Another Day, Another Dollar

Well, here's another progress report. The hotel is beautiful And Very expensive! Can you believe two crepes, two cokes for $28 bucks? I'm not cheap but This is ridiculous!! Hubby's seminars are here at The Paris and he needed to be here otherwise we'd be down on the Strip...Hahaa... I can only post one photo at a time on this program I'm using, so I will do a better post when I get home. Hope you all are well and behaving yourselves!! Be safe!

Trip Update from my IPhone

Just a quick note to say we are now in Flagstaff, Arizona. We were a bit concerned when we first crossed into AZ that it was going to be a "barron" ride with nothing but... Nothing!Lol... Not so... Sedona was a beautiful surprise!
Went shopping for earrings and came away with earrings and Chocolate! Good stuff too! Tomorrow, we're headed to the Grand Canyon then onward to Las Vegas. Hope the photo comes out clear.

Do I Look Like A Moron?

Ask me...Go ahead and just ASK me how my day went. We have been waiting for five days for our new refridgerator to arrive...as you can see, cobwebs have grown and a Wicked Witch has been flying around me today. So, What Now Donna??? (I KNOW this is your question) WELLLLLLL........Hahahaaaa......Short Version is: When we bought the fridge, I paid for a NEW one, right? Right! I'm not even going to talk about all of yesterday's phone calls from me trying to verify the delivery for today....geeeez. Anyway, this morning two young men deliver the fridge...pull it off the truck, take doors off and haul it into the house. Then they have to attach the water line to the ice maker, and turn the said icemaker On. One tech says to the Other tech, "I don't know! Look in the BOOK!" The Other tech says, "There ISN'T a book!"

Ever hear something that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck??? I was around the corner in the playroom listening to this exchange....I hear the words...I'm out of my chair and in the kitchen...GLARING! I say..."What do you Mean, there's NO BOOK?"

NO book taped to the back...

NO book taped somewhere inside...

NO book taped to Either young man's heads...nothing...nada.

OK, I PAID for a new one...I WAITED for five days to take delivery....Hummmm...something Stinks in Denmark! And I know what it is......FLOOR DISPLAY is sitting in my kitchen! Complete with a DENT on the front door!

Looking calmly at the young men, I informed them that from this point on, Anything that I say is NOT to be taken personally and I am Very aware that they are Not to blame for my rising anger. They say "Yes Mam, we do..."

Several dark and malicious words were said...couldn't have been ME saying these things! NoNo...wudden Me! )(Techs dialing phones Rapidly) Well, I'm a little blurry on the details....BUT, here's how it ended!

I keep the said FLOOR DISPLAY until Saturday MORNING (because I refuse to kill another workday). Then I get the REAL Refrigerator...The NEW and PAID for one. Complete with an added Warranty of five years (bringing total to Nine yrs warranty) paid for by Lowes.

Hubby took me to Lowes after I got back to the shop and told him they had taken our money and figured we wouldn't notice we were being given a USED one! Makes me wonder how many other people do not realise this happens! IF there's NO BOOK...Start asking BIG questions! Take a GOOD look at your new appliance!

Mr Lowes Manager was very kind to us...Now, he's Straightening out things with his employees....He's new and needs to "set his tone" with his people....Heheheeee....

This saga is not yet over....We await Saturdays blooming morn....

Wishing We Were in Our RV...Hahaaa

I've always liked Drew Barrymore and can somehow relate to her story. Although...she Does say "like" WAY too much.... I was rummaging around on someones blog and saw this. It's cute if you want a laugh today...
Well, we made it through the weekend. Kept Will, The Thrill, grandson, Saturday night. Lets see...a shopping trip to Toys R Us for some Legos...Watched three movies (Karate Kid, The Prince of Persia and Ironman 2) while Will built some jet fighter thingy...he's male and mechanical. I do good to brush my teeth in the mornings. Anyway, we got lots of sugars...had lots of giggles and throughly enjoyed ourselves. He's a fun date! Somehow though, it's now Monday and I'm at my desk, here at work...Again! Couldn't go to the bank, and won't be getting any mail because it's Columbus Day...so...guess I'll wait for Ken to get back from lunch, pack up Will (no school today either so he's here at the office while Crystal works) and head to the house. Is it laundry day again??? Hope you all are having a Happy day...It'll be Wednesday before we know it!

It Never Fails....What's Next and Where's the Tin Foil?

I have been vindicated! Aliens Do Exist because Finally, the Mainstream Media Says it's SO!!Hahahaaaa.....well, they have! It's been Constantly in the news...China's airports keep getting shut down by them...I think I was abducted as well! This has been a WEEK!!!

I'll bet you're wondering where the heck I've been...or not. Well...I've been crashing computers at work and causing refrigerators here at home to heave the last sigh. I like Quickbooks, I Really do, BUT, updating to the newest version is a CONSTANT headache! Last year, Somehow I managed to update to the 2010 version with the help of our office mgr., Ken. But THIS year...the 2011 update was a nightmare! The Server crashed! Oh yeah...Long story short...The Computer Guy is Very thankful for people like me! $$$

THEN!!!! Our refrigerator corked out sometime in the night. Water all over the floor. Hubby and I were flinging stuff out to our drink refrigerator in the playroom (ALWAYS have a back-up plan)! So while the Computer Guy was heaving and sighing (with a slight smile on his face), Hubby and I went shopping. Samsung was singing my song at $1817....omg...and That was after I reminded the clerk that there was a 20% discount on today! ALL refrigerators were WAY overpriced!! So, after Hubby picked me up off the floor, we decided on a delivery date of next Tuesday. Oh yes, I stopped and bought a bag of ice...Do Not scream at me about not buying American! I TRIED!! Right now, and I Hate to say it But, they're Crap! GE, Frigadaire, Whirlpool...all junky...most of the inards are made in China Anyway! You can't win.

So, this looks like the one we bought. I Really like it. Hubby wanted the bottom freezer and I wanted the french doors. I am now finally home trying to reflect on just Where I went wrong at the beginning of this week.....haven't a friggin' clue! SO, if you will excuse me, I need to get in the kitchen and find the tin foil....I feel I may need a new hat....Have a Wonderful night or day...
