Warm Spot...

Hubby came in asking if I wanted a shot of some Inca Doves warming themselves by our glass front door Saturday morning.  Of course, this was the very weekend that Crystal and her family had gone skiing in New Mexico and had borrowed my big Canon with the super duper zoomer lens on it.  Oh well, I still had the Nikon I'd purchased as a back up so off I run to grab it.  I think it did a pretty fair job...Said subjects were about twenty feet from me so I had to use the zoom plus make sure it would focus for me.  It did...and I'm pleased with the results.
What are your thoughts...Are you Team Canon or Team Nikon?  OR...Are you just a great photographer?Hahaaaa.....'Cause I Know I'm Not!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Again, we did ...nothing.  Since the kiddos were out of town, I had to go feed and medicate their pets twice a day.  Other than that, it was a do nothing weekend.  Now it's a Monday again.  Back to the grindstone.  Enjoy your day!

I have a Canon 5D and Canon Rebel XSI. Use the big 5D all the time and the iPhone when I have too. Ha, ha. Love the photo! It's quite nice, in focus and the doves are beautiful!

Well, since you asked: I'm a team Kodak EasyShare and I think mine are pretty good. :)

That is a GREAT photo; glad hubby told you about the doves.

My doves don't look like this so thanks for sharing, no matter what kind LOL. IF I ever break down and buy one, I'm sure all I can afford is a Canon :)

Great shot, Ms. Donna!

Beautiful picture! I'm a Canon girl, but the iPhone camera has been getting lots of use lately. Hope you have a great week!

Canon or Nikon: it doesn't matter. The camera doesn't take the picture.

GORGEOUS shot of the doves. Wonderful capture. I'm by no means a great photographer but I volunteer to be captain of Team Nikon. I have a D3100 with an 18-55 mm kit lens plus a 50mm f/1.8G prime. I recently added a D7000 with an 85mm f/1.4D prime. Probably too much camera/lens action for a novice like me but I sure do enjoy them. Next major purchase will be a super-dooper zoom. Don't know how I've lived without it. All in good time. Funds!

Ooooh~ wonderful shot, Miss Donna!! I have a Canon now... it was quite a step up from my old Kodak point-and-shoot and it's so fancy that some days I can't even remember how to take a picture on it! *haha*

Most excellent shot! It's time for those Doves to be pairing off so keep your camera handy for more shots.

I have a Nikon, and 2 Sonys, none are DSLR but all have excellent zooms.

This is a fabulous photo! The sculpted look of their feathers is reflected in the pebbles. My gosh...they are even the same color! I'm impressed!!! I am a Team Nikon. We used to shoot manual Nikons all the time. I'm not a photographer at all, but I feel comfortable with them. Wish we could sell a couple of those older manuals though...would love to buy a new digital Nikon, and it ain't cheap! :-)

yes, it's a really great photo - with some really nice texture. I'm a Nikon gal myself but I really loved my Sony Cybershot too. Hope you're having a great week Donna. happy weekend to you dear. {{{hugs}}}

I am Team Nikon, but also have some others, a point-and-shoot underwater camera that I take as a back-up and for the absolute downpours. I will let my Nikon D7000 get a slight misting, but put it away when it really rains.

Nice job on the doves!

The doves actually blend in with the rocks pretty well. I think your Nikon camera did a great job on that photo. Nice!
