Waiting to Post!

Hang in there with me!Hahahaaa.....I've got the GranBabies and have been watching TV for the latest on Gustav!  Crystal will be picking them up this afternoon, and after they leave, and I've had a Huge Martini....oops, I mean Coffee...I'll do my post!! Later Guys!!

Gonna be a Month!!....or Longer!

Well, Friday's almost over....thank goodness!  What a Week!  The Hubby has now decided that we need to change computer programs....from Peachtree to Quickbooks and his old flat rate program to a new one that will work with Quickbooks......grief!  His old flat rate program refuses to do "as promised" and is costing us money in the long run.  I can't tell you how many phone discussions he's had with the company that created it but, there has been...many.  Oh well.  SO...that means lots of learning for all of us at work.  Anyone out there work with QuickBooks?  Just wondering how difficult this "learning" is going to be....Gads!Hahahaaaa......

Hubby will be spending his Saturday at the shop with the Computer Wizard, installing XP, hard drives, etc., while the Grandkids and I go to the grocery store and then to the movies to see the latest Mummy movie.  Poor Hubby...BUT...he doesn't care for the Mummy movies anyway, so he's not too sad! hahaha......Crystal is off on another motocross thing with Tim so I've got the babies.  Hope you all have a Wonderful weekend!  I'll be reading about QuickBooks and listening to....Guitar Hero? Lolol!!  Night All!  

Got Some Stress???

Well, last night, I came home and just HAD to have some good old blackeyed peas with cornbread.  Whipped up the batter, cooked up the blackeyes and Went for it!LOL....Good!  

.....Blogging interruption!!  Had to run over to Crystal's house and Save the children from a....Snake!Hahahahaaa....geez, it was a tiny garden snake, but Sami was terrified!!  In the door I walk and there on the floor was the culprit.  I'd say, about 6 inches long......It was more scared than the kiddos!  I just threw a kitchen towel over it, scooped it up and carried it outside.  No, I didn't get any pictures...too much Chaos!!  And Stress!! Hahahahaaa.......sorry.




Now, here's a little test we All need to  take!! Hahahahaaaa.....My stress level was only 37%! I mean, Really! What can you do about life except just Roll with the punches?.....Nothing...and I mean Nothing, is worth wrecking your mental, emotional  or physical health over.  Well that's about it for my day....Hope Your stress level isn't too high!!  Happy night or day everyone!!

Dancing With God

When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing 'dance' at the end of the word.
I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.
It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

Isn't that pretty? I got this in an email this morning....makes a lot of sense. Dancing with God...I like that......alot.
Well, I was Perfectly Lazy this weekend! It was quiet. Of course, Lord of the Ring was on...all three of them...Hahaha....geez. Hope you all had a happy weekend!!

Goodness, for lunch, Hubby took me to Don Carlos's Mexican Restaurant! I feel like a beached whale! Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas....heavenly. What a Flipping Idiot, I am........

OhMyWord......LOLOL......Ever been in a bookstore....in a hurry....you see a book sitting on the shelf that Really attracts your attention? I have...I grabbed it, looked the cover over Really well...flipped it over and read the summary...decided it was going to be a fun little romance...fantasy, and ran to the checkout. Getting home I throw it over into the "books to be read" place, and I go on about my business! That was probably about two weeks ago. Last night, I'm ready for my fun little Fantasy....LOLOLOL....ohmyGod......SLUT!!!.Hahahahaha..I don't think I even made it to page fifteen before my gut instincts were screaming at me to THROW IT AWAY!!! Did I listen???.......So, I flip to the middle of the book and start reading.....GEEZ....slammed it shut! I actually looked around the room making Sure no one saw me!!! I haven't done That since I was a kid, for cripes sake!! How could this BE? ME!! Loosing my mind and buying one of "those" books?? Where Was it? How did this happen?? I broke my Own cardinal rule!! I bought the book because of the cover....It's really beautiful...but it's Absolute, Trash....filth.....I'm so embarrassed I can't even take it back to the bookstore!! I grab the book back up to see what I MUST have missed on the cover....there it is...bottom right hand side of the cover...a small critique of the book by Romance Junkies (geezzz...that's a tip-off) Fairyville by Emma Holly..."the queen of erotic romance"....LOLOL.....Right! Like I'm taking This back and having to hand it over to the pimply, horned rim eye-glassed teenager, that sold it to me in the First place...with a grin on his face, that I Didn't understand, the first time around!! And you don't EVEN want to know what was on the last two pages.....Hahahahahaha......not really....it's now in the secret trash can....in a secret trash bag with NO LABEL....waiting for the TRASH pick-up men.....oh my WORD, I hope they don't find it.....LOLHahahaha.....night all!

She will have Lots of tips to share with us And has asked for tips from Us as well to share on the blog! Thirdly.....a Bit more of a serious note....I can't say Who, but I'm asking for Prayer for one of the people on my blogroll. This person has had a bit of a scare and has requested prayer...I Know I can count on ALL of you, to put out there, the intent of healing....There's Power in group prayer! The Making of a ..... CupCake...LOL

Well, I made one...cupcake, that is...(NOT THE ONE IN THE PICTURE!!)...I wanted at least one Brenda Photo Challenge photo to be something I made....Hahahaha.....I tried. Miss Cupcake? If you're reading this? Do Not look at my Brenda Photo Challenge pictures this Saturday...I am a disgrace to All cupcake makers!!LOL...I thought it was going to be SO easy! Just get in that kitchen and whip one out!!.....RIGHT! Hubby unlocked the back door....I caught him before he headed back to change out of his work clothes..."Honey! Wanna see my Challenge cupcake?".....Hubby decides to do the right thing...I open the refrigerator....he sees it.......(You know that "look" they give you Right before they start laughing???).....so Please Cupcake, don't look.....LOL....I shall now slink off to bed, dreaming of two other entries to submit....sweet!
I Also want to welcome my sweet childhood buddy to the world of blogging!! Ellani and I worked hard yesterday to get her new blog up and running. She's a little nervous about learning everything, but like all the rest of us, she'll learn!LOL...Geez, took me Forever!!

Sunday Toys and the Wylde Woman & Man Award

I have been doing.....ZIPOLA....LOL....Well, I Did make Chocolate Ice Cream with my new toy! My old ice cream maker is getting tired (after 30 some odd years). SO, I'll only use it for making four quarts of Big Red Ice Cream! The new one is a two quart, which is All Hubby and I need. The new one is a Cuisinart 2qt and it Really does a Good job! It has one of those tubs that you stick in the freezer 6-24 hours. It Really does Work!! Sorry about the picture quality...Crystal(daughter) took my Big gun camera (Canon XLT) with her to "T"'s Motocross race, so I had to use my baby HP537....It's a good camera to, but when you get use to the "other"...LOL...."Ya Want It"!!.......

Col. Paul W. Tibbets, pilot of the B-29 Superfortress ENOLA GAY, waves from the cockpit just before taking off from Tinian Island to drop the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima. The 9,000 lb. bomb was dropped from 31,600 feet and detonated at 8:15 a.m., August 6, 1945, about 1,900 feet above the center of Hiroshima. A blinding light, tremendous explosion and dark gray cloud enveloped the city, followed by a rising mushroom shaped cloud. The Japanese estimated 72,000 were killed and 70,000 out of 76,000 buildings in the city were destroyed.




40mm guns of the USS HORNET fire at Japanese suicide dive bombers, the Kamikazes, as the carrier's own planes were raiding Tokyo, February 16, 1945. By the end of the war, Japan will have sent an estimated 2,257 Kamikazes. "The only weapon I feared in the war," Admiral Halsey said.

We had a good time last night! I picked William up at the daycare then we went to the barber shop for a haircut. While in there, the barber said he wanted me to look in a box!! What?? He said "she" wanted to go home with us!...LOL...It was a puppy. Sorry, didn't get a picture, darn! It was a cross between a poodle and a Chihuahua. It Was really cute, but no thanks. Corky's 17 years old and declining. I just couldn't do it. Will asked Crystal though...Hahahaha...Don't think that puppy is gonna get to go home with William either! After we got home, I fed him and he played Guitar Hero, watched TV and wrestled with me and Gampa....Crystal and "T" took Samantha to a concert...Don't Even ask me the name of the group....clueless!lolol....William stayed with Gamma and Gampa...

Corky had the right idea though! He just slept through it all! Smart old dog...
I can see already, I won't be able to get back into my book...Acheron. I tried to discuss this with Crystal, but she just screamed and covered her ears, singing...LALALALALA.....!!!LOLOL.....GEEZ!! Today when I came home, sitting at my back door was this big box...??? What on Earth? Who is this from, I wondered....and Then I saw it...Blondie! You Sweet little Scamp!!! I raced inside to open it...carefully. It began to wiggle around on the table...I Gently cut the tape and Who should pop up but.....


Miss "Candy"!!! HerSelf!!! Miz Blondie Made her!!! Isn't she Special!!! A face only a mother could love!!!!LOLHahahaha......She jumped off the table and ran to the fireplace and got herself settled in! "Evil Spirits", she said. "I'll keep them Out!".....so there she sits....watching!!

Well, we did Nothing this weekend!! Nice! I take that back. We Did go to the BAM bookstore Sunday. Did a little shopping and came home. We also had William (grandson) Saturday night, but that's Not work....I got Lots of sugars!! This morning Hubby got out to his truck to go to work and it wouldn't start! Geez....So, out came two batteries which got put into my Jeep and off we went. It's diesel...those are lots of fun when it comes to repairs. Well, hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Brenda Photo Challenge is Tomorrow!! Ready?

The Brenda Photo Challenge is tomorrow!  I Finally got mine scheduled to post...last night!!..LOL...Geez Louise!!!  I got to work this morning, only to find my office Filled with balloons! (Don't know Why)....  Crystal and Christi worked Very hard to surprise me...They did!! LOL...I think the balloon sitting at my computer Does look a bit like me!hahaha...Thank You Sweet Thangs!!   I Love You to!!    Nothing else new here...hot...hot...hot...is about all.  I ran around yesterday like a crazy woman, looking for...Play...LOL...I Knew it was hiding here Somewhere!  They're not much but they are the Best my feeble brain could come up with.  I promised myself  I wouldn't gripe about the weather when it got hot again....Especially while I was So cold in February....Hahaha.....I Lied!!!  I'm whining....I know it...And I Know you'll cringe when I say it....I'm SO ready for December (see?  I Didn't say "it")!!!   So with that said, I'll creep back over to the sofa where I  find some Excellent reading awaiting me.  Happy Night All!  See you in the morning!!

Research on duct tape was published in the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine (Oct. 2002). Parents were told to cover the wart with a piece of duct tape for six days. If it fell off, they were to replace it. At the end of the six days, they removed the tape, soaked the wart in warm water and then filed it down with an emery board. The duct tape was replaced the following day and the process was repeated for two months or until the wart disappeared. In this study, 85 percent of the children treated with duct tape were cured. Most warts disappeared within the first month. In fact, the study found that duct tape worked better than freezing warts off.

Crystal called the other night wanting to know if we had any duct tape....LOL....Geez!  We Did Not want to know...why...She said "T" needed it to clean his motorcycle....ok....Happy night everyone!

I Loved this movie....and after Years of looking for it (since 1987) to come out on DVD, it Finally has! When it came to finding a name for my blog, this was the first thing to pop in my head. So, does this qualify for Wordless Wednesday?? LOL.......Had to try...Now you know the Rest of the story....Hahaha.....night all! 110 Degrees and a Hot Phone

Good Grief it's HOT!! I Know I love Summer, but this is a little Too hot!! Heat index: 110 !!! My poor plants are withering and the tomato plants produced...Nothing!! That's a never. I see on the weather map that there may just be a storm headed our way from the Gulf of Mexico....We are SO ready for it. Hopefully it'll cool things off a bit.

Well, the technology bug bit me again! Samsung's "Instinct" touch phone. My Smartphone...??? Can't See The Lettering without my reading glasses...GADS!!! Sliding keypads are Not for me. Those buttons are just too small as well! Can't tell you how many calls I've missed or messages I can't find!! I'm tired of trying to be a computer whiz kid...The KID in the store just looked at me politely as I stood there explaining (whining) why I didn't like my present cell phone...LOL...Should have seen his face! I then just stopped talking and decided to cut to the chase...I asked if they had a phone for "old" people...."Oh Yes mam...step over here"....The "Instinct" was calling my name. One finger navigation..."I'll take it"....It Is cool....Just move your thumb all Over the face of it. Takes you where you want to go!   I left the store a happy camper. NO Guessing!   Well, that's about it for today...Hope you're staying cool OR warm where Ever you are and I'll talk at 'cha tomorrow!
