Do You Know?

Anyone have any idea what kind of grasshopper this is? When Hubby and I went to San Antonio a few weeks back, these things were Everywhere! They're migrating from the South...moving North. They're prettier than just the typical green species but they seem to be coming up in droves! And they especially seem to like the tasty Pin Oak leaves...sigh.
What next?
Hubby and I didn't do much this past weekend...GranSon William spent the night on Friday and Crystal and I went to a baby shower on Saturday...I hope you all had a more interesting time of it!Hahaaa....Enjoy the beginning of a new week!

I have no idea what kind of grasshopper that is. Interesting looking little guy, though! Your weekend sounds as exciting as mine was!

He's a crab grasshopper; look at his legs. NO, I don't know!! :)

Have a grand, wonderful day sweet lady friend! ((hugs))

he's a beauty of a grasshopper, but no, I have no clue as to what kind he is. Do you suppose that is what the planes were dusting for? I hope it isn't the case that they completely defoliate Pin Oak trees. let's hope for the best, and appreciate the colors he's wearing!
happy day to you Donna. {{{hugs}}}

EeeeeeEEEEeeeek! The only good grasshopper is one that cuts the grass! I'm not sure I want to go to San Antonio ever again if there are swarms of those things there!

He is colorful but I do not, not, not like the sound of them migrating North, in droves. Or of them being so interested in a certain tree. UGH!

That is one colorful grasshopper. I wonder what's is making them move north.

That's a great picture, Donna, though I don't know what sort of hopper he is!

Hope your weekend was lovely.

Good photo but a little bit creepy.

That's a crazy looking hopper, but very colorful! I just don't need more bugs in my life, pretty or not. I've been having spider issues, some sneaking inside, and some dropping on me when I've been outside too! Icky!

That is a very different grasshopper! I haven't seen one like that here in the south either...

I am reminded of how much I dislike bugs! Especially the extra-large variety!
