I Be Canning and Stuff...

Here's some 12x12 papers I finally bought and did as a bunch of you suggested, and cut down to 8 1/2 x 11. I'll play with these on the scanner tonight hopefully.
I Canned this weekend....Finally! I had bought several pounds of tomatoes and thought I'd try my hand at it. It Worked!Lolol...I did everything I was suppose to and in the end, those lids all popped just like they were suppose to! I had more jars than tomatoes...but I now know approximates on both. Next, I think I'll try my hand at jelly. Well, hope you all had a great weekend! I'm Also letting all the Brenda Photo Challenge participants know the Blog is Closed for the Holidays! I'll start it up again in January, so check back. InLinkz Also notified me they are going to start charging for the link so I've found someone else to use...It looks easy to use but I just need to play with it. Y'all have a great night!

One year I was in the kitchen canning tomatoes with a friend while my friends wife and her friends were watching football. I enjoy the garden goods over the winter, but you need to grow these next. Doesn't take much to grow them, I start mine from seed inside.Jelly is harder to do, I have made some rubbery messes.I don't eat enough of it to warrant making it anymore.Good luck!

Good for you, and they look delicious!! Hey, I made jelly once. LOL

I think the problem with scanning the paper might be that it won't repeat seamlessly as you go down like true wallpaper should. That's okay as long as your okay with it.

What's wrong with what you have?

Looks fine to me.

I've always wanted to try canning but thought it looked like too much work. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to it.
That stinks that inlinkz is going to charge but at least you found someone else to use.

I'm a great veggie, relish, pickle, and fruit canner. Can't do jelly, screw it up every time. I wish you lived closer, you could come and can maters with me next summer.

I need to know how you put the scanned images in the blog. Hurry up and tell me, I am waiting with baited breath. I can't wait to try that. Nice tomatoes...I found my pressure canner in the basement when we cleaned up down there. I will try my hand at it again once we move.

Good for you, to get some canning done! I haven't done any in quite a while. Freezing is our thing these days, LOL. Hope all is going well with the blog background project! Those sure are pretty papers!

I love making my own sauce from the tomatoes in the garden. It is so much better and easy just to open the jar and heat it up. I really freeze more then can but some things are so much better canned. They look great.
