A Horizontal Mood...

Granddaughter Sam in our hotel room killing time before bed in our hotel room in Plano, Texas.  Gampa and I brought her so she could attend a seminar for her job.  The highways are AWFUL!  SO crowded!  She would have gotten lost...I know I would have!  Thank goodness for Gampa!

That's Dallas on the left...on our way to Plano.

Pizza at Paleo's in Plano...Super good stuff!

                                                            Shrimp at Pappadeaux's.....

Meeting high school friends last week at Golden Corral in Waco, Texas....Lordy!  Where did the last 50 or so years GO??
A Zebra cake I made to carry to a friends house for "after supper" snacking.

Crystal (daughter) left a snarky comment on the last post I did so I thought I'd best get in here and say Something!  I truly am not avoiding blogging but I can't seem to find my motivation these days...Seems like there's one horrible thing after another happening here in the States and I just can't seem to find my "happy"....I'm really trying but it seems like I would feel better if Obama would answer his friggin' phone!Hahaa....
Oh well...We did get to visit with old time friends we went to school with...that was fun.  And taking Sami to Plano got us out of Waco for a few days...maybe Thanksgiving will perk me up...or November elections...yep...capturing the House AND the Senate will definitely help my mood...
SO...until Crystal screams at me for not posting, I'll be on my way to check on all of you!

I don't care how often you post, but I'm always glad to see you when it happens.

Donna, yes this crazy world is a mess but we cannot let it take away from our every day opportunity to be happy. I learn most of what I know, though, from you and that's a good thing. I'm sorry I'm not as cognizant as others about what's going on, and I guess that makes me sound stupid. And, I hope you don't take offence at what I said. I love you, you know that, right?

I wondered where that was in the pic of Sami when I saw it on FB. She's so beautiful; I know she was thrilled that you all took her.

That food? I don't really like you much right this moment. :)

xoxo

Sometimes I blog and sometimes I don't. It's all good. :) Traffic may have been bad in Dallas but the food looks yummy. And your Zebra cakes looks like it's to die for!

Hey remember the song - I'll cry if I want to - well we're big girls now and one thing we can do is blog when we want too - because we are older and wiser and I mean no disrespect (I say this from a sick bed and I may be grumpy) but really isn't that the freedom of being older - do what you want when you want? (I mean that in a Godly fashion too!).

I enjoyed seeing all your outings and how sweet to do that for your granddaughter!

You've made me seriously hungry with all those food pictures.
I don't think you're the only who's lost their blogging motivation. There seems to be a lot of that going around. Don't push it, when it feels right you'll post and we'll be here to read

Don't worry about the blogging. It's supposed to be fun, so don't do it unless it is for you. :) It will come. Or not.

Well girl you sure are missed when you're not around, but we understand. Now, that pizza looks incredible, and don't get me started on the zebra cake. Sami as always is so cute and that was a very good call, getting Gampa to do the heavy lifting! A road trip is always an elixir. Well almost always. xoxo

Yep, I'd feel better, too, if Obama answered his phone. I'd give him an ear full.

Oh, Donna....I do know what you mean about having trouble finding your happy. It's hard dealing with everything that is going on! Love the photos of your trip....especially the food. Wow! I am SOOO hungry now! :-) I'd love it if you posted more often, but I do understand.

I've had trouble getting back to blogging for ages. I do miss it, but life just keeps getting in the way. I'm hoping things are going to settle down now. At least I'm finding time this morning to catch up with you! That's something anyway! Big Hugs to you! :D
