In The Mood...to Bake

I guess it was all that rain and having to stay close to home that threw me into a baking frenzy.  This time, it was a Banana Cherry Pecan Pound Cake...my own invention.  Turned out really moist but could have used a tiny bit more sugar.  I'll remember that the next time around.

The kitties have settled in but I'm still looking for homes for them.  Need to get the shots and get them fixed though.  We have a dog door and once they figure it out, they might take off.  I'd feel better knowing they were fixed.  But in the meantime, this is Harry and he's a real sweetie...lap cat.

I have Sirus XM Radio in my car and can get it also, on any device I have.  Lately, I've been listening to the Radio Classics, dial 82.  Love it.  Johnny Dollar, Sherlock Holmes...and tons of other oldies.  The news lately has been SO depressing with no end to all the bad news and no one in the administration seems to care.  Don't get me started....

Well, guess I'll get this posted and come visiting...Hope you all are having a super day.

I hope you don't bake the cats in your baking frenzy. :)

Well yummy! That looks and sounds delicious! The kitty is so cute with beautiful eyes. He's happy at your house. I say keep them. Cats are good to have around. :)

I love pound cake; that looks so good.

No rain at all here; I just finished mowing the front and
probably shouldn't have.

Not a cat person, but Harry, he's just too cute!

The news is bad, it's so sad the shape our country is coming to,
and actually has already. :(

See if you can hook up with an organization to help you with the cost of getting the kitties fixed. Please. You don't need more kitties.

I like Sirius too, although our radio stations in Chicago are pretty good. I do a lot of flipping around when I am driving. BUT...I also listen to a lot of talk radio--but the funny stuff--none of the politics. I agree, that is depressing.

Ah, the adorable kitties are still around, I see. A sweet face. The pound cake looks delicious.

I can hardly stand to listen to the news anymore. So negative and always yapping hysterically over imaginary injustices. Meanwhile our country is sliding down the tubes. Yep, listening to music is a lot more comforting!

BANANA. CHERRY. PECAN. POUND CAKE. You type those words and post that pic and DON'T share the recipe? Out with it. I love oldies radio but I don't have Sirius XM. I wish I did. xoxo
