Thursday...and She's back...

Crystal's back at work today...throat is 95% better. She insisted on coming in...that's just her. I think she should have spent another day at home, but, that's where that thing called power comes in...LOL...yeah.

Well, it's already Thursday. I got to work this morning and my computer went on the fritz again...The OS on this thing is Professional 2000. Getting a little old. I think WindowsXP would be wonderful but convincing Hubby is another story...Probably won't happen.

Cooking for the weekend holiday?? What 'cha making? I think I'll make up a barbecue "type" sauce for shish kabobs. I've got a good recipe at home for it. You make up the sauce, cube the meat and veggies; soak them in the sauce overnight then grill 'em the next day. Geez, it's good. But that only takes care of one day....for a three day weekend. And you can't forget dessert!! Cheesecake anyone??? I'd better get my thinking cap on!
Y'all take care and have a wonderful night and I'll talk to you tomorrow...
PS- Go take a look at the new blog Dabrah created just for flowers...mainly Roses!! I Drooled!!

Lordy, I haven't even given a thought about it being a holiday weekend. I totally forgot. Probably won't be much anyway, James will be in the fields unless it rains so I guess Zach and I will just hang out.

Have a good one my dear!!! It is just a normal weekend here.

I am having 9 for dinner tomorrow night - all Middle Eastern food. So guess what I'll be doing all day - cooking. Here in PNG we have to make everything from scratch - no delis no pre-mixed anything so it will be 2 days work. But it is fun - afterwards!!!

Hi Donna, We have a bank holiday weekend here too, so it's three days, including Monday. I have a great spare ribs recipe if you want it, and a mean beef in beer that you can make in a slow cooker.
I went to Chelsea Flower Show yesterday, and took a million pictures of roses, the best of which i put on a blog I've called Roses which you can find on my profile page. I know you like roses a lot, so I thought I'd let you know you can help yourself to any or as many as you like.

Tell your husband that WinXP is MUCH better and more stable than Win2000 Pro.
My extended family is doing a campout with hotdogs and s'mores, and then a brunch the next morning. We're cheating on the campout though, we're camping in my relative's yard!

Mmmm cheesecake! The kebabs sound great...I may have to try something like that soon!

I love my XP. I've been looking in to getting a new laptop and I hate that Vista is standard. I don't know enough about it really, but I'm thinking I may take it in (if and when I procure one) and have somebody put XP on it and take Vista off.

Hope you have a beautiful weekend!

Donna said...

Christine- Vista is wonderful as long as if you download or purchase software for it?...Make SURE it's Vista compatible!!! I've got it on my laptop at home. Lots of bells and whistles. You have a Wonderful day sweetie!!hughugs
