Apple Fritters...Chicken, Catfish and Hugs

Good morning, Friends.  Just checking in.  It's really not been a very busy week...again.  But believe me, I'm not complaining!  Less is more.
We had a sweet visit with our good friends, Bill & Wanda Coker.  They live in a small town, Medina, Texas...near San Antonio in an over 55 community.  They love it...live in a tiny house...which they are expanding...lol
We all went to high school together in the '60s.

I made apple fritters to enjoy with coffee, while we visited.

We told lies...laughed...and talked about old school memories.

Earlier in the week, Larry fried up some catfish filets.  I made a salad to go with it.

Our Greatgran, Sloane lining her babies up and teaching them how to be sweet babies...lol

Taking a break from a grueling morning of teaching...

But she always makes time for her Gamma.  I love her so much...

Well, I did say it had been another slow week.  Other than cooking...running errands in town, it's been slow.
I hope you all are doing great...keeping warm or cool, wherever you are.  So...until next time...

How nice to visit with old friends, Donna! Your little Sloane just gets cuter and cuter!!
In your previous post, I read about your eyes. I hope all will be well with them. I do love your fragrance jar and it’s amazing that it’s still giving off scent after 30 years! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Those apple fritters look amazing. I wish I had one to go with my coffee this morning. A nice visit you had with your friends. Sometimes old friends are the best ones. I love that picture of Sloane with her dolls. I still love dolls to this day, so it made me smile. I'm not a fish lover, but Larry's fried catfish filets look really good. A treasured photo of you and Sloane, one to be framed. And I LOVE that picture of Big Foot.....so true.

Have a lovely weekend.

**oh, I wanted to tell you that I love the snow. It doesn't last for long, and I've never lived with it surrounding my home, so it's a beautiful sight to me. : )

Less is more, indeed, and I actually wish my weeks were a bit less busy!
How lovely to have had your friends over for a visit, and those apple fritters are looking seriously delicious!
And of course, no post of yours would be complete without cutie pie Sloane! xxx

Those apple fritters look amazing! I love them, but I have never made them. I think I remember my mother making them when I was a little girl. I could really go for one now.

A good laugh with old friends is just the bees knees.
Sloane is so sweet, and teaching her dolls, bless her.
Love the food, and that first photo is beautiful Donna.

They're living in a tiny house that they're expanding....lol That just cracks me up. Every time I see one of those tiny houses I can't help thinking they would feel very claustrophobic to me. I can't imagine living in one full time with more than just myself.

The photo of Sloane "teaching" her dollies is precious. She is one cutie patootie for sure.
Apple Fritters are my downfall. Our local donut shop makes the very best fresh daily. I really have to stay away from there..the pounds are slowly climbing!
I love getting together with long time friends. It doesn't happen often enough. So thankful for phone calls that keep us connected though.
Calm and slow days are so wonderful Enjoy yours!!

Ah - that 50 shades of grey....too funny!! A good chuckle this afternoon. I hope that week is going well. It has a beauty of week here. I guess that is one reason I am so slow to visiting my favorite blogs. Nevertheless - hello friend!:)
