him to...Hahaa...He pulled his patrol car into the gate area, jumped out and started his pursuit...perp tried to hide behind a van but that didn't work...cop saw him and yelled at him to hit the dirt...perp didn't do it. Kept running. Dragging the stolen jacket beside him. Looked like the cop had a gun in his hand...but it wasn't...Taser...Hubby said 50,000 volts...whether that's right or not I have no idea BUT, I Do know the 250lb perp went down, still holding that stolen jacket. At least 8 patrol cars were there at any one given time and there were big smiles all around. That silver jeep in the picture is mine...Thank God he didn't run inside our building...We put our faith in God and Smith & Wesson.

If he was cold, there's plenty of places around here to get a jacket for Free...I'm just wondering where he got that Honking, big gold chain around his neck....

Black-eyed Peas and a Private Search Engine!

I added some smoked ham to the peas. Heat it all up and pour over cornbread!!!

It seems like the faster I go, the less I get done!!LOL....My intentions are good but I'm falling seriously behind! And this Weather!! Last Friday and Saturday it was Beautiful here...70's and mid 80's. Monday? 37degrees....Today? 50's warming back up to 72 by Friday! Geez!! Talk about people getting sick!
I've also been listening to all the chatter about Google and their "spying ways"! Well, if you don't want your every search tracked, here's a new search engine! IXQUICK.COM
I'm going to be using it from now on for searching the Web...I really don't want my every move watched!

Well, we've finished up on the blackeyed peas...Finally!Hahaa...I love them with cornbread but enough is enough! I think I want me some Fried Chicken!!!!LOL.....

Stayed Home!

Well, we stayed home on New Year's Eve and did Nuttin!LOL....Of Course we played with William...watched Sponge Bob...watched THREE James Bond movies!! Yes, 9 year old William is Hooked on Bond!LOL...I keep a sleeper sofa out in the playroom where the big screen TV is and we just layed around, tickled, snacked and since I had Not set my wall clock to the Fall Back position, it read to be almost 9:00pm instead of 8....Hahaaa....I got away with it to because he says, "Gamma? Is it late?" Gamma replied, "What does the clock say?" WHAT??!!!Hahaa...I didn't lie!!

I played with his picture in Photoshop. I think I like the black & white one best. SO, guess I'll go out and bring in the Christmas crates...for the ornaments. I don't like this part of Christmas!
