Tissue...Quiche', Our Babies and Aunt Jemima

Well, we haven't been doing much this week...mainly hanging out around the house watching the news and cooking.  Made a batch of cookies...ate them...lolol... not so good for the waistline.

I found a cute idea on YouTube!  I usually have toilet paper rolls sitting out for convenience's sake.  Well!  You can either use colorful napkins or a piece of colored tissue wrapping paper to roll the toilet paper in.  Cut the paper large enough to totally cover the roll...It's so simple but the color combinations are endless.  Just depends on what you like!

You can really get creative!  And it's better than just the plain old tiresome white roll.

Made air fryer chicken with corn, bell pepper and hash brown potatoes.  Turned out really good.

Also made a quiche for breakfast...cheesy!

Also got to meet our girls for a Dairy Queen hot fudge sundae... and a quick visit.  They had been in town most of the day and were a bit tired.  Sloane was in full throttle...lol... sweet baby girl.  Nothing like seeing the babies for a perk-up...this getting old sucks.  There was an elderly man sitting by himself in the next booth from us...and was loving Sloane and her antics.  We apologized for the disruptions, but he told Crystal not to worry...that he enjoyed it.  I think about him often and hope he has someone he can depend on.

Oh my goodness, this was good!  Fried porkchops with gravy and a sweet potato.

Have you heard this??  I am so in favor of her photo being put back on the products!  She worked her butt off to get where she got in life and for those PC Police in Washington, to take that from her memory, was disgraceful!  She is a family icon!  I hope this is true...

Haven't tried this recipe yet but probably will sometime this weekend.  Looks good!

Well, that's about it for me...Hope you all are doing great and have found something wonderful to smile about.
So... until next time...

You have such beautiful girls and I'm glad you all got to meet up for "ice cream." I had heard aunt Jemima was getting to come back...I'm sure enjoying these warm pictures of the food your cooked. I love quiche and this one makes me hungry. When I first saw the picture of the toilet paper, I thought wow.... this is such an uplifting pictures...what a fabulous idea. Now to find some cute paper and I'm going to do this. My kiddos will think I'm brilliant!! lol. All of the pink on your page is a blessing because it reminds me of my mom. Enjoy this special day.

How fun to have a DQ visit with your girls. Love the Oreo blizzard.
How nice for the elderly gentleman to enoy the energy of the little one. The Airfryer we ordered got lost in the mail, and tracking it seems it wanted to see the world before getting back to us. So I just canced the order and ask for a refund. We will just go buy one!! Everytime I see your food it reminds me we still don't have our airfryer.
Had to laugh at your memes. You find the best pictures.
Pretty TP wraps. I like rolled towels. I have them in my bathroom, Take up less space and look nice and are handy!!
Have a great Sunday.

So glad Aunt Jemima syrup is back. She goes back a long time, doesn't she? And her syrup is so good. The food on here looks delicious, especially the pork chops with gravy and sweet potato. Is that a real cat, cause it sure looks creepy. They do have some strange looking cats around. That's a cute picture of grandma and Samantha. What a nice visit you had at Dairy Queen. I used to get the hot fudge sundaes from time to time, they're so Yummy. Wow, those bakery-style chocolate chip cookies look great! It's always a pleasure to visit with you, Donna, and see what's going on in your sweet world.

Hey lady! I'm trying to diet. ;)

Since you are into toilet paper, I would like you to explain why they have to glue the leading end down. It is time for technology to solve this. lol

Yes growing old is not for sissies. You are still doing well to be able to cook such delicious meals. We find even cooking is a chore these days so we get meals delivered for some of the days.
