Happy 14th Birthday William and What a Week...

Fourteen years old!!  Good Grief!  He was seven when I started this blog....I just "blinked" a few times!  What Happened to the time??  He's our little Sweetheart though and we Love him dearly.  Here's prayers for his future....and Much love....

I started to write about the crap week we've just had but NO...Not on Will's Birthday....maybe later.  Today I'll chat about happy things.  Like the photo shoot I had yesterday!   Rachel, Josh and Miss Zoey!  I swear, they either gave me raspberries or inquisitive stares!Hahaaaa.....Out of 300 shots I managed to find over twenty good shots.

I was SUPPOSE to do Two photo shoots yesterday but the first lady....well lets just say, when I am working for Nothing...yes, I said Nothing...I expect You, as the client, to at Least remember that you begged for the photo shoot and when I bust my butt finding you, my phone crashing,  flagging down the postman,  a muddy and perilous driveway, a ravenous and frothy mouthed guard dog...(well, maybe not frothy mouthed), knocking on the nasty front door only to have it answered by the young teenage boy whose  mom asked me to take those football photos of, who is eying me with distrust at ten forty five in the morning, while Still in his jammies, wanting to know what I WANT? .Hahaaaaa....ohlordy...."I'm the one whose Suppose to take your pictures today?  Hello?  Where's your mother?"  Out comes mom...still in Her jammies claiming she just forgot and can she re-schedule?  Re-schedule......now there's a word for you...but it ain't happening folks.  I do this for the fun of it and when it ceases to be fun, I'm done.
SO...on to the second appointment which was Tons of fun and had lots of laughs.  The Grandmother is an old friend of mine.  Little Zoey was a preemie and is growing by leaps and bounds!
It ended up being a Good day after all...
Guess I'll get back to episode 59 of Midsomer Murders...Hahaaaa....and get busy on more edits.
Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

Happy Birthday to your handsome, William!

Zoey is a little doll!

So glad you didn't give that Mom a second shot at having you do her sons photos. Good grief!

Happy Birthday William! Yikes, where has the time gone? He's such a beautiful boy. I lub him and have never met him, yet! :)

Those pics are wonderful; I LOVE the baby; her face, those eyes! Beautiful photo's, Donna.

Yeah, when you work for nothin' people should be grateful, and not forget! I don't blame you at ALL!

xoxo

Best wishes for the birthday fella! Yep, he's getting big - AND handsome!

Geesh, you need to kick that one lady to the curb, for sure. Do I need to send Marty over to exam your noggin since you are giving your photo services away for free? Heavens to betsy, gal, barter with those clients if they can't afford to give you some moola. Your time and energy (not to mention equipment) are worth something!

Here's a hint - put your camera on continuous shooting. Purposely take LOTS of photos and tell the clients that you are trying to capture just the right expression. Two things will happen. (1) You'll get more shots that are keepers. (2) The clients will know up-front that you are taking a ka-zillion photos and will cull ruthlessly from the entire photo shoot (whether it was your intention or not, haha).

Happy Birthday William! What a handsome young man! I love the shot of little Zoey. I'm glad you won't re-schedule for that mom who cannot even get dressed before 11.45am! Hope you're having a great day. (((Hugs))) Jo

That first photo shoot would have seriously irritated me. Little Zoey is a total doll

Well, Happy birthday to a very handsome young man. And yes, time flys by way too fast!!! Oh my! Photoshoots for nothing??? Dear, you need to charge something and have it paid up front just to schedule and if they forget no refund. Really, especially if is someone you don't know and have to go to so much effort to find. Because that is not fun. Glad you aren't "rescheduling." Adorable photos of the baby so glad that session was fun for ya!

Explore life closer to being an adult Will! " I will," he said. I laugh when I think of you when I see pink roses, a color that also catches my eye with many flowers.
You need to work over my header, yours is what caught my eye today first.

William has grown up before our eyes and what a beautiful young man he is. I can tell he's just as pretty on the inside as he is on the outside. Thanks for your faithful chronicling of his progress as a young man, Donna. I can tell it's a labor of love and I know what that's like.

As to the "others' who constantly jerk one around when one is attempting to do them a FAVOR and at the same time advance their own skills as a photographer, I hear you loud and clear. I have not had the TRULY CRIMINALLY AWFUL AND RUDE experience you described, but I have to all but beg folks to "sit" for me as guinea pigs of sorts, me not charging a sou, simply asking for help. I am meeting a young lady on Wednesday who seems keen to be the subject of a shoot. Here's hoping it works out.

Meanwhile you do GLORIOUS work so keep slugging away. Love ya doll. xoxo

Some people have an awful lot of nerve and not very much class.

Speaking of mysteries, when we tried to watch the latest Endeavour that we taped, it was aborted due to difficulties. Looked for it later, and I hope the second try works.

William is getting more and more handsome each and every birthday !! I bet he has more girls calling him each day.

I am so glad you aren't taking the pictures of the family who wanted to re-schedule. That is just not right !

Miss Zoey and her momma and daddy are so cute !!

Oh happy days !! :)

With all the aggravation involved, I'm not sure I could do it for free (except for relatives only!) Wow, you have a lot of patience! Your pictures of the baby doll and her parents are adorable (raspberry not-withstanding! :-) ) and Happy Birthday to Will! I'm sorry, but as I watch my now almost 12 year old grandson grow into a teenager right before my eyes, I get a little sad...happy and sad. Can't wait to see the man he is going to be, but grieve over the years that have slipped away. That baby is GONE!
