Merry Christmas to all my Blogging Friends!
I hope you all have been well and have all of your shopping and errands done? Only a few more days until Christmas...
We all have so much to be grateful for! It'll be raining here on Tuesday but clear on Christmas day...I'm SO grateful! lol...because it'll be raining again on Thursday, so...it'll miss us, if the weatherman knows what he's talking about.
We will be having all the children in for an early morning breakfast...Breakfast Tacos. Larry bought a three slotted warmer for the tortillas, bacon and sausage and eggs. We always talked about getting one but never did...Would have come in handy! I suppose better late than never.
Twirling and laughing without a care in the world...how wonderful!
I wanted to buy some body powder (Flower Bomb fragrance) and decided it's ridiculously expensive! We are not destitute by any means but...Why spend a gazillion dollars on something I can make at home?? So, I did! The above photo is my cologne and cornstarch with perfumed cotton balls pushed down into the cornstarch! It's wonderful! You just fill a container, with a lid, with cornstarch. Then get a cotton ball or pad and spray your favorite fragrance on it or them ( I used about 5 for my small container), then push them all down into the cornstarch. Leave at least overnight before you start using it...Wonderful!! I'll never buy expensive powder again! And several of my fragrances don't sell powder...so I'll make my own. I need to find a wider container with a lid. Time to go to the antique stores! I love the old glass jars...lol
Larry made Onion soup...It is wonderful! We just didn't bother with the fancy presentation. Cheese on top of French toast, laying on top of the soup. I just made cheddar toast on Italian bread...Lordy it was good.
I made a Nativity Scene back in 1980. The camel stands 10" tall at the pommel of the saddle. It took several months to pour the figurines...fire them then paint. It's a big set but I love it.
Well Friends...Here's hoping all your dreams and wishes come true! Be safe out there...stay out of trouble...because Santa is watching you!
So, until we meet again...Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, my friend. smiles
Merry Christmas, Donna, have a wonderful time with the family.
Your blog has made me hungry again. I'm drooling over several things. I might show up for early morning breakfast.
Love how magical kids make Christmas feel.
Those shoes for Sloane are pretty cool
Merry Christmas to you and Larry.
How sweet the children are in your photos and yes, children make Christmas even more special and fanciful! I miss the diners that used to have pies in a glass shelf and to be able to have coffee and pie at anytime! Such a great idea for the scented powder! Probably more safe than the talcum powders on the shelf as well. Wishing you a very merry Christmas!
A lovely post.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all, Donna.
I use essential oil on a cotton ball that I push down into a box of Kleenex. Makes the tissues smell so nice. I never thought of making my own dusting powder. Great idea.
Have a wonderful Christmas. 🎄🎄🎄
What you did with cornstarch and cologne I do with cotton balls and essential oil; then I push one of the cotton balls down into a box of tissues ( Kleenex). I like having lightly scented tissues.
Have a wonderful
I think you might be right that only a child knows the secret to the magical world of Christmas... but how lovely it is seeing Christmas through their eyes!
Your family Christmas breakfast sounds like just the thing!
What a wonderful idea to make your own scented powder. These things can indeed be ridiculously expensive ...
Wishing you and your family a magical Christmas! xxx
Dear Donna
I wish you a Merry Christmas to you and your family!
So many things to love about this post. The zoo looks so festive and all lit up and magical for the kids. I know what you mean about a good old fashioned diner. I miss them. But your chocolate croissant looks really good. And the Chinese food looks delicious. I smiled because my son gets those crab and cream cheese won tons every time. You had a nice break with that yummy hot chocolate. Wow, you made that Nativity scene! So much work and love went into making each piece. And Sloane's shoes that light up! - she's going to love them. And lastly, that is the most delightful picture of the children looking out the window and seeing Santa and his reindeer.
Merry Christmas Donna.

And a Fabulous Merry Christmas to you too.
I love your Nativity set. So wonderful and creative..That sure was a lot of figures to make. good for you.
Ummm now I want Chinese Food. I get a hankering for it every now and then. Maybe we will go tomorrow after our church's Christmas Eve service..they do an early one so there is still time for dinner.
And how did you know that chocolate filled croissants are my very favorite? Yummm
Love the sweet photos of Sloane and cousin. The excitment of Christmas!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hi Donna, a great post! That’s a real sweet photo of Sloane with her Mom and cousin and to the Christmas lights. We can all see Christmas through the eyes of a child. When they are little, it is magical and yes, how wonderful! She is going to love her fancy shoes! Libby is a cutie. Your Nativity is beautiful and meaningful. All your food looks yummy and thank you for the flower bomb fragrance recipe. Wishing you all A Merry Christmas and A Very Happy New Year!
Wishing you a merry Christmas Donna !
Festivities look good there. We're having a white one. The plows are active this morning.
Merry Christmas to you and all of your family, Donna. Have a magical day.
Love,
Beverley
Happy Christmas to you all, enjoy your time with the little precious ones.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Janice
Merry Christmas! Hope you had a wonderful day. Fragrance is not my husbands friend as it bothers his breathing, with only 19% lung function every fragrance be it shampoo, conditioner, body soaps, household cleaners, candles all cause his lungs to become irritated.
Donna, love everything about your post. Always such a delight to come and visit and get new ideas. You are so creative and I love seeing your all your handiwork, and it's fun to see what Larry cooks up!! Praying for a wonderful and more peaceful New Year. Love and Hugs.
Yes! Pie and coffee! There definitely needs to be more places to get a cup of coffee and a nice slice of pie.
Merry Christmas from me to you and your loved ones, Donna.
It's very hot here at present. I'm melting!
Take good care. I hope 2025 fulfills all your dreams. :)
Hi Donna, and Merry Christmas since we are still celebrating the birth of Jesus!
I’m sure you had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones. Your fragrance jar is such a good idea! Little Sloane and her cousin looked like they were having fun. I talked my son that lives with me into going to this old farmstead that was out up and we walked around. It was beautiful!
Happy New Year to and your family. ♥️
Love all the different foods you have. Happy and Healthy New Year
