The Whole Book?

Geez! With all the talk about books...I found this Wonderful little read in the same section of the bookstore that I found Harry Potter, all those years ago. Princess Ben was a Really fun read! In fact, from 3:30pm yesterday afternoon to 9:15pm last night I was a reading Fool!!LOL...Couldn't put it Down! Yes....I Finished it! Guess I was just in the mood for pure FLUFF!lolol...Poor Hubby says "Goodnight now...I'm going to bed now..." "Yeah, OK..."....I don't think I Even looked up!LOL...

It was just pure, magical fun. I was SO Bad! I didn't even visit my bloggie buddies (hangs head in shame).......Tonight though, Hubby has to go help his Dad put a roof on a building he built...(he's 82)...so I guess I'll get in the kitchen and make a Zucchini Quiche for supper. When he gets in, all I have to do is heat it back up in the microwave. I'll get pictures and post the recipe on my cooking blog. Ya'll have a wonderful day or night, where Ever you are!!

Book Review!

Catherine Gilbert Murdock has “always loved fairy tales, and writers’ endless reworking of fairy tales” and finds that the “tweaking reveals what really matters in the story.” It was this fascination that led to the creation of Princess Ben, which tells the story of Benevolence, sole heir to the kingdom of Montagne. When her parents are lost to unknown assassins, she finds herself under the thumb of the conniving Queen Sophia, who is intent on marrying her off as soon as possible. While locked high in a tower, Ben stumbles onto an enchanted room, where she begins her secret education in the magical arts. Her endeavors are soon cut short by a very real and mortal threat that faces the castle and the entire kingdom.
In the spirit of Gail Carson Levine’s Fairest and William Goldman’s The Princess Bride, Princess Ben is refreshing new fractured fairy tale that will be welcomed by fantasy lovers everywhere.

Donna - I love to read - little mini vacations for me - when I am in a book - I AM IN A BOOK!!
I have never read much fantasy or sci-fi - I love drama, suspense and mysteries.
I am in a small book club that my daughter started and we are reading Cold Sassy Tree by Olive Ann Burns right now - it was my pick. Just good ole story!!
Looking forward to that quiche.

Oh a fractured Fairy Tale, my very favorite kind...my son Michael bought the book "Princess Bride" before he was ever married or even thought about a wife...he was already thinking about a daughter or son that he would read it to...he's read it to Arianna several times already...she'll be 9 on the 28th!

Hi Donna,

I've been finding some wonderful summer books also. I love it when you get so involved in a book you can't do anything else to you finish it. It's a great thing and a good book when that happens. Have a good evening.

The last time I read a book through like that was when I read the Boston Strangler for the first time. I gotta have murder and mayhem, or at least a little horror to keep my attention. :-)
