Hot and Wet Equals Sticky!

It's been raining off and on for several days now and with the heat, it's also steamy. That's alright though...Better this than Snow!Hahaa...Hurricane Alex has stirred all this up but this is fine as well because we really needed the rain. Thank goodness Alex turned and decided to take a vacation in Mexico....;o) Not so good for the oil blowout (notice I say blowout instead of spill? That's because this is what it Actually is...). The only good thing about it is that Maybe the high winds churned up the sludge on the ocean floor enough to bring a lot of it to the top where the ship or ships can harvest it. We need help BIGTIME and are NOT being listened to. Deals...Guess I'd best just shut up.
Hope you all have a great evening...I'm picking William (Grandson) up from daycare today so it's going to bring some "happy" and laughter to our house tonight. We need it.

Great picture! With the heat we've had this summer I think that looks like a great idea. Yes Alex has been good for our area too. Just the rain we needed but I do feel sorry for the folks down in Monterrey. I know exactly what they are going through now and it's not fun!
Happy Fourth!

Is that dog really lying in a pile of ICE? That's incredible! Javier would cringe at the very thought. And you're so right ... The One isn't doing near enough to help the denizens of the Gulf states get this mess cleaned up. Oh well ... *whistling* ... we'll get the hope and change we really need ... in 2012. HAPPY WEEKEND, HAPPY FOURTH, and have all kinds of fun with that darling grandson!

The dog on ice is the cutest thing.

Hope your fourth is wonderful. I can't even think about the oil explosion. It's the most horrible thing.

I sure hope they figure out that oil mess soon.
We've had a few cooler days here recently but the weekend is supposed to heat up.
Enjoy your weekend.

Lets see, I will have the bulldog, on the rocks please. My dog loves to eat ice. When one can dig less than 6 inches on the beach at the Exxon disaster and still find sludge makes me wonder how they think it will ever clean up on the gulf.

Love the picture. It is classic.
We are getting the much needed rain too from Alex. Veggies are growing like crazy; so are the weeds.

I will not get started on the oil blowout. Zip across my mouth; err, fingers.

That pup has the right idea!

I hope God is kind during this hurricane season and keeps those storms out of the gulf until that mess can be plugged up and cleaned up.
