Color, Birthdays, Projects and Favicons...

Good morning, Friends!
Just checking in with you.

This is the photo of our Sloane, that we love so much, but in color.  I've been working on several of Larry's wood projects, trying to finish them up before her birthday party, on Saturday.

I had printed and inserted the One Year slot with the black and white photo, but something wasn't right about the look of it!  So, when Samantha finally gave me the colored one...it just made the whole board pop with color.  That small brown line above each photo is just a shadow...I was in too big a hurry.

This is the photo board our daughter, Sloane's grandmother (Lolli), asked us to make for the party but also for her to carry home.  I'll be giving Samantha (Sloane's Mom) the pink photo board above, to keep.

Question!
How many of you had, or has, a problem with your Favicon not showing up when you post a comment on some other blog?  I have the problem, off and on once in a while.  The Favicon is your personal "calling card", (photo) to, in an instant, make your comment recognizable to the blogs host.  And other commenters, as well.  Mine is a pink rose.  I've had it for 16 years and I could never figure out why it wouldn't show up, at times, when I'd leave a comment!  Was I signed in? Yes...so...What I discovered was a simple fix that I came across mainly because I wasn't paying attention!  If you are having the same problem, on your blog, go to:
Design...Settings...Go all the way to the bottom...Click on User Profile...The third heading down is, Profile Photo!  Do you see your Favicon, or Photo?  No?  Reload it!  Simple...
Now my Pink Rose is, once again, showing up when I leave comments.
When Blogger does their updates, for whatever reason, it can knock out the Favicon photo.  Just make a note to check it first if your Favicon doesn't show up when commenting.
It's the Devil in the Details!

;o)

Since it was my birthday on the 9th, my 72nd, Larry took me to our favorite place for tacos.

We were going on Wednesday but since I had to be at Ruth Ann's doctor appointment, we went a day early (ended up on Taco Tuesday! Discount!).  Her appointment is with the colorectal surgeon to see when and if, she can have her re-attachment surgery. We were gone most of the day trying to attend to and arranging her appointments...test.

Ruth Ann, waiting to see the Doctor...

Her doctor graduated high school when he was 12 years old....then went on to college, then medical school.  He's one sharp cookie; we really like him.  The painting above is of Jesus helping a doctor with his work...it's huge and beautiful...his whole office is filled with gorgeous Christian paintings!

Well , I guess that's about it for me this week.  Our daughter Crystal will be coming to town today to help Sami get ready for Sloane's birthday party on Saturday.  I'll be watching Sloane for a little while so they can go shopping.
Hope you all are having a peaceful and happy week.  The weekend is here again!  Be safe and until next time...

What did we ever do in doctor's waiting rooms before cell phones. We used to flip through the same old magazines and tap our feet in impatience. Ruth Ann looks very calm.

Happy 1st birthday to Sloane! Those photo boards are beautiful-I know they will be special keepsakes for her mom and gran. Glad Ruth Ann has such a wonderful doctor-especially since he is a believer. Those plates of tacos look very familiar-Rosa's is one of our favorite places too!

Sloane is so adorable. I love the idea of showing each month of their first year. They did the same for Daniel at his party last saturday.

Happy Birthday to you. The taco's look delicious. We had taco's at Daniels party. Catered and good!

Been a busy week with Doctor appointments. Haven't had much time on the computer.

Hugs, Wanda

Great post Donna! Happy Birthday to Sloane and a Happy Birthday to you too, even though I am a bit late. Loved the photo collection arrangement, more treasures for the memory box. The doctor sounds amazing and the painting is incredible! I hope your sister gets a good report. Thanks for the tip on the favicon. I haven’t had a problem yet but I will remember this when I do. The sea salt, the cornbread and the birthday lady gave me a chuckle. As for the food, yum! A great way to celebrate your birthday. Have a wonderful time celebrating sweet Sloane today!

I haven't had that problem with Little Whisk popping up. I do hear that many are having this issue. I'm still having comments going into spam though. Glad you found a fix.

Their cornbread .... lololololl .... not done in the middle. lolololol.

That's a hoot!

Happy Belated birthday to you, Donna! I love the pink flower!

The doctor in the picture is Kevin Costner. Just saying, haaahaha! Ruth Ann looks like she has accepted this time in her life with grace and gratitude. Good for her and again, I'm so glad she has you and Larry. A belated but no less sincere and heartfelt HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, my dear friend! Sloane is scrumptious and those picture boards are everything. Give my love to Lolli, hahaaha! xoxo

Donna just adore that photo of Sloane...saw the black and white in your previous post but I agree the colored one just makes this photo board pop! I have seen a similar painting in a doctor's office but it takes place in the surgical room with Jesus guiding the physician's hands. Always wonderful when you know the doctor that is caring for you is staying connected the Great Healer...certainly builds my confidence! :)!! Hugs

Die Bilder mit Jesus im Wartezimmer des Arztes sind so toll! Heilung ist eine Teamarbeit des Arztes, des Kranken und Jesus. Nichts ohne Jesus!
