Traveling South...

Good morning Friends...
Hope you all are doing well.  I know some of you aren't and I'm sending you prayers and hugs with love!
I'll be traveling South on Thursday.  My daughter and hubby are going to a resort in Cancun.  Tim was given a reward for his hard work.  Top man in sales for Praxair.  And believe me...he's earned that, and more.  So... their regular dog sitter is on vacation and I'm next, on call. lol... glad to do it.  Three pups... a boxer bigger than me...and two little terriers...all old.

These photos were taken about three years ago.
Moving on...of course there has to be photos of the great grands! lol

Sloane

Lottie...laying on a quilt my mother made, so long ago.

I drove south to my favorite quilt shop last week...Then I saw the DQ sign...well, it sounded good! lol

Rotisserie chicken from our local market.  They are always a winner...chicken dinner...!

After church this last Sunday, we just had to grab some Terry Black's barbeque.  When you smell the smoke in the parking lot, you know it's real barbeque!
I suppose that's all the thrilling news I have for you...
I have a new post on my sewing channel, if you're interested.
Here's hoping you are all safe and happy...Sending prayer to those of you that are under the weather.
Have a great week and I'll see you next time!

Hugs
Donna

Prayers for safety as you travel South to be a blessing by being the dog sitter. :)

Those girls! The picture of Sloane is precious and that Lottie...my goodness but she's adorable.

Thanks for the food court pictures! I've got scones in the oven for breakfast when my hubby gets home from his doctor appointment. So that will take care of the craving I always get when I look at your food court pictures. lol

You will have your hands full on Thursday taking care of the dogs. Little Lottie is getting bigger each time I see her, and a sweet picture of Sloane. Oh, I love those rotisserie chickens from the grocery store. I want to rip them open and take a bite right then and there haha. The barbecue meal looks delicious too. And that is the most charming kitchen. I used to have a red tea pot with a country theme back in the early years. DQ dipped cones are the best! I wish you beautiful May days, Donna.

How awesome that Tim was rewarded with a trip to Cancun. Hope they have a great time. And I hope you enjoy the dog sitting. That rotisserie chicken looks so good. I pick them up often and can get several meals out of one chicken.

Safe travels on your journey South, Donna! It sounds like you’ve been "promoted" to the best job in the world, Chief Dog Sitter. Even if that Boxer is bigger than you, there's something so sweet about looking after a group of "old timers." They might move a little slower, but they sure do know how to give the best thank-you snuggles. Huge congratulations to Tim, too! Being the top sales rep for a company like Praxair (they do some heavy lifting in the industrial gas world!) is no small feat. A Cancun resort sounds like the perfect way to celebrate that kind of hustle.

Have a good trip and a safe one. Oh those "granddogs" are so adorable. I'm sure they will appreciate you love and care. Our son has had several boxers. They are good dogs. When our son walks Jax every morning, he calls and visited with his Dad. Special times.

Enjoy your trip. It has been a long time since I’ve gone anywhere, so I have to admit to being a bit envious. Be safe!

Hi Donna. Hope all is well with your trip south and the dog sitting. Congratulations to Tim for getting the reward for his work. It is good that his company recognises that. I hope he and Crystal enjoy there time in Cancun.
Your front yard is looking good and it will be even better when it fills out the space a bit more. Look forward to seeing how it grows.
Sorry to hear that you had flu a few weeks ago and hope everybody is well again now.
Sweet pics of Sloane and Lottie. Lottie will be running around with big sis before to long. Such sweet girls.
All for now, catch up soon x

Such a sweet update, Donna! You always make everyday life feel cozy and full of heart. Your trip south to help with the pups made me smile — they’re lucky to have you on call. And those great‑grandbaby photos are just precious… little Sloane Lottie on that quilt your mother made is such a treasure. Your food photos had me hungry too — rotisserie chicken, Terry Black’s BBQ… yes please! Wishing you safe travels, a smooth week with the pups, and lots of happy moments along the way. Hugs!

Pet-sitting is tough work. I see this first hand while carpet cleaning pet stains. Some people are blessed with great patience.
