Organizing and Brownies...

Don't hate me!!!  Couldn't help myself.  This is a recipe I found on Pinterest and suddenly, on Saturday, I felt the urge to make it.  Larry helped gathering ingredients and in the mixer bowl they went.  It's touted as the Worlds Best Chocolate Chip bars but I just don't think so...definitely, a brownie and definitely good!  Keep checking how dark it's getting on top...you don't want it too browned.  It will dry out on you.  The original time instructions said bake for 20 minutes but in my glass 9X13 pan, it was too moist so I baked it ten more minutes.  You'll need to play with it yourselves.

The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
Aunt Sherol's famous Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars!
Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (or more if desired)
Instructions
  1. Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla together. Add in eggs.
  2. Stir in flour, salt and baking soda until combined.
  3. Gently fold in chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
  4. Spread on greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, or until lightly golden brown on top.
  5. After it's cooled, slice into bars.
Well, I also got caught up in trying to clean out closets...GEEZ!  WHY do I think I'm going to need flower seeds left over from 2005???  Really?Hahaa....or old purses I had purchased and definitely worn out since 1985?   I think it's called being a pack rat...butttt!!!  I'm Not! (denial).  Oh well, It'll get finished eventually....
Will be working on the old blog over the next few days...you know how you feel when the blog feels "tired".  No telling what I'll come up with but perhaps Spring will figure into it...sigh.
Headed your way so have a wonderful day or night and those of you that are fighting your way through all that snow, Be Safe and Stay Warm!

Looks delicious especially with the nuts on top.
I wouldn't dare make it just now - I'm trying so hard to be good - I would visit the cake tin too often.....

Well the brownies certainly look good. I could clean out that pan real quick...lol
I need to do some organizing around here since I tend to be a bit of a pack rat too. I start to throw something out then change my mind because I just might want to use that again.

I would undercook them a bit perhaps and then over eat them.

Oh girl. Please stop. Seriously those look dangerous. But not as dangerous as saving purses since the Reagan administration! Wait ... let me check my closet ... nope, I think my oldest purse is circa 1988. Haaahahaha thanks for the love on my blog. Much appreciated my dear friend. xoxo

I'm proud of you cleaning out your closets! I cleaned out my pantry a couple of weeks ago, does that count? The cookie bars look tasty. And I bet they were much easier to do than individual cookies! YUM!
