Well, It's Gone....

Alright! No wiseguy comments!Lol...I got it ALL cut off! About a month ago. We will Not go into a lot of details about the initial beauty parlor trip but, suffice it to say, I was Less than thrilled. But, it grows fast so...I've had TWO appointments since then getting the First cut job repaired. I've finally found a lady that knows what she's doing. All the hair that was cut the First time, at least, was donated to Locks of Love, an organization that fixes hair then gives it to children with cancer. I feel good about that! And, the short style has grown on me. It's SO much cooler and easier to fix. Guess I need to get me some big bangle hoop earrings...maybe some bells...pluck the old eyebrows...a little makeup wouldn't hurt...geez...Hahaaa... Crystal freaked out and Hubby just stared at me...with a lopsided grin. I give up. I'm keeping it short. Hope you all have a Great weekend!!

Nice contribution!Never let mine get that long, but have experienced some bad barbers.I used to have one guy who would wave me in when he was slow and charge a dollar a minute. Kept pretty spiffy then.My present guy is 84 so sometimes it is good and sometimes not so.Great chat while there and my praises to a guy still working at his age.

it looks good on you -- but i also have to admit - i may have had a 'lopsided look' - for a second too.
just cuz i have only seen a couple photos of you - and only with long hair.

locks of love is a great organization.. good for you! usually kids get that hair - so you prolly made two or three very happy with your donation !

anyhow -- i have always worn my hair short -- at least since after high school - due to jobs and other reasons , so i do know about the ease and coolness of it. the longest i get it these days in around my shoulders- then it has to go- i feel strangled when it gets around my neck :((

anyhow- thanks for the advice -- i may go that route - or not. i honestly don't know what to do at this point. (sigh)

hugs lady -

I love it, too! I wish I had the nerve to cut mine off...it would be so much easier!

It looks great. I always have such a hard time finding someone who can cut my hair the way I like it. I found one lady and the next time I went back she wasn't there any more.

Looks great.....And short is easier...

Donna said...

Oh I LOVE it!!!!!! I went to a short length at the end of my 20s and never looked back. It's so much easier to take care of! (P.S. Marty gives it 4 paws up!)

My Mom just went short after having basically the same style my entire life. I didn't know if I like it at first, but its growing on me!
I'm not brave enough to cut mine off...maybe one day. Have a great weekend!!!

Hahaa...I didn't have the Choice! The lady didn't cut it the way I asked..Oh well, it grows!

It looks absolutely fabulous! I'm sure you will never regret it.

Once you go with a short cut, it will be hard to ever go back to long. Short hair needs cutting more often, but it sure does feel good on these hot summer days.

Your new 'do' looks great!!!!! Good to hear the long hair will be used for children with cancer....

I think it's beautiful! I've been thinking of getting all mine cut off again. I once donated hair to Pantene's program for older women who lost their hair to cancer... 12 inches cut off. With the summer heat, short hair would be so nice. Your hair really does look wonderful!

Hugs!

Right on Donna! I think you look fantastic, plus I know short hair in Texas just feels better too.

VERY cute! Short hair is much cooler and easier for sure. Yes, get some pretty earrings to complement that pretty hair!

Donna, your new hairstyle is very cute. It will keep you cooler that's for sure.

BTW, thanks for stopping by. It's been a long time since I've been on .... had some problems downloading photos to my blog but it looks like everything is back to normal.

I just found your blog so I don't know what you looked like before but this looks great on you! I can relate though, my hair grows SLOW and I've been growing it out for YEARS! I went for a trim and the girl cut off 6-7 inches! And it looks more unhealthy and unshapely so it's not likes she fixed it up or anything...I still need to get it "styled" because right now it just hangs and does nothing, I can't really wear it down and have it look good anymore...ugh....It's been a month and I still get depressed when I see girls with hair the length mine WAS which took me so long to acheive...maybe in 3 years it will be back to where it was :(

Looks great! Sorry that the first cut wasn't quite up to par! But as you said it does grow and you did find someone to fix it!
