A Fun Filled Jan-Feb...

Our William came home from the Air Force...Arizona, for a visit!

I bought a new mixer to replace my Kitchen Aid...Bosch Universal 800 and I LOVE IT!!

I made strawberry cupcakes...

I added bell pepper to hamburger...put on cookie sheet then froze them...popped into a plastic bag.

I made Italian sesame bread

Chocolate chip Peanut butter & walnut...

Diced up 20 pounds of onions for the freezer...Haha...Larry took over for a minute so I could take a breather!  Onions!

Boiled potatoes, let cool then sliced up for freezing...

So easy to do!
The bread...

Chocolate Chocolate Chip...

The Kitchen Sink cookies...

WHAT??? Hahaaa...'ya gotta laugh...

Made dishwasher soap...

Made laundry soap (My old Tide box of powder now cost $18.00!)  No Thanks!  This works just fine!

The onions...

It SNOWED a little this year...

French toast with lemon juice and powdered sugar...

Well?  Did you make it through all the photos?Hahaa...I can't say it's been busy...but, yeah...it was.
Larry's Dad had his surgery in January.  He did great!  (Thanks for the prayers!)  He's now here in town at a nursing facility where they do rehab. He can't go home unless he's up...walking unassisted.  He's been a bit of a pill but I think he's starting to get things in gear.

Meanwhile...two days after his surgery...and we were parked in a Houston RV park...it was cold...rainy...I came down with pneumonia...and yes, Larry took me to an urgent care facility buttt...the nitwit child doctor told me I had sinusitis ...even after I told him I had fever daily...nightly...99.8  to 103...bad cough...but he diagnosed me by just looking at me...Nurses' opinion didn't matter to him, and no...I didn't tell him I was LVN....(he knew best...I once worked for a doctor that couldn't diagnose ringworm...No, seriously...he hadn't a clue...he didn't listen to me either...child ended up in the ER several weeks later.)  We left there and Larry said "to heck with this, I'm taking you home!"
So...he drove our car (rv toad) to my doctor's office (three hours back to Waco)  and my doc took one look at me...ordered a chest x-ray...came back and said "yep...pneumonia".
I was down a total of two months...finally stopped coughing the last of February.
Larry ended up driving back to Houston to be with his Dad and I stayed home.
SO...that's it for me...How'd your Winter go?lol

You had pneumonia? Did I know that? Two months is a long time to be so sick! I'm sorry, Donna.

I'm so happy to know y'all had William on a visit! I still can't believe he's grown up, and in the service. And, so TALL! And, handsome to boot!

Glad Larry's dad is doing better now. Does he live in Houston, or is that just where the surgery was? Tough old bird!

I have two questions:
Are you opening a restaurant?
Or, are you opening a Laundromat?

The rose is so beautiful, just like you! I'm glad you're feeling better now. And, yes ain't retirement great? :)

We've just finished with summer here...autumn (fall) has begun.

I'm so glad you went to your own doctor, Donna! That other idiot should be reported for his negligence! Take good care...it is obvious you are and you have a very good man in your corner!

My! My! You certainly have been busy...very busy!! You blow my socks off! :) (I didn't have any on...but you know what I mean! *smile*)

I’m so sorry that you had pneumonia, Donna! Goodness! I was sick for most of January, as I caught the flu, even though I had the flu shot and then I got a horrible cough. My doc was afraid I’d get pneumonia so she put me on an antibiotic.
You were so busy with all that cooking, freezing and baking. I did laugh at your cruise picture! Thank goodness you’re safe and sound.

Aww, your Larry is a keeper :)
I was getting pretty hungry scrolling through your pictures but the french toast put me over the edge.

Those food pictures! So good. I'm thinking about making my own laundry detergent also. Have a recipe for liquid that I may try! We are slowly moving toward Spring and that makes me happy! Glad you are well now, buddy!

I had to come back and look at that awe inspiring food, Donna!

Okay then, it's time now for you to update us again. Just a little nudge from me.

Love you all.

Oh Donna ... pneumonia? That's hard core! I am so glad Larry reacted the way that he did. But still ... two months is a long road. Are you sure it wasn't coronavirus? At any rate I'm glad you're better and WOW what a genius you are in the kitchen! Beautiful things ... those CUPCAKES! And the pound cake at the end ... all just so scrumptious. Be well, my friend! Those grands are gorgeous! xoxo

Okay, that's what Pineer woman used to say. :)

Ok, this is your l0th comment.

Waiting. :)
