Good morning friends...
It has been a few weeks! Long and short of it, Larry and I have had the flu...I suppose that's what it was.
Several weeks of this garbage... we are SO ready to feel human again. I think we rounded the corner and are on the way up. There's no one to cook, clean or shop for us...so we are going out to get some things, much needed. There's something to say for large families...lol
The yard man put in our flowerbed. Hopefully it'll start taking off.
Here's the suspicious character that we believe we may have gotten the bug from...lol...I kept her (Who Wouldn't!) even though I thought I shouldn't but...Sam has no one to help out. They both had to get back to work and Gamma couldn't resist.
Oh well...that's what families do...
Got the quilt top finished and I'm taking it over to the longarmer to finish it up.
Well, I don't feel like creating my usual images for Food Court and saying goodbye, this morning. Just wanted to hop on here to let you all know what was going on with us. Hope you come back...lol...it's been a little boring here, to say the least.
Thank You for the visit!!
Hugs
Donna

Good morning. I wondered where you were. The flu, had you gotten the flu shot?
I loved the rabbit up top.
Your garden once it grows will be gorgeous. I don't know how you are going to water with that bird's nest there! The quilt is beautiful.
Those cinnamon rolls like Heavenly!
So very sorry Donna that the flu bug got you down for so long. I missed you and all of your delightful stories. That sweet baby made it more worthwhile though.. (:0)
Love your quilt. So much hard work but so satisfying too.
Onward and upward !!!
Sue
Sure hope you are feeling better soon. Such a precious little one. I would have watched her too.
Oh man, the flu is the pits! I have a friend who fractured a bone in her hand tripping over a granddaughter - we said those kids are dangerous! But yes, she's adorable and worth it, right? However, I'm glad you're feeling better.
The quilt is beautiful, the cinnamon roll looks beyond yummy!
Hi Donna, you were missed. So sorry you had the "bug". I was out of touch for a while waiting for my surgery, but so glad all went well and I'm back in blogland. Your food is always one of my favorites to see. I get inspiration, and sometime make what you've mad. My version never looks as good as yours haha.
The quilt top is so lovely, and adore the colors and patterns you have chosen. Have a good Week End. Hugs.
I am so sorry to know you have been sick, yes, it hit here too...actually, 2 weeks and still coughing here...it comes and goes, sigh. Actually, the dr. ran blood work etc. and really doesn't know what it was, whatever it is, it's not nice. My parents had it too and mom said it took nearly 3 weeks to start feeling better, sigh. Wishing / praying you to get back to 100%, my friend.
Glad you're on the other side of the flu. Not fun stuff. Oh that baby is just too irresistible. I wouldn't be able to move that bird or nest. That's so sweet. The cinnamon roll looks very tempting. Hoping you are able to start getting out and about again. Have a wonderful weekend.
so sorry about the Flu bug. This ugly bug is beginning to die down in our area. I do hope you both feel better and that it won't take long for you both to gain all of your strength back. How beautiful the quilt top looks and I know it feels good to have completed it. Your yard is going to be stunning as the flowers all begin to bloom. Thanks for sharing this photo of your precious little one. she is so cute.. hugs to you.
Sweet post . . . I feel for you with that bird building her nest right where your hose is. What will you do? I had a robin one year build one in a low rose bush . . . right where the dog could get at it . . . they don't always make good real estate choices. I had a time guarding the rose bush until her babies could fly away, but you have a new flower bed to keep alive. Good luck figuring out want to do.
Oh dear me, that is no good at all, get well soon.
Love the monkey..lol
Those sweet birds, that is difficult to water with them there. You garden does look lovely and will be very pretty when it grows.
Cute baby however they are petri dishes of virus, Bacteria.
Very sorry to see you and Larry have been so sick Donna. My sister-and brother-in-law have this type A flu bug. It’s a horrible one that’s for sure. Hope it won’t be long before you are 100 percent. Your suspicious little character is so adorable! A sweet photo of the dove on her nest. She is lucky to have you looking out for her.
Second consecutive flu posts. It surprises me how frequently consecutive posts of some topic or other occur.
Sorry you got the flu, hope you feel better soon!
Donna, I am so sorry to learn that you and your husband have both been so ill. My husband and I both had a virus that held on forever, but we are back to doing all of our usual activities now. Even our energy has returned!
The new flowerbed is beautiful! And that bird is a perfect capture! Is it a Mourning Dove?
Hope you feel all better soon. I missed your Food Court pics! lol
Glad you are feeling better. It does suck when both you and hubby are sick and cannot go out...but agree spending time with that sweet face was probably worth it. Your flowerbed looks nice. I cannot plant anything until mid May or sometimes longer. Janice
Oh no! I'm sorry that you were ill. Sounds just awful...poor things! The quilt is beautiful and I can't wait to see the finished quilt.
Oh, an influenza! Hope you will get back all your energy. I also has a bad infection. Little virus of small children grew into big infection in my body :)
Adorable impressions from your blessed home. Your great family is in your heart and all need you!
And : I LOVE the pigeon 🕊️
Many greetings and blessings to you from Dori from the Bavarian Forest
I'm glad you are feeling better now. How sweet is the dove nest on the garden hose!
Oh Donna I'm so sorry y'all have been sick. How awful for you but I'm glad you're on the upswing. Mercy I have never seen such a comprehensive and gorgeous flowerbed! And your roses! Wow those are giving it their all! Breathtaking. Much like that gorgeous quilt and that cinnamon roll, hahaa xoxo 🏴☠️
Flu bugs ... or similar are not good. Pleased to read you are beginning to feel better.
I think your flowerbed looks good and I like the quilt.
Aww sweet bird sitting on her nest.
As we say goodbye to April I wish you a happy and healthy new month of May.
All the best Jan
Glad to hear that you are on the mend and beginning to feel better. Your flower bed is very pretty and the quilt is absolutely beautiful. Take care, Donna.
Looking at that "suspicious character," I can totally see why you couldn't resist. Those little ones are experts at sharing everything, including the flu, but "Gamma" duty is hard to turn down when they look that sweet. It’s the price we pay for those snuggles, I suppose.
Glad the crud is gone and you're both feeling human again. Great job on the quilt top. Do they fille and back it when they do the longarm?
