Thank you for this words! It's so true!
And thank you for your visit in my blog. I am sorry to hear that my new blog not let you come in there.
But I know why. The blogger system tells me that it is a spam blog. But it isn't! Now someone shall controll it, and then everybody can come in. We have to wait a few days.
Have a nice Sunday evening, and a good coming weeek!

I'm with you enjoying every once of the holidays. I started listening to Christmas music yesterday. So much of it out there and so little time to appreciate it in. So true this will be a hard time for many people, so definitely a good time to get back to the basics.

We went out and bought our first Christmas gift for one of the kiddos today, so we're thinking ahead.
There's a radio station in St. Louis that started playing Christmas music 'round the clock back before Halloween! You can access it on the internet, too. Let me know if you want the website.

Merry Christmas to you!

I'm trying to get in the mood myself. Our last few Christmases had some negative attached to it and I guess I'm finding that I'm approaching the season a bit skeptical these days.

Readers digest version of a really long story....on Dec 17, 2005 my youngest son was abusing Coricidan Cough and Cold medicine and using other illegal drugs too. That night he began acting out his plan to tie up his family, steal from us, murder his brother, and run away from home. When that plan didn't work out, he attempted suicide. He ended up in a behavioral hospital for 5 days, then long term care for 65 days then 5 months in a half way house. He was doing well and relapsed the next year during the holiday season. Then ended up in the army. Last year he was in Iraq for Christmas. He went AWOL in the spring. He is stateside and has turned himself in to the army in April. Now he's waiting to see what punishment they will give. His court martial hearing is in early Dec. He could be put into prison by Christmas.

Not sure why I typed all that...I meant to just say Merry Christmas.

God is good and Christmas is a joyous season to celebrate His goodness.

Donna- Spoken like a True Elf!!!Hahaa...HereHere!!Hahaaa...Happy night sweetie!hughugs

Jazzi- Good for You! I also picked up little what-nots while I was picking up the tree! Fun!! Yes! Let me know what it is!!hughugs

Karen-....My Sweet little love...Bless your hearts!!! I can identify with the drug abuse. Our Son also had or has a problem. Ruined his marriage and he's been on the skids for quite a time now. He was in the Air Force and scores so well, they attached him to Nuclear...after "promising" to put him in the car pool (work on engines). He had classified clearence...Well...that ended That so he goes out and disobeys orders to get kicked out. It worked. After that, he bummed around Ohio, California and coastal Texas...now he's back and wants to join the Army...I took him to the recruiting office last week...They said he could join, no problem so far and would get E2 or E3 pay. The time in the AF counts. We're still waiting to hear... asked him if he Realised this could very well mean Iraq or worse and he said yes, he did...he was fed up with living the way he was...He's 38yrs old now...We've been 'ta hell and back...but hopefully it'll get all ironed out...It took me Many tears...many black nights to understand that we All have choices and That includes our Sons, Sweetheart. I don't know how old your child is, but believe me when I say, You Never stop loving them...BUT, there Does come a time that you STOP the fear in its tracks...You finally realise that Nothing...let me repeat that...Nothing YOU do is going to Change them...That MUST come from within Themselves. You did not Force him to make the choices he has made anymore than I did...I would die for him, but I Refuse to let him kill me...I truly believe that they have their Own lessons to learn while here on Earth...We All do...so little one...Stand up, loose the fear...give love and show compassion and "close the bank"...it's hard...but I will continue to smile and feel joy...I tell my son, Come along with me...the best is Yet to be...I believe it for both of our Sons...One day they'll be happy...I just know it...believe sweetie!!!
PS- I sorta remember someone else saying the come along with me thing...Browning somebody??LOL...

Hi Donna,

I love your Christmas look. I decorated my blog for Thanksgiving today, not sure I like it much but it's only for two more weeks and then I'll pretty it up for Christmas. Thanks for letting Maddie join the club. LOL She loves Christmas, all the lights, ornaments all of it but she hasn't seen Santa yet so not sure about that. Have fun decorating. Kari told me she's been decorating her house all weekend.

Donna,

Thanks for your words of encouragement. I really didn't mean to unload. I do agree with all you wrote. I KNOW those things about turning loose and not letting it keep me from living. BUT sometimes (as you well know) the emotions creep in and gets triggered by something. My son is only 20. He's going to be home this next weekend for a few days and I find that I'm on edge when he's around. So I do appreciate you prayers and words of encouragement. AND I am OKAY!

I don't usually post about this because of family members & co-workers who read my blog.

Joan- You're Welcome! Maddie's a sweetie for Sure! I just couldn't Wait till after Thanksgiving...and Christmas, as you know, is my Favorite holiday...Happy Day Sugar!hughugs

Nonnie- Yes it's only 45 days from today!! Times's a Wasting!!hahahaa...Happy decorating!hughugs

Brenda- Hahahaha...goober! Don't you know He INVENTED the slingshot?!! His Elves took top honors at last years SlingShot tourny???Hahahaa...Have a Smiling day sweetie!!hughugs

Sharon- You Go Girl! Get those cards done and haul out all those ornaments!!Hahaa...Have Fun!hughugs

Karen- Yes, I Know those "moments" WELL....day in day out...BUT! Once you set your mind to shutting them OFF, and you CAN, with practice, you'll really start to see the difference in yourself and how you AND your family feel and react...Practice! When one of those moments start to crawl into your day...say to yourself, "STOP"...and then get busy doing something...(wash the dog...clean toilets...the kitchen floor)! Get Physical! I Know it Sounds Hokey, but I Promise it works!! Before you know it, you will have conditioned your mind to stopping those "moments" automatically! It Really works. It saved my sanity and enabled me to...accept. I know he's 20 and my Son was at least 30 before I Finally learned to practice the technique. Save yourself those 10 years and start now...I'm Determined to make the Best of my situation and so far, I have. Hardest thing I've EVER done. When you feel yourself falling into that dark "funk"...say "Stop", then get physical...I had No one to help me...everyone just sort of...went away...
I promise I won't blog about any of this on Your blog...If you just need someone to scream at or To...I'm Always here for you!!! Now pull out that Christmas Smile you've packed away so long ago, and give life another chance!! It's worth it...for You, your family and Especially, your Son...Love to you Sweetheart!!hughugs

Jazzi-Thank You for taking the time to hunt this down for me!! Happy day sweetie!!hughugs
