A New Week...

Well, it's a rainy and chilly Sunday around here. It's been raining all weekend. We have needed it though. I decided this morning to cook a twelve pound turkey...don't know why except there it was, just hanging out in the freezer and looking like it wanted to be cooked. So...I am. Couldn't find a roasting pan big enough for the lid to fit snugly so I pulled out my old roaster. Love this thing. Does a really good job on all sorts of things.
I ALSO changed my blog background to something more BRIGHT! That red one is nice for Christmas but to tell you the truth, it got to be a bit Depressing! I think I like the pink and grey....better...for now.
Also, for those of you that like to participate in the Brenda Photo Challenges...the first one of the year is now up...go Here to enter your link.
Well, that's about it for today...Working on getting bugs out of my big computer (never let teenagers NEAR your computer!) and cooking that turkey (done and now eating a turkey sandwich...) Here's hoping we all have a great week....a Really, great week.

Do I gather that you didn't do turkey about three weeks ago?

I bought a couple turkeys when they were cheap over the holidays. It was really warm here, 12, and I took a hike out around the lake.

The weather has been extra ugly around our area the past 8-10 days and it's getting colder. Don't know about you but I'm ready for a little sun.

Turkey must be the order of the day, but I bought a freshly, baked turkey breast at H.E.B.

Going to check out the challenge.

Last time I cooked a turkey I used the roaster that was my mom's. Things got to be at least 40 years old. The handle on the lid is broke off and I have to cover it with foil but it still cookes a mean turkey Have a good week!

Yummy! Turkey sandwiches sound wonderful! I've been thinking of buying me one of those big roasters. Mom and Grandma both had them... don't know how I missed out getting one! Lol! Also, I'm so happy the Brenda Photo Challenge is back. I was just over there, checking to see if it was active again!

Hugs!

turkey sounds good but with just the two of us we can never eat the whole thing.

I was one happy person when my kids moved out and my computer was mine all mine :)

Haha, we just cooked a turkey last week! We needed room in the freezer and turkey meat is sooooo good!

Glad to see the photo challenge is back!!! I'll mosey over there and see what the theme is...

Gosh, I thought I was in the wrong house with new wallpaper. It is much brighter and I had to laugh. I just changed mine to a lighter color about 15 minutes ago and was thinking the same thing! Too dark!

We all need Spring. We'll get each other through the next couple of months :)
