Go Plant Something...

Well, it's finally Friday and I thought I'd blog a little something.    Hubby and I don't have much planned for the weekend...maybe more planting.  It gets pretty hot here in the Summer so we don't have a huge selection to pick from as far as blooming plants go.  I love geraniums and hydrangeas...can't have too many...which I don't so, it's off to the nursery, hopefully, Saturday.  Other than that, I got nothing.  I might try to roust out my sister, if I can find her.  Who knows... Anyway, hope you all have a safe and blessed weekend.

I love geraniums and hydrangea, too. Geraniums in particular have such a wonderful range to choose from, too.

They're "simple" blooms, if you understand my meaning of "simple", but in their simplicity most beautiful. To help explain...I class daisies as a "simple" blossom, but I love daisies and think they're exquisite in their purity.

They're two great flowers to have in the garden. Your pink Hydrangea is very pretty!

My hydrangeas have given me much pleasure this year - a good season for them.
Now with Autumn here I'm sad to see them withering and in the next 3-4 weeks I'll cut them back and look forward to their company again come Spring!

I haven't had geraniums for ages but I'm planning some hanging baskets in the courtyard, they will be perfect as they are quite drought tolerant, meaning if I don't water them for a few days they should survive!

ENJOY your visit to the garden centre - it always inspires me!!

Hi, sweetie! I love both of those. Hope you find what you like! No planting me this year, broken foot and all. Getting by with bare minimum this year. The day lilies will bloom starting in June. That will have to suffice.

Beautiful flowers! I'm eager to plant too, but we could have a hard frost right up till about June 5. I suppose I should wait.

My hydrnageas are just peeking. I overwintered a few geraniums, but they are always a standard to use. I always find more and more to add to my yard, until I run totally out of room.I go to all the greenhouses within 80 miles of my home.

The one geranium I had was about the only thing the grasshoppers didn't bother too much. UGH!

Have a good weekend!

I'd love to have geraniums and hydrangeas! So beautiful. Decided to take a look at the front flower bed and was daydreaming about having my husband dig the whole thing out and start over. Too many irises and a vine that has taken over! He came in later to tell me Ms. Duck had nested back in there again. The digging will have to wait for a while! Oh well...Lol! Maybe I'll get a few photos of ducklings before they head to the canal. :)

I love geraniums too. Bought a big hanging one this year. So big it started tilting to one side so now it sits on a chair by the front door. Curious to see how long it lasts once it gets super hot!

I love geraniums, especially. I have a pink one and plan on getting more.
And, when you can, look at SHUTTERS on Pinterest and you'll see some AWESOME ideas on using shutters.

Oh what gorgeous flowers, Donna! I too have a red geranium on my front porch. Can't grow hydrangeas here, much to my dismay! Yours are both beautiful! Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

I wish I were better with flowers ... alas, I mostly succeed in making them give up the ghost. And it gets awful hot here too, but nevertheless I do love the summer. I love the sky, and the song of the cicadas, and the pool times, and pop-up thunderstorms. It's all good. I may try to do a multi-plant pot this summer, just to prove to myself that I can. xoxo
