Bluebonnets....
Are you SHOCKED???Hahaaaa.....Two post in as many days??? Don't mean to scare you...just thought I'd post this photo of the bluebonnets that cover everything around these parts this time of the year. They love crappy soil...really. The worse, the better. Larry and I were on the way to the sausage house when he suddenly pulled the truck over to the side of the road and said, "Here you go..." I think he's getting pretty good at mind reading these days!
Well, hope you all have a wonderful evening...I'll be popping over to catch up!

Sure can look pretty for growing in crappy soil!
those are really pretty. How sweet of Larry to pull over like that for you. I could never get Wade to do that.
I'm not asking what the "sausage house" is....
I would love to see a field of those! I can only imagine how beautiful it is.
Aww thank you Donna - these beautiful Bluebonnets make my heart sing!!!
That is the most wonderful blue and works so well with pink roses.
I googled them and the best site was The Lady Bird Johnson wildflower centre at the University of Texas. I've bookmarked it for future reference.
In my corner of the world in the Southern Hemisphere I need to plant the seeds now for flowers in September/October which is our Spring season!
It's all about Autumn leaves and Japanese Anenomes here now!
What a fantastic shot.It was nice to hear from you more often.
THANK YOU THANK YOU!! We adore bluebonnets but will probably never see real ones. Listen to the Nanci Griffith song "Gulf Coast Highway", it is a gorgeous ballad abut love and bluebonnets.
And YES, these WERE made in Heaven!
So loverly. I was wondering if they were the same plant as the bluebells in England, but I see they're not. We have neither here, at least not in any abundance. Love them both.
Love that, Donna! I wish my whole backyard was filled with those pretty's. :)

Beautiful photo! I'm a born and raised Texan and I absolutely adore our bluebonnets!
Great photo! I'd love to see those beautiful bluebonnets sometime, but I think it will have to be in heaven rather than on this earth.
They are so pretty!
Enchanting! xoxo
Ooooh...YES! Too pretty, Donna! Hope you are doing well.
Happy Mother's Day, Donna. One of the best mom's I know!
xoxo

Love the Bluebonnets! I'm so glad you shared this photo! I hope you had a wonderful and Happy Mother's Day. I haven't been blogging much. So busy with life, family, and working on the family tree. Looks like some may have settled in Texas... still working on that clue though. Wishing you a beautiful day!
HUGS!
