Spring...Babies and Bring my own?

Good morning, Friends!
Hope you all are doing great...or at least are staying well and smiling.
This month is nearing its end!  The year is really flying by.  We've had our usual amount of doctor visits... eating out and visits from the grands.  We've not done anything really exciting... Larry did drive me to my favorite quilt shop.  Then I started another quilt project.

Kept greatgran Lottie on Saturday.  Her mom Samantha and her mom, Crystal, (our daughter), went to Sam's salon and colored Crystal's hair.  They took Sloane with them and I kept little Lottie.
As you can see...Gamma was all into teaching her what good television is all about!  lol

Our Miss Sloane

Hey!!  Remember the seed company I told you about?  Well, I received my packet the other day!  SO quick!  Hopefully, they will grow in this area.
We have a yard man who gave us a quote for laying two long beds in the front of the house. $1294.00 for laying out and planting the beds.  I texted him back telling him we like the price and to go ahead with the project.  Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Truth!!

Larry had spaghetti and meatballs...

I made eggs, bacon and toast...

Our after-church lunch...I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with fried okra...so good!

Can you believe this?  Two Cokes...$8 Dollars??  And some sour cream (picture an American quarter + a dime!)  I'm not kidding.  So now... IF I know ahead of time that we're going to a Taco Tuesday, I'll bring my own sour cream in a small snap container... And??  I love sour cream but am unwilling to pay $2 dollars for a scant amount!  8 ounces here in town cost $1.24...!!!  So... I'll bring my own!  And... $8 dollars for 2 cokes???  Water with lemon wedges from now on!  We're not cheapskates butttt...that's not going to fly.

I made an egg breakfast sandwich...with bacon.

You have to keep up your energy while thinking of intelligent and witty things to say while writing your blog! lol

Well, I suppose that's about it for this time...We are really sort of boring lately...but I think "no news is good news".  Larry is still waiting on his new CnC machine to arrive...the company keeps pushing the arrival time ahead.
So... stay well and warm or cool wherever you are!
Until next time....

Such a lovely post...well, except for the $8 cokes and $2 side of sour cream. Prices are soaring wherever we live. Loved the picture of Lottie watching my favorite TV show. I bet I can even tell you which episode that was...if memory serves me correctly, that was the day that Aunt Bea came to live with Andy and Opie. :)
I love fried Okra!

Hahaha on the old fridge. Yes, no on the sour cream but you got the wrong person here. I am on a no spend and don't eat out. When I meet up with a friend for lunch I bring my own. We eat in the car anyway. But the prices to eat out for something I can make WAY better is a big fat NO.

And I'm seeing more and more people fighting back and saying no. Voting with their dollar.

I feel like places are pushing things too far. Too far with the tipping, too far with the prices and some folks are finally saying, nope. I am not buying that anymore.

That includes me.

PS: I will be buying a new Creative Grids in April.

Yikes! The price of drinks and the sour cream! That's nuts. I hope it was a really good meal for those charges. Everyone is stretching it...but c'mon! That's robbery. Happy Spring! Exciting to get some new garden beds!

I love fried okra, and okra and tomatoes stewed together, okra in field peas. We were raised on it but I did not like to cut it, from the stalks. Daddy grew our food. the food looks delish and that is HIGH and will go higher because of the gas prices.. can't wait to see your flower bed and the butterflies that will come

PS.. my grandmother, my mothers mother, was addicted to coca cola. she bought 6 crates at a time, and I never saw her without a cigarette and a coke... from the time she got up until bed time. she was dressed in a flapper wedding dress in 1923 when she married, and all the women were smoking then. Lottie looks interested in Andy and I love that show. All of our eye doctors and some other doctors have that running on their TV everytime we go
