Fun...Food and Water

Good morning Friends...
Well, Sloanes birthday party was a success.  Larry and I were in charge of picking up the pizza and sweet tea in town before making the trip south.  We arrived early to a huge water slide on the hill!  The guys were looking it over with that guy sort of musing... not quite sure of it yet nodding their heads in agreement of something...lolol

Well, someone had to test it out!  And Sloane was thrilled to do so...lol

Gotta' have sweet tea...

And pizza...

With a cookie cake...

Larry said he wanted a plain old toaster.  Something easy to use.  I ordered this Roter Mond 2-slice toaster from Amazon.  It browns perfectly!  And it's very user friendly.

We finally found time to go out to eat at a really great place in downtown Waco.  I swear it has the best food!  The biscuits may not look like much, but they are as soft as a cloud!

And the bacon was perfect!

Making up for lost time...we also ate at Cheddars.  Fish and shrimp.

(Strawberry Jalapeno Jam by Lone Prairie Farms purchased at HEB)

Our Granddaughter, Samantha, had prepared an appetizer just using Hot Pepper jelly and cream cheese!  Oh My Word!!  Talk about good!  She opened several packages of wheat crackers and whalaaa...done!  Delicious!

Well, that's it for me this week.  Hope you all enjoy a wonderful weekend.
So, until next time...

I love the sweet pepper jelly and cream cheese.
Cute toaster!

I like the look of the toaster, but I’d want a four slicer.

The bacon would have been perfect for me, but some like it crisp and hard. I don’t understand that.

Happy birthday Sloane! What a beautiful party you had - I love that pink table setting. And an inflatable water slide - I don't think I have ever seen one of those.
I did not know the information about Chickens and T Rex!
I love that toaster - it would go great in my kitchen as my accent color is aqua!
And the story about finding the dog in 5 weeks - so happy.

Wow, that's quite a slide ... How fun for everyone.
Pizza and tea ... no better combination.
Happy Birthday Sweet Sloane.
I absolutely love the pepper jelly and cream cheese combo. I'm afraid I can eat the whole thing myself (actually, I have been known to do that very thing.)
We need a new toaster too. Ours is on its last leg.

It's good the party went off well. Your new toaster is looking nice, good colour too. Your food looks good and the prawns look crunchy as does the bacon.

Wow, that is a lot of pizza! That water slide looks like so much fun. I wouldn't have thought twice to give it a go when we had +30°C temperatures a while ago :-)
Oh, and your new toaster looks fabulous, what a wonderful colour it is (one of my favourites!) xxx

Happy Birthday Sloane, now that slide looks like a whole lot of fun! I used to make that appetizer a few years back. It was always so good. I'm going to do it again thanks to Samantha and you for sharing it. Yummy food as always. Love Larry's new toaster! Love the happy ending about Grettel. Chickens are related to the T-Rex? Amazing facts here. Have a great weekend Donna!

Nice toaster; I like the colour. The lost and found dog tale is quite moving. And that cream cheese/ Hot Pepper jelly appetizer looks great.

Happy BDay, Sloane. What fun.
Loved the dog story:)
Wonderful information on chickens. They are intelligent and I hate that they are treated so cruelly by so many of the large chicken industries.

The story of Gretel touches my heart. Oh all he lost animals are seen by the lord. But the way to heaven sometimes ist very hard.. The information about chicken is great! I have chicken on my small ranch sinde many years and I made amazing lessons.
My sweet Sloane! Such an adventure! The icecream is necessary after such funny sports in the water!
Many greetings and blessings to you and to your great family from Dori from the Bavarian Forest

Kids and their honest, instant reviews—gotta love it! 😄 So glad she found something she enjoyed after (the corny dog and ham sound like a win). It’s all about finding what works, one flavor trial at a time. Thanks for sharing this sweet—and funny—moment.

What a wonderful birthday party. Loved it all. That's always nice to find a good breakfast place to eat at. The biscuits sound amazing. Interesting about the rooster. We had to move from a house a few years back because the roosters crowed LOUD next door, and not just in the morning, but during the day. It was an awful time for sure. That's a neat toaster, and love the color.

I have never had egg drop soup before. Your bowl of soup looks delicious, but there is just something about egg in soup that is an appealing to me.
