What a Week...

These are some photos of the fire that wiped out the town of Bastrop, Texas. There were lots more but you get the idea. 1400 homes, people we know and lots that we don't. Horrible. The town is about 70 miles south of us. We also have fires just north of us...30, 40 miles...you can smell the smoke in the air. The ones north of us, they think teens set them. I pray God deals with them....Please keep Texas in your prayers. I also see Pennsylvania is suffering with the flooding...On and On. Hope you are safe and sound where ever you are!
I Also ask for prayers to be sent to Miz Brenda of Whats Up Down South. James, her husband, suddenly passed away Wednesday. He was only 59. If you want her address, please email me.
So much prayer needed lately....It's also 9/11 weekend...10 years.
Try to enjoy your weekend. Just be watchful. Sorry for such a downer post...I've had such an Awful time getting Blogger to post anything!! Anybody else having the same problem? You hit Publish and it just sits there...uggggg

It is unbelievable the destruction that Texas has had to endure this year with the fires. And the feds won't provide disaster assistance either. My heart breaks for those who have lost so much.

Yes, I need Brenda's address. I looked to see if I had it and I don't. Will zip you an e-mail shortly.

Oh,Donna! This seems very bad!
How horrible it is! I am glad it isn't just in your place, but still it is sad for the people who are in it.
It also was sad to hear that miz Brenda,s husband has passed away.
I feel sorry for her!
I understand that prayers is needed, and me too will mention her before the Lord. And Texas as well.
I wish you all good! God bless. Big hug.:)

Will keep them in my prayers. We went through this in 2005. We were able to save our house by fighting the fire all day. We lost all of our out buildings and the north end of our house caught twice. We are still not completely recovered.

The fires are just devastating and the folks starting these fires should be held accountable. So sorry to hear about Miz Brenda's husband.
I haven't tried posting much this week, but have had issues commenting.

So aweful Donna! What is wrong with people purposely doing that! Crazy that we have too much rain and you all not enough. Dark days but we have to keep our heads and spirits up. {{HUGS}}

Hpw grimmly sad. Fire and smoke is deadly and makes life tough on humans and animals alike.

Oh Donna I did not know about this, I'm so sorry I was so selfish, from now on Texas and you all are in my prayers too, that fire looks so terrible. I'm watching 9/11 memorial on Discovery channel,I still remember that day, I was in shock when I saw the second plane crash the other tower.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all, a big big hug Donna

Glad you are okay. I was wondering if the fires were near you. Thinking of all those who have suffered this year from natural disasters. It has been the worst!
