Biscuits & Gravy...Fall, Hot Chocolate and Grandparents Day

Good morning, Friends...It is unusually cool here this morning!  55degrees (about 12.8C).  Same for yesterday...cool breezes!  I got to open my windows for three straight days!  I'm loving that and Larry will love the electric bill! lolol

Been a semi-busy week...cooking, turning old crafts into new ones...also, daughter Crystal came up with hubby for Grandparents Day at Sloane's daycare on Friday.  Crys said it was their very first time being recognized for being grandparents...lol...brings back memories for Larry and myself...

Then on Saturday, Granddaughter Samantha asked if I'd like to go with her and Mom to see BeetleJuice 2...well, since we all saw the old one years ago, I said sure!  The movie was mediocre, but the time spent with the girlz, is priceless.  Love them so much...

The theater was COLD...I'll remember to wear suitable clothing, next time!  Burrrr....but the seats were heated and reclined, and no one could impair your view!  Nice!  I wouldn't take the little ones to see it!

Air fryer biscuits and gravy......so good!

Larry made some wings again...love these things!

Opening the windows after a long hot Summer...nice.

We have an attic fan, and I turned it on!  Wow...Cool breezes!

I WANT this 1950's range!  I think it was in Samantha's kitchen (Bewitched)...

The cooler weather made it a hot chocolate day! lol
Any day is hot chocolate day around here...

Have any of you seen these at Costco or Sam's Club?  I'm wanting a couple of them!

I re-decorated this jar from a Spring scented lighted jar, to a Fall pumpkin spiced one.  Smells great!

Tim & Crystal ( Lolli & Pops ) at Sloane's Grandparent recognition at the daycare...too fun.

Sloane, of course!

Well...I guess that's about it for me this week...I hope you all are doing great and are well.
Have a super week!  Until next time...

What a sweet photo of Sloane with her grandparents on their Special Recognition Day.
I could have done with using your attic fan, while we were away. Goodness I remember the show 'Bewitched'. I watched it as a child :-) And I agree, any day is hot chocolate day.
Have a great week, Donna x

'Biscuits and gravy' conjures up a very different image here in the UK! Biscuits to us are I guess what you would call cookies....things to dip in your tea or coffee! And gravy here is brown liquid made with meat juices, for pouring over the Sunday roast. Yours looks like what we would call scones, served with what looks like mushroom sauce? Sloane's grandparents look very young!

Gosh, must have been cold at the pictures then, but warm seats sound ok to me. Lovely photos of the family there.
Cooking look good, made me hungry and it's 12.40am, so off to bed...take care.

I never heard of heated seats in a movie theatre but then again I haven't been to a movie in years. Glad the heat has left so now you can enjoy a cool breeze. The chicken looks delicious, never had biscuits and gravy. Nice post, Donna and have a fantastic week.

So many things to love on here today. First, I love window pics, there's just something about them. And your lacy curtain pic is pretty. Those McCormick sugars are neat. The girls are bakers and would like those. The jar with pinecones and pumpkin spice is nice. And I smiled at little Sloane on the front porch next to the pumpkins. How cute is that. You know, Jess likes those greyish pumpkins too! And lastly, great family photo.

Have a wonderful September week, Donna.

Sweet photo of Sloane and with her grandparents, yummy food and love that it is going to be hot chocolate weather again, took note of all those spices. Son and daughter-in-law went to see the new Beetlejuice movie and sounds like they had the same opinion as you. They still are big Michael Keaton fans though. Your pumpkin jar is really cute. Thanks for another great post and enjoy your week.

I love that pumpkin jar, I need to think about one for Christmas but no scents allowed. love the lights and my grandparents were never that beautiful/handsome. Sloan is truly a baby doll. I used to drink a cup of hot chocolate, minute mallows, each night while watching TV. but IBS stopped that, no chocolate allowed. I miss it so much. have tried all kinds of substitutes and found none.

biscuits and gravy are my favorite breakfast. I think I smell those biscuits now

The picture of Sloane just makes me smile. She is so adorable. Biscuits and gravy sounds good. I never thought to do the biscuits in the air fryer.
I saw those McCormick finishing sugars advertised somewhere. I wish I could spot them in the store. I would buy some.

I love everything about this post! I agree - September has been such a blessing! Your Sloane is adorable!
We slept last night with our attic fan on and it was wonderful! AC back on as of late this afternoon but I'm looking forward to cooler days and nights!
Your blog is such a pretty place to visit!!

Such a cute photo of Sloane and her grandparents.
It was really cool here last week, but supposed to be warmer for this week.
Love your Fall jar! And those biscuits look so good. I still need to get an air fryer.

Our weather has also turned cool and Fall-ish 💗💗💗.
Are those your roses in the first photo? They are beautiful.
Those McCormick finishing sugars would no doubt be great but go for well over $20 a jar on Amazon :(

I wasn't impressed...loved the first one though.

Even if you made it with Lactose milk? Or Almond milk?

It seems that your weather is actually colder than ours! We've got about 17°C and needed to close the windows ... lol
Loving that 1950s cooker, and yes, I want one too!
Hot chocolate with marshmallows is one of my favourites, yum!
I found myself nodding at Sooze's comment on biscuits and gravy. It's the same here in Belgium! The things one learns through blogging :-) xxx

This post is loaded with so many great things...I mean, you can't beat biscuits and gravy...OR wings! Sloan is so precious looking there with her grandparents. I always enjoyed grandparents day. We finally have some cooler weather here in Texas. how long will it last? Not long. I never saw Beetlejuice which means I most likely will not see the 2nd one. Blessings on this beautiful day.

Nice to have the windows open! We don't at night because of the bear...if I open them during the day I stand right there ready to close them! I need to make biscuits and gravy once of these days...air fryer biscuits I will have to look that recipe up!

Love all your pics, girl! beautiful family and delicious looking food! Not to mention cutie Sloane! Love the decorated jar too!

Omg...we've had the windows open too! Today...the air is back on, sadly. But...not for long! I LOVE a whole house fan. Our old house had it and we LOVED it. Our new house does not have one and I don't know how we could put one in here. They really help when the days are warm and the evenings are cool.

Sounds like you’re having a lovely start to the week with cool weather and some great family moments! I’m glad you enjoyed spending time with your granddaughter, even if the movie wasn’t a hit. It’s the memories that count, right?

I just published a new blog post. Check it out here: [Watcher (2022) Thriller Movie Review](https://www.melodyjacob.com/2024/09/watcher-2022-thriller-movie-review.html). Would love to hear your thoughts! Feel free to share it if you find it useful.

Yummy looking biscuits and gravy The hot chocolate looks delicious. Such an adorable photo of Sloane - such a precious gift from God! We had cool days here last week but things have once again warmed up. Continue to pray for rain...we are certainly in a drought. Hope you can continue to keep those windows open. I have mine up - always detest in the summer having to turn on air conditioning and shutting up the house. Hope that time is past. Have a great start to fall. Hugs! P.S. Looks like you are starting to decorate - what a lovely scented light.

I have not had good luck making biscuits in my air fryer. Perhaps I need to try that again because yours look magnificent. I also want to thank you for drawing my attention to those finishing sugars. I have got to lay in a supply of those for the cold months ahead.
