Expensive Day Off...

Cute little David...Works with his Dad in the Air Conditioning business. He grew up across the street from us. I remember when he was just a BABY!!!Hahaaa.....gads
And THIS is, Dad...LOL...WHAT?? Well, I kept WAITING for him to turn around but he just kept on Working!! I don't think he wanted his picture taken!LOL...This may have been expensive to do but let me tell you...this sucker will blow you right out of the house! It's worth every penny! Summers get really hot here and when your A/C keeps running just to hold temp, THAT gets to be expensive. We put off doing this for the past two Summers but couldn't wait any longer. It kept freezing up on us last year.
Well, guess I'll go spend the Rest of my day off mowing the front yard...got the back done this morning. Y'all have a happy night or day, doing whatever you're doing...

That is a BIG a/c unit which, no doubt, is much more energy efficient than the old one. Ours is 10 years old and seems to be doing just fine.
And we do have hot summers....I remember when no one had a/c. Those are days I don't want to remember.

Do you have an extra one? We've got a good heating system, but the a/c leaves a bit to be desired. We are using gaudy window units, and I'd rather them be gone.

Well I am waiting for the air conditioner people today! We had a new bigger unit put in last July. And now it is freezing up on us. What gives? It never happened with the old one but it just went kaput one day (the compressor) and we had no air during those 100 degree plus days last year. Ugh it was awful had to wait TWO WEEKS for them to get us on the installation scheduled. Good thing you are having yours done now. Where is that air conditioner truck...I want mine fixed before it gets hot!! LOL

I may be the only one but I hate air conditioning. I won't even use it in my car. My husband on the other hand loves it. Guess who wins out most of the time...lol

You don't have to make excuses for why you got a butt shot of the A/C guy...LOL

I have loved living in the San Francisco area for the last 33 years...no air conditioning needed. Rarely, does it get over 70 daytimes and nights are much cooler, usually down to about 55. I love sleeping cool. I'm from Georgia and I went to nursing school at Charity in New Orleans. It wasn't until our senior year that we got air conditioning at the dorm and hospital. I don't know how we did it!

We have been wilting under record temperatures in Thailand these past few weeks. 2 compressors failed the same day my son was to have a birthday party cum sleepover. *Sigh* the immutable Murphy's Law.

I'll bet that your summer will be very comfortable this year with that!

thanks for the memories -- last time we did that- it was indoor unit and outdoor unit-- 4 grand out of pocket . ugh- choke- gasp. and it wasn't that big, i don't think. no doubt y'all will be comfy, and save tons on the electric bill for a while to come.

as for the other stuff i want to say-- public just aint the place -- and email will sound - defensive. the written word is never the way it's meant to be said. if you still have my number i'd appreciate you to use it? alot has already been misunderstood. there is so much more to 'me' that you don't know.

bleh.. this is not the place.

enjoy your A/C-- and your day--
HUGZ
nuthin sideways about anything-- just sorry i'm not a better communicator.

That is something we have been putting off for a while too. There's nothing wrong with our unit except that it's just a little too small and has to work too hard. Not a fun way to spend money!
