The Highlands and...Men

Good morning... just checking in.  We took my sister Ruth Ann, in for her PET Scan (Positron Emission Tomography) so the Doctor could see if, after her emergency surgery, any cancer cells leaked into any other areas of her body.  We hopefully will see results sometime this week...she has a follow up appointment with her cancer specialist on Friday.

On a lighter note, the young man in the above photo is the son of our friends in Salterforth, England.  Hope that's right...Brits have unusual addresses, not like Stateside. (that's them in the background). Anyway, long story short, they were married somewhere in Scotland.  They both dance with the Highland dance group that was so popular several years back...can't think of the name. They still dance with the group (that's how they met) fell in love and had a gorgeous Highland wedding.  I absolutely adore her dress!

More mundanely...The grocer gave me two miniture rose bushes for $1.99 each!  They were near dead, but I revived them, and they'll be ready to plant soon.

Samantha and Sloane

SO TRUE!Lolol  Eggs are priced out of sight here!

My guy before some household training from yours truly...lol
So, try to enjoy your week...I'll post again when I know more.
hugs
Donna

Oooh, that wedding must have been amazing! Wouldn't that be fun to go to?

That little Sloane is a DOLL! She looks so happy.

Thanks for the chuckles today. It's been a bad week. Lost our kitty, Hobbes. I'm okay, but little laughs here and there certainly help.

FYI...I can catch a chicken.

Praying for good results for Ruth Ann.
I love that wedding pic! The brides dress is gorgeous, the groom so handsome in the kilt. I'm a big fan of Scottish anything...
Sloane gets cuter every day. That smile!
Good for you for bringing those roses back.
I'm not a great chicken lady, I'm in trouble...

How cool. A highland wedding.

That dress is beautiful.
Sloane is such a little cutie.
Both Wade and the ex husband were physically capable of taking their own plate to the kitchen but both expected gold medal for doing so.

One of our local grocery stores had marked down flowers/plants for years. I'm sorry to see that they just throw slightly wilted things away.
That wedding photo is great. What beautiful couple! Another beauty is little Sloane! So cute.

I love my visit here with you!! The wedding photo was amazing! My daughter Amber and her husband lived in Scotland for a year and loved it! We stayed with the the entire of December in 2009. We loved the Highland music and all things Scotland!!!

My Louis Dean doesn't know how to put a dish in the dishwasher!! He IS good at making messes and as he likes to say - "At least I am good at SOMETHING!!"

To think you area related to that Scottish wedding couple - red hair - they were gorgeous and I loved the dress better than I have seen anything here. I love different.
The baby is BEAUTIFUL.
And you have a green thumb - mine is black. lol
And I had quite a chuckle with your cartoons.

I hope everything is alright with your sister after the surgery. That is the coolest photo of your friend's wedding. Love the dress, and his outfit too. My kids are all part Scottish on their father's side. Oh, your roses made it! Looks like a pretty color too. Oh Sloane, you are the cutest baby, and you make me smile when I see you. That second photo is so soft and pretty of Samantha. The eggs at the stores here are around $7, but in some areas they're $10. Can't wait til they go back down again.

Have a pleasant weekend, Donna.

Oh mercy I loved that character in Lonesome Dove, with the chicken under her arm. She was really something. Unless I misremember. xoxo

I'm late visiting, but I sure enjoyed it. I laughed about the chicken catching wife. Too funny! The groom is so handsome in his highland gear. May the newlyweds have a blessed and happy marriage.
