Hard to believe it's been 70 years.
In a group yesterday, it was interesting to see who could identify the next calender holiday.Under 30 hardly any clue.
So sad to hear about the man that was to speak at the gathering and died before...
Thank you for remembering...I was only 4, so my WWII memories don't include that. But I have memories, later. But my husband was 8. He was playing and listening to the radio, and heard it. He didn't know exactly what it was. BUT HE KNEW IT WAS BAD!He had to convince family to come listen. Then they all knew. It was bad.Gentle hugs...
