Let me set the stage: I was reading my Blog Buddy, Jennifer's Blog this morning. The hair stood up on my arms and Hubby ran, Screaming from the room....sudden like! I started typing my comment....it turned into a flippin post so here it is on My blog...Hahahaaa...
....Omg....you KNOW this is why I come here....LOL.....
I think #One, you would run screaming from Any store you were in, if you were with Me!!Hahaaa...I Know why I'm there and SO SHOULD the store employees...I'm there so THEY can keep THEIR Job! If I turn down an aisle and it's loaded with stockers and carts, I give them....the "look"...The "look" consist of my right eye, undulating, with slow rhythmic...twitches. The laughing stops and the sea of carts open...Wide.
You DO NOT tell me, "It's over There," without even looking up from what you're doing...
You DO NOT continue talking to another store employee about Jane's bladder operation while I'm standing there, TRYING to get a question answered...
You DO NOT ask me for my phone number BEFORE you've rang up any of my purchases because you think I want ALL those useless advertising mailers sent to my home so I can throw them away! It's Your trash....YOU keep it!
You DO NOT "fondle" my purchases with abandoned glee, exclaiming Loudly..." Oh Honey, This'll do the job!"....while waving said product, around for All to see and not taking note of, an Extremely embarrassed customer in front of you, at the check out! You might get more than you bargained for...
If I drop it, I pick it Up!! If I see YOU drop it AND you walk away? I pick it up and chase YOU down so YOU can do what YOU Should have to begin with! Pick It UP and Put IT BACK!! My line? "I believe you dropped this..." Exiting scene with a smile...
Am I a horse's butt? No... I just believe in doing the right thing...and I expect others to do the same. It's called, "Stepping Up."
Well now that I'm feeling, normal.... again, I guess I'll go try to find Hubby. I hear power tool sounds coming from the woodshed....
Thanks Jennifer for the...fodder! Y'all have a great Sunday....Shopping Later?Hahaa

Right on Donna, customer service sure has been on the decline. You'd think that it would actually be on the rise with the way our economy is too.
Amen sister..AMen
Brian, Isn't that the Truth?! I'd want those customers to come Back?Hahaa

Now days many retail chains don't seem to care about their employees or customers. I enjoyed your post!:)
Thanks Jean...and that's very true. There's more money in smiles!

I do not like to shop but if I did, I'd like shopping with you. I feel the exact same way!
Finally I could visit your blog again! It must have been ages since last I was here!

I've just finished reading Jennifer's Blog and now yours. I really needed a good laugh today, and I've been sitting here laughing my head off, and agreeing with both of you .....The picture of the snippy lady is hilarious too!!
Hugs Donna!
Thanks for the laughs! Like you, I expect customer service. It seems to be an "antiquated" concept to some folks. Do I expect too much? No, I don't think so...
Delores, isn't she a Hoot? Love reading her adventures!
Hope all is well with you two!!

Having spent my entire career in Customer Service for a Fortune 500 company...my opinion is that service, in general, is on the decline...still. It is very sad. We ... the customers... are the reason you jerks are working!! Get with the program and get OFF your cell phone! Man, I'd love to go shoppin' with you Donna!!
The nice thing about living in small town iowa is people are friendly. They walk over with you instead of an over there. If they don't know they find someone who does. Laugh at when people can't be nice, they work in a people store so need to have some personality.I write to the people above if not satisfied with anything.
BAAAAAAAAHAHAHA girl you sure run with the ball when somebody passes it to ya, even if they didn't know they were doing it! LOLOLOL I belly-laughed when you talked about being asked for your phone number. I didn't cover this in my post because I literally could've gone on FOREVAH but at Burlington the cashier did ask me for my phone number and boy, did she get a LOOK from me. I said, WHAT? I have to give my PHONE NUMBER before I may have the privilege of buying something FROM YOU? She said, well, no, you don't have to ... I said, you're darn right I don't have to and I won't, and that was the end of that but honestly? THE NERVE! It's like you get PENALIZED for being a customer instead of being treated like ROYALTY while you're on the property, which you should!
You know where I get treated better than at any other store in town? Dollar General. It's the truth. They are such dears there. I think I'll go today.
Thanks for the bloggy linky love, darlin'! Happy Shopping! BAAHAHAHA
Hahaaa...thanks Jo, no problem! Nope, we are knee deep in Uncustomerly favors here as well!
Happy travels to you! Be safe!

Jeanne, You're Right about the cell phones!! I Forgot to mention That one!!!Hahahaa

Steve, Boy, THAT must be Nice!! Some people here could care Less...sad!!!

Jennifer...Hahahahaaa...I'm Telling You Girl!! How funny! I was Literally IN the store with you! There is absolutely NO reason for them to ask for your phone# Other than advertising...Well, it Don't cut grass with Me!!LOlolol...
Thanks for the idea though...I bet we ALL have some tales to tell!
hughugs
(Dollar General IS a great place to shop!! Nice people!)
Just the other day, I had to wait for the clerk to finish with her iPhone before she could talk to me. She wasn't at all long, but still ...
I no longer stand for crappy customer service. If I don't like it they hear about it. :)
Ac....see? They Need to start caring...Really!
Getting some rest?
hughugs
Ann, Stand Tall Sister!!Hahaaa...you and Me Either!
hughugs
I hear ya! lol!!!!!
Remind me to NEVER work retail at a Texas store near you! ROFL! Give 'em hell!!!
I absolutely hate when I am waiting in line, and when I finally get to the register, the phone rings, and the employee asks me to hang on a sec while they get the phone. So annoying.
Went grocery shopping today… our wal mart is remodeling and it's a mess. The new aisles are so narrow only one buggy can go down them…Then you can't find what your looking for. Crazy.
What drives me even crazier is when clerks ask for my phone number when I write a check and the number is on the check… just look at it so everyone in line behind me doesn't hear my number.
I think I could write a blog post on this Subject as well lol.
Lol!!! Now u know why I don't go shopping with u and then at work make u stay in ur ROOM!!!!! ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great picture. Great rant. Enjoyed it immensely.
Oh, Donna- you are so funny! I'm glad things are finally slowing down enough for me to start blogging again- I've missed your posts! You always give me the giggles!
Now I'm lost. Just came from Ms. Sally's to wish you a Happy Birthday!
I enjoyed the post LOL even if it may not be your b-day :)
Perfect!
I'm exactly the same. I don't cause a fuss for the sake of it - but woe betide any unprofessional shop assistant in my path!
I would love to be a customer service manager for exactly that reason!
Oooh, don't ya just love customer service!! Great post, Donna.
CJ xx
Happy Birthday Donna! Sally told us to visit your blog.
