Levain and Milk Bottle Cookie Wannabes...

Good morning!  Thought I'd check in with you.  Not up to much but will start keeping my great granddaughter, Sloane, for my granddaughter, Samantha...got that? Lol

It can get confusing.  Samantha is a hair stylist and is beginning her journey back to that world after the birth of little Sloane.  I'll be watching her until Sam can get her into a childcare facility.  There is one close to her place of business which would make it so much easier.  Her job and our house are on opposite ends of town and when she gets through with work, she can easily stop in the daycare, pick up Sloane and head home which is 45 minutes away.

Hubby and I like to try out different coffee shops around town, on occasion.  The last one was called Milk Bottle Cookie Shop, in our town.  Their cookies are good, but they just leave too much of the dough, raw.... way too much.  You just feel like you're eating cookie dough.  Some people like it...I really don't care too much for it.  Some is okay but...not the whole of the center of the cookie.  Anyway, I came home and created my own version.  It's wonderful and tender in the middle but doesn't make you feel like its raw.

Milk Bottle Coffee...really good.

Our little Sloane Sweetie...12 lbs now!

My version of the Levain cookie...huge and wonderful!

And my Brown Butter cookies...yum!

My Banana Pudding Cookies...also huge (5ozs) and a big hit!

I'm also experimenting with packaging them so I can mail them safely to grandkids and my daughter.  This was done with my vacuum sealer on gentle cycle.  Package up what I want to send, and they are good to go!  Of course, you need to put in extra things to make the trip safely...extra packing paper or noodles.

This is a cookie experiment...Candy Corn Cookies...Taste great but they kept spreading out too much.  SIX inches in width!  I'm still working to correct that.

Hope you all are doing well...Have a wonderful and peaceful week!
I'll be around to check on you!

So you're the cookie woman :), they look delicious. Your granddaughter is very cute and I'm sure she'll be trying your cookies when she has some teeth. :) Enjoy your week!

Hey!!

Don't forget your dear, sweet, lovely friend who loves cookies! :)
But please no candy corn. Just send them somewhere else.

Sloane! She is my favorite baby girl until January when Dallas arrives. You are so blessed to be able to take care of her for a while. I doubt I'll be trusted with Dallas since, you know my family thinks I'm nuts. hahaha

I'm taking a break from FB! It feels awesome. Really! I was seeing things that were so ridiculous. I'll send you an email if I still have it. I'm going to try and post a bit every day on my blog which you know, it could get raunchy. :)

xoxo

You always make me want baked good when I visit your blog! I am celiac, so I have to modify my baking now to account for the elimination of gluten. BUT...it CAN be done successfully!! So, that's fun (and a challenge).

Baby Sloane is ADORABLE! What a pretty baby! Looks like the beautiful girls just keep coming in your family. :)

Would you look at that cute little peanut?! She is adorable! Wonderful that you get to watch her for Samantha. Sloane won't lake for cuddles, that's for sure! Now I have to go exercise to lose the 5 lbs. I just gained looking at those delicious cookies! XO buddy!

Little Sloane is so cute. She has the sweetest face. Wow, you are a cookie baker. The Levain cookies look really good. I do like my cookies soft, but not doughy, so I know what you mean. And a cup of hot coffee to go with cookies is simply perfect. That is wonderful that you will be watching Sloane for a time. I watched Mia for about 8 months, but only once a week, and Nel was fortunate to be able to be with her and work from home. How fun to try different coffee shops in your town. I hope you find the one that suits you.

Seriously Donna, your cookies are WAY better than anything sold in any shop ... I can tell that just by looking and not even having to taste! Please do share the entire recipes for the Brown Butter and the Banana Pudding varieties! xoxo
