Odd....

What a weird thing it is, growing on my rosebush, in front of my shop! An orange rose off of a yellow rosebush! There are hundreds of yellow ones and the oddball orange sticking out like a sore thumb...Hahaaa....Does this mean it's going to eventually turn completely orange? I had a white rose bush growing at home...It had been putting forth white blooms for the last five years...now ALL the blooms are blood RED! What Gives? Is it all that dispersant they dumped on the oil blowout in the Gulf that has floated northward? It has absolutely destroyed the Gulf and had a devastating effect on all wildlife and plant life down there...of course the Media has stopped talking about it...naturally. Oh well...hard times are indeed ahead of us so I guess I'll find something that I CAN take care of...Coffee....I feel a pot coming on...Happy day everyone!

Do you live near a nuclear reactor?

LOL

Hey you know what's funny, Donna? "Adam and Even" was a TYPO and I kid you not, I've been tweaking and correcting that post for hours! YOU saw it when I'd stared right at it too many times to count! LOLOL I think I'm brain dead.

But you gave me an idea. I changed it to Adam and Get Even, which I think is very appropriate indeed.

Happy hump day, luv!

Maybe radiation blowing in from Japan? You never know!

Ha! It's still pretty! I had a creamy white rose bush that turned red.

Happy day to you!

odd but lovely all the same.
Better stock up on coffee, I hear the prices are about to skyrocket. One store in our area is already selling the big can of coffee for
$19.99

I wondered if it might be growth from the rootstock. Either way,we know what one of the parents was to make the initial color.

Ann, Hahaaa... I have 23 cans stored already! Saw this a while back! It's only going to get worse!

I bet the orange was a surprise! I think it is very pretty. BTW, I'm glad I'm not a coffee drinker.

It could be the result of grafting or cross-pollination. Or else the plants are just messing with you! LOL...

Odd but very unique! I love it! And I agree with Donna, the plants are probably messin' with ya.

Maybe they're reverting to their natural color for some reason? Hybridization losing hold?

I adore roses and particularly roses on bushes outside.

Happy day to you, Donna.

Poor little thing just has an identity crisis, Miss Donna! *hehe* But it is such a beautiful color, the little oddball....
The last line of your post scared me for a second- I thought you said you felt like "some pot" coming on! Just stick with the coffee, dear! hehehaha

Strange but gorgeous!

I think rose bushes just like to "show off," so they intentionally do things like this to confuse people. From all the posts you have on here about it, obviously, it's working. LOL

I have never seen this before - kinda strange.

That is strange, but pretty!

Glad I only drink one cuppa in the morning; crystal light the rest of the day. Okay, I'm leaving now. LOL

well I'm loving that orange rose. it's beautiful. I'm thinking it's most likely a cane growing from below the graft. in any case, the fact that you're able to grow such gorgeous roses, no matter the color, is awesome Donna! they look so healthy and plentiful. have a great weekend my friend. {{{hugs}}}

I love the orange! Now I'm focused on buying coffee. It is going up at a rapid rate. I need to stock up on that and sugar!

It is lovely. We had one that was almost that dark last year and it was growing off our light yellow one. I love it.
