I Love books...All sorts of books! I have bookshelves all over the house filled with books...but do I read them??Hahaaa...Almost...all of them! You can never have too many.
With this photo, I just added a little texture in Photoshop. THAT took me almost an hour!! I rarely add textures to my photos so there was quite a lot of gnashing of teeth...Hahaaa...but I finally got it to work.
Thanks Brenda for this challenge! Just reminds me that if you don't USE it...you LOOSE it!
For more fun shots, go HERE. If they haven't posted their photos yet, keep checking back...they will. Have a great weekend!

Kind of a nice photo. Keep on keeping on, eh?
Great photo, Donna. Thanks for the reminder; I'll try to come up with something. :)
No fair on the texturing. -pout- I'm a book lover and I love, love, love to read the titles, on someone else's book shelves.
And the texturing, makes that difficult. -pout-

Greetings from a fellow book-lover. We have 12 x 6 feet tall book cases in this house as we had to get rid of some when we moved here, and I agree that you can never have too many!
Well done on persevering with the texture - I often have battles with photo processing software :O)
I agree! You can never have too many books! Love that shot!! Why didn't I think of my cookbooks?
Thanks Guys!
Hope you all have a great Weekend!!

Oh, this would have been the perfect photo challenge for me! I have hundreds of books. Just like you, I love them! I also love your photo, and the texture you added looks great!
Lovely collection, I like your Better homes cookbooks.A standard in my collection always.i taught reading fo a few years so had a big collection.
I have tons and tons of books!!! My husband keeps telling me to clean them out and get rid of them...but that hasn't happened yet! I do buy alot of my magazines online though! Love reading them on my ipad instead of carrying around a stack of magazines!!
Beautiful picture!
Sue.
A nice collection of books and the texture looks great. Is there anyone that doesn't have the Better Homes and Gardens cook book?
Books are a treasure, that's for sure.
Good looking photo!!
I love the look of this photo! The texture is super. When will you teach us this? :-)
I'm sorry I didn't post, I thought I had another week. I've had a very, LONG, exhausting, week.
I was gifted a Kindle two years ago and initially read loads of books because it was so handy. Since then, I've found that I prefer to hold the book in hand, owning it, if only for the time I read it and then passing it along. I love used books. You have loads of cookbooks there! happy week to you Donna. {{{hugs}}}
Thanks for visiting Donna...sorry I didn't have my BOOK post up then...it is now!
Love this photo...just a great one with the texture, but I do agree with "Aunty" ...I couldn't read all the titles!
There's nothing quite so mouth-watering as a shelf full of books! And I really, really like what you did to the photo. Beautiful.
Oooooh~ that's a neat photo effect, Miss Donna! I love me some books too!
I love your corner library! And you did a texture! Good girl, LOL! All you have to do is drag it over the image and then make adjustments with the blending modes and opacity. Textures are such fun!
I love the texture effect on this photo. I'm like you - so many books, so little time! When we decided to go full-time on the road in our RV, we donated 650 books to the library! AND we still boxed up several of them, too! Now we have settled into a condo and are just starting to unpack said boxes. I'd like my husband to build some shelves once we buy the condo that we are renting.
